Trinidad Neue™️ is a geohumanistic typeface developed by the Chilean Type Design Studio Sudaca. The origin of this work lies in an exercise of comparing classic Roman proportions (Trajan Columns) with the capital letter set of Futura by Paul Renner. I wanted to create my own Sans Serif interpretation of classic proportions. I started working with letters A, H, N, O, R and S. When I finished the uppercase set, this exercise transformed itself into a project. I started to develop a set of lowercase letters choosing as direct references Futura and Kabel by Rudolph Koch; always having in mind that the objective was to find a balance between the humanist and the rational or geometric. Here is when this group is formed, giving its name and identity to this family: Paul, Rudolph & Alexis. The result is a typeface with an elegant, modern and versatile aspect. Its seven stylistic sets make Trinidad Neue™️ into a Swiss army knife to compose short and medium texts for editorial design, branding, exhibitions, motion graphics, etc. The family consists of nine weight variants and its corresponding oblique versions. My »Cosma« has that special high-contrast Renaissance beauty but is very orderly in appearance. »Cosma« is a classical beauty with modern touches that make it unique. You will love this font. It is a great everyday workhorse with seven weights from UltraLight to Bold and all the necessary weights in between. Great for body copy and headlines! With 964 Glyphs it is a truly European font designed for all Central European and Latin using countries. »Cosma« has a set of Cyrillic that is also good for Serbia, Macedonia and Ukraine. Sorry, no Greek! But it has oldstyle- and lining-, tabular- and tabular-oldstyle-figures, many alternative letters and ligatures. On top I designed two sets of alternative, decorated caps each in normal and oblique. »Cosma« comes in Normal, Italic and Oblique, sometimes you just don’t want to use Oblique instead of Italic that would be too playful for the occasion. »Cosma« doesn’t come cheap, but I start off with an 80 % reduction, so that is a good chance to get all 49 cuts for a phantastic price. The original Avenir typeface was designed by Adrian Frutiger in 1988, after years of having an interest in sans serif typefaces. The word Avenir means “future” in French and hints that the typeface owes some of its interpretation to Futura. But unlike Futura , Avenir is not purely geometric; it has vertical strokes that are thicker than the horizontals, an “o” that is not a perfect circle, and shortened ascenders. These nuances aid in legibility and give Avenir a harmonious and sensible appearance for both texts and headlines. In 2012, Akira Kobayashi worked alongside Avenir’s esteemed creator Adrian Frutiger to bring Avenir Next to life, as a new take on the classic Avenir. The goal of the project was to take a beautifully designed sans and update it so that its technical standards surpass the status quo, leaving us with a truly superior sans family. Since then, Monotype expanded the typeface to accommodate more languages. Akira’s deep familiarity with existing iterations of the Frutiger designs, along with his understanding of the design philosophy of the man himself, made him uniquely suited to lead the creation of different language fonts. This family was inspired from the French edition of Hypnerotomachie de Poliphile ("The Strife of Love in a Dream") attributed to Francesco Colonna, 1467 printed in 1546 in Paris by Jacques Kerver. He was using a Garamond set (look at our 1592 GLC Garamond), including two styles: Normal and Italic (Normal carved by Claude Garamond, Italic we don't know; it was an Italic pattern very often in use in Paris at that time). We have modified the slant angle of the Capitals used with Italics because the Normal capitals were used in both styles in the original. The present font includes all of the specific latin abbreviations and ligatures used in this edition (with a few differences between the two styles). Added are the accented characters and a few others not in use in this early period of printing. Decorated letters such as 1512 Initials, 1550 Arabesques, 1565 Venetian, or 1584 Rinceau can be used with this family without anachronism.

»Supra Mezzo« – designed by Gert Wiescher in 2012/13 – is an unusual addition to the Supra family, a weight in between the normal and the condensed width. This cut comes in very handy if you need to put lots of text into a relatively small space without loosing readability. The compactness with great legibility makes Supra Mezzo absolutely unique. The light and normal weights and the dominant x-height with its high ascenders make for easy reading of long copy. The heavy and x-light weights are great for elegant headlines. Supra is an OpenType family.

Chimphand is an organic, natural and contemporary handwritten typeface with their tall x-height. Weights of light, regular and bold for both normal width and condensed allow you to play with the typeface more. In addition, you will have an access to their style sets ( Gap ) to add stencil-ish character to every weights. This gap style is much more subtle than normal stencils, but unique and nicely fit to the typeface. Gaps are more visible on larger fonts and bolder weights.
