Civita is a new 'Modern Type' with a high stroke contrast, distinct formal features, and a strong personality. It has a fluid ductus but nonetheless a solid structure. Civita is well equipped with many OpenType features which make it especially suitable for ambitious typography. The Civita family consists of 12 styles, comes in OpenType format with extended language support for more than 40 languages. All weights contain small caps, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals.

Started with a base of geometric shape, Havard is a Strong and Sturdy display font with an industrial feeling, college style, vintage look, and sporty and athletic theme. Best use for this family is for headlines, display, logotype, clothing, or any short text. Havard includes 12 styles, starting with a regular, regular with inline, shadow, bevel. Churchward Lorina is a four weight typeface family originally designed in 1996 by New Zealand type designer Joseph Churchward. A personable geometric sans serif, it possesses some of Churchward's trademark quirkiness but reamins highly legible and readable on screen as well as in print. The family includes Light, Regular, Bold and Black.

A ‘Brochette’ in French is a skewer. I used to be a tour guide and some years ago, I guided a couple of tours in Mali. Every night at dinner we had the choice of a ‘Brochette de Capitaine’ (grilled Nile perch on a skewer) or a ‘Brochette de Bœuf’ (grilled beef on a skewer). Of course, every night the Brochette came with French fries and ‘petits pois’ (peas). It was really nice, but after 4 months of eating Brochettes, I longed for something different! Brochette is a very nice rounded font. It comes with curls, swirls and swashes.

Aargh is a deconstructed, twisted mess of what maybe used to be Courier or Typewriter that is maybe a little tight for the genre, but it is effective.

Schlub is just plain weird. It looks like it was drawn with the left hand of a right-handed person using a gloppy pen yet remains very legible.

R&C is totally drawn with a ruler and a pair of compasses. It is advisable for technical drawing. By stacking its eight styles, all combinations are possible.

The inspiration source for Distinto Borders are the Black & White and Running Borders from the 1906 Abridged Keystone Type Foundry Specimen Book. Nine Black & White Borders and Thirteen Running Borders are compiled within this font, all of which can be formatted in various manners to allow maximum versatility. While we've adjusted the metrics in this font, your program of choice may override and use their own settings. Make certain that the point size and the leading size are the same so that the borders connect properly. For instance, the font set at 12 points, should also be set to have 12 points of leading. The bold weight was designed for the LP “I Thought the Future Would Be Cooler” ( http://ittfwbc.com/ ) by the band YACHT in response to their request for a typeface that was ‘lost in time’, and refers to neither strict historical models nor purely futuristic forms. I built a small family out from there. It works well in text, but just as well for display setting. I think you’ll enjoy using it.

Linotype Boundaround is part of the Take Type Library, selected from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests from 1994 and 1997.
