Amaro is the Italian word for bitter (amaro) herbal drinks like Ramazotti, Averna and a trillion lesser known ones. These liquors were the literal base for this elaborate set of four fonts. Each has different uppercase letters and some of the lowercase letters vary as well. Amaro-A, B, and C can be mixed freely. The Amaro-D has underlining swashes in two different lengths, the uppercase has the shorter underlines and the lowercase the longer ones. Diversa is a typeface that takes a very different path from the most fonts, both in terms of appearance and usability. Diversa is a single typeface with 9 fonts within, containing 2760 glyphs*, divide in 9 stylistic sets, but the main difference is that all the glyphs are kerned with each other, which means you can swap glyphs between stylistic sets and keep them properly kerned - unbracketed serifs, bracketed serifs, engraved, stencil, sans, slab, baroque, stencil sans, stencil slab and a stylistic set that mixes them all in a rotative feature. Elastica is a new handwritten type system created by Resistenza, it is based on humanistic sans serif fonts of early 20th century. Since I have my new logotype people are asking me about the typeface it is based on. But it did not exist and I did not believe that it would actually work. I still love my logotype and so I went on to try to make it work as a font. After many different versions and some doubts I am glad to present Jocham. It is the first typeface with my name. For an obvious reason. There is only one weight with an italic. I tried different weight, but they were all not as strong as the final.

The inspiration for this font came from a wall-writing in Cuba. At first glance we thought: "There is something wrong with the wall-writing." But a closer look revealed, that it just mixed up different stroke-styles. That "feature" became the designing principle behind CA Segundo: Round characters like O, U or C are available either with a fat or a thin stroke, whereas other characters with orthogonal lines come in two different styles – uppercase characters emphasize the vertical strokes, while lower cases emphasize the horizontal strokes. This gives you the opportunity to design just while you type.

On occasion, one type design's influence can result in a completely different end result. Take the hand lettering found on a 1920s piece of sheet music for the song "Let Me Call You Sweetheart". The simple sans with a few Art Nouveau-inspired characters started out as the basic design of Concierge JNL, but shortly after beginning the project, the lettering took on more of an Art Deco flavor. Add to this the many rounded-edge characters that have a bit of a techno look to it and the typeface takes on many different design characteristics.
