Banco was the first typeface work of French designer Roger Excoffon and was released in 1952. The strong forms look as though they were rolled out of sheet metal and feature upright, tapering strokes. Excoffon did not design a matching lower case alphabet for his capitals, but this was accomplished later by Phill Grimshaw, who also designed the light weight. What do you get when you mix iconic Cooper Black from 1922 with an even older font, equally iconic Windsor from 1905? Well of course, you get Manchego! Manchego combines the best of both: the plump features and serifs from Cooper with seriously bold forms, such as the oversized bowl of R, peg-legged N, pinched U and leaning a, h, m & n giving it an adorable retro-appeal. With these distinguishable features Manchego works extremely well with illustrations or can actually be used as an illustration per se. Despite its vintage charm, Manchego is fully equipped with modern OpenType features. Standard ligatures help with certain difficult character combinations. A rather droll unicase typeface, discovered in a 1970s chapbook of suggested lettering for Soviet propaganda posters, inspired this bouncy beauty. Way more fun than a barrel of Volga Boatmen. This charming, disarming, roly-poly typeface is based on handlettering discovered on a Sabena Airlines travel brochure of the 1930s. A circa-1925 poster for the chanteuse Arlette Montal, signed simply "Bouchard," provided the inspiration for this roly-poly romp through the alphabet. It takes its name from a popular East Texas summertime porch dance...or not. Delator font is a display typeface, inverted contrast, and condensed. Inspired by the personal experience of the designer who, with resilience and daily struggle, managed to get ahead. From the remnants of an old freeware font by Ray Larabie comes Cardholder Dispute SRF. Thoroughly rebuilt from the ground up by Jeff Levine, this post-80s techno lettering can also double as a pop culture font evoking 60s or 70s rock concerts and hippie colonies or (as the name implies) credit cards. The P22 Platten font family has been revisited and expanded by designer Colin Kahn. Platten is based on lettering found in German fountain pen practice books from the 1920s (you may have seen the similar Speedball books in the US). This round tip pen lettering is comparable to the basic forms used in grammar school teaching alphabets, but with a few original characteristics. The Italic version has even more of these unusual features. Geometric and simple yet casual and timeless. Perfect for many uses.

Fruehling, first released by the Klingspor Brothers foundry in 1914, is a rather calligraphic blackletter font designed by Rudolf Koch. This font was completely redrawn and redesigned for contemporary usage. The font comes with old-style figures, and the letters d, e, g, n, and t have swash variants. It is recommended to use also the OT feature Discretionary Ligatures.

Magnadens is a typography with thick, stylish lines that can be particularly suitable for headlines, posters and logos. The main peculiarity of this typography are the slightly arched stems on the edges, which gives it a solid base while maintaining a certain elegance. Wieynck Gotisch, a 1920s font family created by Heinrich Wieynck, was completely redrawn and redesigned for modern usage. Use this remarkable and eye-catching fonts in an appropriate context. This font contains a bunch of useful ligatures, and by typing 'N', 'o' and period plus activating the OT feature Ordinals you get an oldstyle numbersign. The round ‚s‘ lies on the #-key.

Farquharson is an all-caps display face, adapted from an early American woodtype, and designed especially for use in the book Charlie Farquharson’s Unyverse. The complete family consists of two fonts: a regular version and a stencil version. Alternate versions with slightly elongated feet are provided for A, H, K, M, N and R. Very eccentric, it is best used in small doses.

Otto Hupp's blackletter font, released by Klingspor in 1911, took its inspiration from the then dominating Art Nouveau designs. Some of its capitals express this with their lovely swash forms, and make this fraktur font less stiff. Hupp Fraktur contains a bunch of usefull ligarures, and by typing 'N', 'o' and period you get an oldstyle numbersign by activating the Ordinals feature.

Core Sans A Family from S-Core is a modern sans-serif typeface that is clean, simple and highly readable. The concept for LOLO City originates partly from my childhood, spending many hours playing a city simulation game, and also from my schooling -- which included architectural drafting and civil engineering studies. The building designs themselves are largely from my imagination -- but much inspired by architecture seen in my travels around Canada, America, Thailand, and Japan. Conga Brava is the work of type designer Michael Harvey, a combination of the high-minded, purist letterforms of revivalist, modern calligraphers with the mundane, even crude, lettering of warehouse stenciling. The resulting lyrical yet utilitarian forms have a visually exciting graphic effect, which Harvey has frequently used in his book jacket designs. Like his other typefaces, Ellington, Strayhorn, and Mezz, Harvey named his design after a jazz classic, Conga Brava", by Duke Ellington and his trombonist Juan Tizol. The rolling rhythm, polished swing, and stacatto brass treatment of the tune suits the look of this sassy roman design and even more so, its stencil mate. When you need a typeface that radiates sound and motion, think Conga Brava."

Cephalonia is a geometric sans-serif with a unique set of alternates that draw their inspiration from classical greek engravings. The crossbars in the alt characters O, E, F and D are the most notable examples of this greek influence. The landscape of Greece and in particular its islands were the inspiration behind the angular A, H and G, which conjure images of rolling hills and waves. Cephalonia's alternate Q and ampersand are completely original designs. Cephalonia combines the simplicity and elegance of the most famous geometric sans-serifs while adding original embellishments that make it something new and exciting. The end result is a typeface that can evoke a classic feeling while simultaneously holding an edgy contemporary feel.

The concept for ‘Scroll’ came to me fully formed when setting out to design a bold display typeface. The premise for this was to base the letter-forms on a rolled strip of paper. A simple enough idea in principle but one I hadn't seen before. After working out the basic characters I set about completing the full effect I was after. This was achieved by applying a suitably incised line following the curve at each turning point to convey the important three-dimensional aspects of a scroll. Although the phonetic name personifying the font was there as a working title from the outset, I didn't commit to it fully until everything was completely resolved.

Portculliard is in the finest traditions of 19th century blackletter revival. It's a lively mock medieval face, engraved in the manner of many a 19th century printer's plate ideal for recreating traditional certificates and invitations.

Creating Halla was a bit unusual for me since I started out creating the italic version first and that inspired the name Halla, meaning to tilt in Icelandic. It is also a fairly common female name in Iceland. “Halla” is derived from old Norse word “hallr” = 'flat stone, rock' or 'sloping, leaning to one side' Halla is a true italic inspired by handwriting and mechanical type. The combination of Light and Italic makes Halla ideal for advertising, branding, signage, packaging and editorial design.

Winterberry (Ilex verticillata) is a species of holly, native to the USA and Canada. I thought it was a rather cool name (pun intended) for a messy script font made during a cold spell. Winterberry was created using Chinese ink and a crappy brush - hence its messy appearance. Use Winterberry on your alt-Christmas invitations, your fantasy novels, your rock albums or your website! You’ll love it! Comes with a bunch of diacritics and some ripe double letter ligatures as well.

Richson is a font inspired by Pop Punk/Rock/Hardcore Music and the Skateboarding world. With Allcaps and multilingual support, Richson really fit for Band wordmark, album covers, video tittles, stickers, clothing brand name, t-shirt designs, badges designs, banners, flyers, and more. Do you remember that kid from Lord of the Flies? Why do I even remember that kid, I’m too young for that. However, his name was Piggy, and I wanted to make a typeface that resembled him. So this is my tribute to Piggy who got killed by that falling plastic rock in the movie. May he live forever through this typeface, on birthday cards, or maybe some sweet candy packaging or why not through an graphic identity for a toy company?
