Broken letters[1] (German: gebrochene Schrift literally "broken writing"; English: blackletter) or Gothic letters, also known as German letters, are the typeface used in Europe West from the 12th century to the 17th century. Meanwhile, Danish spoke it until 1875 and German, Estonian and Latvian spoke it well into the 20th century. Fracture is one of the broken typefaces that is often considered to represent the entire broken typeface. Broken letters are sometimes also called Old English, but not in the Old English or Anglo-Saxon sense that was born centuries earlier. This group of letters is so named because it contains Latin letters that have breaks in the curvature of the letters, either in part or in whole designs. The fracture arises from a sudden dip when writing certain parts of the letter. In contrast, letters with perfect, unbroken curves, such as Antikua, are created from smooth, flowing writing movements. Grogoth is a font inspired by the Blackletter typeface, made with a modern impression but still looks strong and unique. In addition, Young Best font is also supported with multilingual characters that can be used in several international languages. Grogoth font is very suitable for use in making music album cover designs, tattoo logos, wishkey labels, packaging pomades and so on which are made with dark and strong concepts. October is the season for pumpkins - some of them are meant for soups, salad or other kinds of food. Others are cut into creepy looking pumpkinheads...and then there are the ones that are used for fun and games only! And that is exactly what this font is about! Pumpkin Boy is my laid back comic font with a jumpy x-height and crunchy lines. If you choose to write in uppercase only, the letters are a bit less funky, but still crunchy and great for headlines. Linotype Univers is a completely reworked version of the original Univers typeface family designed by Adrian Frutiger in 1957. After a long process of painstakingly detailed revision, Frutiger and the design staff at Linotype completed this large joint project in 1997. The result: a brilliant and cohesive font family of 63 weights and styles including the 4 monospaced typewriter weights. All the existing weights were completely redrawn, with careful attention paid to making the proportions more consistent with each other and improving fine details such as curves and thick-to-thin stroke ratios. The family was expanded from 27 to 63 weights, providing a much larger framework to graphic designers for choosing just the right style. The bold and condensed weights were reworked for improved legibility and on-screen application. The stroke weights were revised for consistency within each face as well as in relationship to the other weights. By following Frutiger's original designs, the humanist character of the sans serif Univers now comes through more distinctly. T he systemized numbering system has also been updated. With its sturdy, clean forms Univers can facilitate an expression of cool elegance and rational competence. In fact, the strong familial relationships between all the styles and weights make it a serviceable choice for large graphic design projects that require versatility with consistency. Frutiger was successful in staying true to his initial aims; the new Linotype Univers does indeed work in longer texts as well as for display settings. In 2010 the typeface family was extended and renamed into a more logical naming of "Univers Next" to fit better in the Platinum Collection naming. At the moment we were thinking about creating a new wide sans-serif, and an interesting question emerged during the trip: what font would be associated with autonomous electric transport. Then we thought it would also be nice to expand this theme visually. This is how the font family TT Autonomous came about. It is a modern brutal technological sans-serif. The basic visual characteristic of the typeface is the noticeable squareness of the characters and angular internal space. In addition, the typeface proportions tend to appear monospaced, but they are not really monospaced. The width of the characters is inspired by automobile logotype proportions, which are mostly rather wide. We could not disregard the fact that code lines in software for autonomous cars are traditionally typed using monospaced fonts and added a special monospaced subfamily to the TT Autonomous typeface. Thanks to the squareness of the characters inherited from the main family and the real monospace properties, the character forms in the subfamily turned out very specific and interesting. The Belgian native became famous in France, where he painted floral watercolors for both Marie Antoinnette and Empress Josephine. But what cemented his legacy was his perfection of a stipple engraving technique that brought his art to the masses. Botanical Scribe is modeled after the neat, cursive hand-inscribed legends on these antique prints. Because it simulates handlettering, the font retains a warm, organic quality not seen in fancy modern scripts while remaining both elegant and legible. Antique is a bold, classic font with high stroke contrast and no bracketing on the serifs. This letter style was hugely popular during the early 19th century and was the basis for a myriad of other designs. This version is based on wood type of unknown origin.

Meman is a practical sans serif that was enthusiastic about adding details to have more personality compared to a neo-grotesque typeface. The typeface was crafted between the concepts of mechanical oval forms and serpentine curves, with the help from open terminals, contrast joints. These 2 concepts are very different, but they balanced each other to help remain the neutral feeling as a whole. Many details are optimized so that on small scales, Meman has nothing special. But when use on bigger scales, letters are revealed to have been dived in visual flourishes, such as the "e". Also, to avoid broken fragments and remain neutral, some details were converted to alternatives. Meman has 9 upright weights (from Thin to Black), and some OpenType features like fractions, ligatures, custom decorative icons, and alternatives for "A", "E", "V", "Z", ... or "a". There are more than 660 glyphs, which support a wide range of Latin languages, including Vietnamese. For usability, the typeface was balanced and versatile, it can be pinned up as a headline or logo, and can still blend in a small paragraph.

FF Bauer Grotesk is a revival of the metal type Friedrich Bauer Grotesk, released between 1933 and 1934 by the foundry Trennert & Sohn in Hamburg Altona, Germany. The geometric construction of the typeface, infused with the art deco zeitgeist of that era, is closely related to such famous German designs as Futura, Erbar, Kabel and Super Grotesk that debuted a few years earlier. However, FF Bauer Grotesk stands out for being less dogmatic with the geometry, lending the design a warmer, more homogenous feeling. The oval “O” is a good example of that, as well as characteristic shapes like the capital M or the unconventionally differing endings of “c” and “s” which make for a less constructed look. St Atmos was the first commercial typeface of Stereotypes, the first of what’s likely to become a significant collection of headline fonts. The massive ink traps at Atmos give this typeface something of a three-dimensional feeling.

Modakshar was inspired by traditional Indic handwriting scripts which ‘hang’ from a common upper horizontal bar. Adapting this motif to Latin letterforms was challenging. The typeface was first conceived in the 1970's as a design project in school. The current digital design was completed in 2002. Basic motif was inspired by traditional Indic script handwriting.

NeuAltisch is a calligraphic version of a modernized, more rounded Fraktur. Blackletter fonts of this sort are useful for decorative purposes in certificates, invitations, labeling, and advertising. The family has two weights, plus three versions that are shadowed or striped. The shadowed versions have been deconstructed so that they and their derived font can be used in layers to add color.

Frederick Cody, as known as Buffalo Bill, and his renowned travelling Western Circus are now celebrated through the creation of the Buffalo Circus and the Buffalo Western type fonts, both developed quite in the spirit of the stirring wood type fonts from the 19th century. All characters are fully hand traced and vectorized and provided with appealing glyphs and cool catchwords.
