After the success of our best-selling Mr Black, we decided to once more use my grandfather’s dry transfer lettering sheets. My grandfather was a Polish military cartographer and he left us some used-up sheets. The letters didn't transfer so well but we liked the way they were damaged. Mr Tiger has upper- and lowercase characters with up to four alternate glyphs. First three variations are only slightly damaged but the fourth one is usually more distorted. All of the glyphs have a very high resolution so they can be used in a large scale and they will still look great. One of the best things in Mr Tiger is the OpenType Contextual Alternates feature. It will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character. The script doesn’t throw random glyphs. For example in the word “HIPPOPOTAMUS” you will automatically get three different “P” glyphs and two “O” glyphs. It really works great but of course you can always fine tune it by hand.

Tokyo Olive was designed as an homage to nostalgic display types and advertisements in the mid-late 80s. The mid-late 80s was the era of the post-modernism and fancy-decorative design especially in Japan In other words, it was the mixture of superficial form-operation and girly taste. This curious design movement vanished without a trace in the 90s, but it had its moments. Tokyo Olive has voluminous and simple geometric skeleton (for post-modern) with rounded and craft-style stencil joints (for fancy decoration). We added a classic open style as a little spice. The mixture of those essences makes new impression we have never seen before. Tokyo Olive family consists of 5 styles for stacking color font. The alcoholic beverage Gin is drunk around the world, as far back as the 13th century. Originally distilled as a medicine, it draws its main flavour from juniper berries. Gin is colourless itself but – due to its smooth taste – a major ingredient in a long list of famous colourful cocktails. Gimlet, Singapore Sling, Negroni, Charlie Chaplin, French 75, Vesper, Tom Collins, White Lady, Aviation, Monkey Gland, Southside, Gin Gin Mule and New Orleans Fizz are but a few of them. That made us decide it simply cannot be missing from the Vette Letters font collection. Vette Letters designer Henning Brehm originally designed VLNL Gindicate for the 2015 action movie Hitman: Agent 47. It was specifically used for the logo and signage of the maverick ‘Syndicate International’ organisation in the film. It lay dormant in a folder for a while, when it was reworked into this flashy 5 weight family. LisaBeth Weber's eponymous typeface ITC Weber Hand is deceptively simple-looking. It's a handwriting face in a light, monolineal style with a slightly formal, almost angular appearance. Weber, who is an accomplished singer/songwriter as well as an artist and lettering artist, says she has always had an inherent sensibility with lettering." Her favorite subject in the first grade was penmanship, and when, as an adult, she got her first checkbook, "I thought it was very unfair that the signature always had to be consistently the same." The problem with scripts in general, and brush scripts in particular, is that the majority of them cannot be set in all-caps words or sentences. So as a rule of thumb most designers try to avoid brush scripts when they know they will be entering an all-cap zone. But here comes Bruschetta, so you won’t need to reduce your design options. Bruschetta is a great flowing brush script that can be attractively used in upper-lower, lower-lower, or upper-upper settings. The first Antique Olive fonts were produced by the French type foundry Olive, in 1962-1966 and designed by poster designer Roger Excoffon (1910-1983). All Excoffons fonts are flamboyant, elegant and highly stylistic. They include the Banco, Mistral, and Calypso fonts. Antique Olive was launched to rival Helvetica and Univers, but the shapes it took were totally refreshing. Antique Olive is probably the most striking Sans Serif since Futura and Gill, and more refined than either. It is perfect for posters and display material as it works well in larger sizes.

Clear Prairie Dawn is an original humanist sans serif family based on the designer's own printing. Designed for use as a text face, as a humanist sans it shares some of the characteristics you might notice in other such faces as Optima, Gill Sans or Stone Sans. Here in the heart of Santa Monica, in the disused 1940s aircraft hangar we like to call the Comicraft Studios, we know that times are tough.
