I started this font on a Monday and I finished it the Monday after, so I guess the name is right! Another Monday started off as a bit of doodling (with a Sharpie pen) on a piece of paper. Before I knew it, I had a complete glyph set and it looked nice. Another Monday is a bit messy, uneven and maybe even a little weird, but it will look good on postcards, packaging and labels.

In 1966 and 1967 a series of weird events spooked Point Pleasant, a small town in West Virginia. Spinnenkop is an old Dutch word which means both ‘spider’ and (in dialect) cobweb. The word forms the basis for that English word: cobweb. Spinnenkop is a magical font. I didn’t use witchcraft to create it, but when it was finished, it reminded me of old fairytales, spell-books and potion recipes. Cursivo Saxonio is a typeface inspired in the famous book The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, by H P Lovecraft. It shows better than I get with my studies the authentic "Insularis" or "Cursivo Saxonio" handlettering of the VIII and XI centuries used by some people in Britain. The text on the accompanying poster reads: “Corwinus necandus est. Cadaver aq(ua) forti dissolvendum, nec aliq(ui)d retinendum. Tace ut potes”

Kudry is an elegant and noble typeface for extra large sizes. It looks good in cultural projects and exhibitions, logos, book covers, theater posters, wedding invitations, cosmetic and cake packaging,— basically any case in need of a beautiful typeface. It is a type family that consists of the modern serif and the contrasting sans serif, the weird serif and the stencil type. Both serif and sans have three options for different point sizes: Display for extra large sizes (from 72 pt or 96 px), Headline for large sizes (from 36 pt or 48 px) and Text for medium sizes (from 14 pt or from 24 px). Each style has a variety of alternate characters, swashes and ligatures, linear and old style figures, arrows and case-sensitive punctuation. Smooth and shapely without a trace of fat. A seductively handsome devil without the attitude. This typeface wears a tie at the office, but keeps a pair of sneakers and a beach volleyball in the car. Ely Rounded is a family of four weights plus matching italics (with more on the way). Each weight includes extended language support for European, Cyrillic and Greek. Pantoufle is French for slipper. Not the flipflop variety (or thongs if you’re from Australia), but the one you wear indoors when it’s cold. I have some too; Spanish ones, made from recycled PET bottles. Here in Holland, we call them ‘Pantoffels’ and you don’t have to be a language expert to see the resemblance between the French and the Dutch word. That is because the French are probably more savvy when it comes to keeping your feet warm and the Dutch just borrowed the word, pronunciation and all! Pantoufle is a font I made with a big fat marker pen. My kids had used it to decorate some gifts for Sinterklaas (if you want to know what Sinterklaas is, look it up). Pantoufle comes with extensive language support and a full set of alternates for the lower case glyphs. Enjoy!

It's here, it's new and it's bamboo. Not to be mistaken for the lush magic of a read tropical rain forest, Tiki evokes more of a feeling of a tacky Hawaiian party or your weird friend's father's basement "Tiki" bar, with bamboo furniture , photos of Tahitian beauties, polyester grass mats and bobble head Hula dolls. Tiki comes as a family of two fonts, the basic outlined version and a solid version, which may be used separately or combined to produce multi-colored effects.

I have always liked Scandinavian folklore, although I have to admit that I didn’t know about the Fossegrim. Fossegrim is a fiddle or harp playing water sprite - usually friendly, but he has been known to lure children and women in deep water with his music. Fossegrim font is a little bit weird as well: I made it using a broken bamboo satay skewer and Chinese ink. It comes with extensive language support and a set of alternates for the lower case letters.

I have never stayed at a boarding house myself, but I’ve heard some horror stories. When I have finished painting the three fonts (using Chinese ink and a small brush), I didn’t have to think long for a name. Boarding House family consists of three distinct hand painted fonts - the complement each other, but can be used separately as well. The cover of the 1929 sheet music from the First National/Vitaphone picture “The Girl from Woolworth’s” had its title (“Someone”) hand lettered. This single word title was the model for Store Clerk JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions as well as solid and solid oblique versions (without an inline).
