Risotto Script is a sexy font designed by Felipe Calderón, it represents the texture, sound, smell and flavor of food that come in those interesting packages with different concepts. This font makes you want to eat it because it is designed with a unique texture like a lot of vegetables, it has flourishes that suggest herbs and country roots. Calligraphy with folded pen and food packaging were two of the inspirations to develop this project that will work well wherever it is applied. Bushing is a quick serif experiment going for open light display type. For years I have always stopped and really liked what I saw with fonts like the original Cushing from the turn of the 20th century. This time the desire for a font was stirred by Felici's article in CreativePro on fonts from the beginning of the 20th century, especially his captures of Cushing No. 2 and the version commissioned for Norwood press from ATF. I'm not interested in historically accurate reconstructions. My desire is for the general feel I get when I see a font. As a result, Bushing has little to do with Cushing (other than the last six letters). But it is a Serif font with small serifs and a huge x-height with a very open feel. I like it. I hope you do also. I made it into a limited display version of OpenType Pro. I added small caps and oldstyle figures, as I can hardly work without them. But ligatures seemed silly for this one.

Samo Sans is a modern sans-serif typeface with low contrast strokes and is balanced between technical shapes and dynamic feeling. The primary type family is consisted of complete set of Latin glyphs for lower and upper case. Langston is an original design by Alex Kaczun. It’s part of a series of lettering experiments, manipulating body proportions, characteristic elements and spacing to achieve some dramatic visual effects. It is hard to characterize if Langston is an outline or inline font. The outline has the same thickness and proportions as the stems. And the inter-letter spacing is also visually similar. This creates a dynamic and interesting visual harmony throughout. Furthermore, certain design elements like the accents and punctuation symbols, break with the outline treatment, and morph into an interesting play between inline and outline. ‘Scion’ is an original design by Alex Kaczun. The inspiration for the typeface came from the Toyota SCION logo, which bears its name. In Alex’s own words, "I loved the simplicity, proportions and hi-tech look of the logo and decided to create an entire new design series based on its unique look". Originally inspired by manufacturer badges on old laboratory equipment, Centrifuge sports soft geometric shapes, wedge serifs, and sharply-angled terminals. The original version from this display sans-serif typeface was Van Condensed, published during 2004 (Latin, Greek and Cyrillic). Van Condensed Hebrew is the last script update, where the Hebrew characters follow the same design approach from the Latin characters (geometric structure, round corners). The only big difference between the Latin and Hebrew characters is the contrast, Hebrew letterforms contain reverse contrast.

That’s what people call ‘an experimental typeface’. Yes it is! It consists in letterforms designed in very strict geometrical parameters. I was not thinking about ‘reading’ when I’ve drawn this typeface — rather on different way of projecting our mental image of the words. Do not try to set a book with this type, please! One single version, one single font designed in 2000.
