Column Sans, talking about space efficiency. The character set that condensed can maximize the use of limited space without losing good legibility aspects. In the same narrow italic versions, the "a" has a closed form while the "f" has a descender. German designer Jürgen Weltin designed Linotype Finnegan, a modern text design with roots in the humanist letterforms of the Renaissance. As the recognizable direction of movement in writing runs from upper left to lower right, Weltin mimicked this in his design: Linotype Finnegan's up and down strokes end in residual serifs. All of the thick strokes have a taper; horizontal strokes and curves are noticeably thinner than the verticals. This dynamic nature lends a combination of individualness and energy, along with a high degree of variety, to Linotype Finnegan. Linotype Finnegan is a wholly new and unique typeface. Ovink is a rounded type family designed for great distance legibility. Named after the legibility researcher Gerrit Willem Ovink, in its early stages was subjected to experimental legibilty investigations of distance and time threshold methods. The results of this heavily influence the design. The high regularity of the letters also makes the typeface suitable for running text and the wide span of weights motivates a broad usage for the setting of both display and text. Ovink is also loosely inspired by Knud V. Engelhardt’s work for the street signage, designed around the years 1926-27 for Gentofte in Denmark. Being rooted in the Danish typography tradition, Ovink has a sturdy unpretentious look to it, yet compared to its predecessor the curves are tighter, and characters have a higher level of differentiation. "Guau" is a high-contrast display font with as many weights and versions as there are types of puppies in this fantastic world. It is thought to bring up glances in middle and heavy boxing weights, although you can also take its compressed and italic styles just for a walk. Remember when you first saw the credits of a Woody Allen movie and thought, "I love that typeface!" Well, maybe that was just us. That typeface—Windsor (specifically Windsor Light Condensed)—is a classic. But it has problems. The letterforms are sometimes REALLY wonky. And the ampersand is a tragedy. Plus, there's no italic, and the weights and widths available in digital form are a hodgepodge. That's where Mrs. Keppel comes in. Alice Keppel, one of the most famous illegitimate members of the Windsor household ever, lends her name to this typeface family with numerous weights and a true italic. It's a slim serif with Edwardian leanings. She's approachable, she's refined. She's equally charming and at home in mercantile settings, in elegant settings, in populist settings, and in Polite Society. She's a design response to a genuine need. She's Mrs Keppel!

The Irongate Font Family has a retro personality. The common denominators, in all the glyphs, is a blunt center serif. The main top & bottom of each Cap & lower case glyphs have 'fan serifs', yep serifs that fan out. This font's influence is based on a monogram I designed for my daughter's wedding where she described her image of the event being 'Classic with a Vintage Flair'. Irongate can be pictured on many things dated from 1918 - 2018. The font is available in 4 basic weights Light, Regular, Bold & Extra Bold. Toronto Subway is based on the lettering originally used for station identification and signs by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) in the Toronto, Canada, subway system. The first subway line opened in 1954. However, the original lettering remains unique. The lettering on the original signage consists only of uppercase characters and a few bits of punctuation in two weights: Regular and Bold, introduced in 2004. The Toronto Subway fonts were developed from rubbings of the lettering etched into station walls and photographs of painted signs. The overall style of the lettering is very mechanical, almost naive, yet still having a certain amount of elegance.
