Along Sans Rasoe is a pretty unique font family. It only tried to connect with lines, and it didn't use curves at all. And the equalization of stems was arranged irregularly. As recently as forty years ago, computers consisted of racks of vacuum tubes, each rack about the size of a refrigerator, with enough racks to fill a good-sized family room required to do routine data processing. This font is based on a monospaced typeface used on a lineprinter from that time, the Unisys 0776. Although its origins are strictly retro, the face retains a timeless techno edge, even today. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Something about the swoopy loops in the uppercase characters of this typeface, originally called "Ronde", reminds one of the signature 'do of a certain real-estate-mogul-turned-TV-celebrity, and so this font was named. Delightfully different, this face can be playful or formal, as suits the the occasion. To complete its nineteenth-century creds, the font includes classic bishops fingers at the ASCII tilde and ASCII circumflex positions. Ornes is inspired by the runic alphabet with ornamentation based on the woodcarvings of the Urnes Stave Church (Norway), an old wooden church from approximately 1150 CE. The woodcarvings and their symbolism reach back to the pre-Christian era. The Ornes Pro styles each contain the runic alphabet, ornamented caps, small caps, ornamented small caps and other pro OpenType features (as shown on the "Pro" tab). Ornes Ornamented Rustic Pro features a subtle uneven lowercase, but does not include a set of regular uppercase characters.

Fiesole was inspired by calligraphic models; it is a bookface font family to be used for text, display and caption. Fiesole has three different lengths of items (ascenders-descenders). Old style figures have been included in the fonts. Spacing of Small Caps has been adjusted to obtain good legibility and integrity with Capitals and lower cases. Fiesole Text: Two weights. This curly, swirly antique offering is based on a Victorian-era typeface called "Fillet". Arinar is a well modulated, rounded, humanist sans serif font family based on Brinar. In Lewis F. Day’s 1910 classic, Alphabets Old and New, the author presented the inspiration for this typeface as an example of German monumental lettering, most likely to suggest not that the typeface was really big, but that it had been found on German monuments. Bold yet charming, the face takes its name from a picturesque village in the Bavarian Alps which was the ancestral home of the Gröbl line of Curtii forebears. Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252 and CE 1250 character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

Letterpress type, crafted by H. Th. Wijdeveld, founding editor and chief designer of the legendary Dutch art and architecture magazine Wendingen, provided the inspiration for this typeface. The original design graced a 1925 issue examining the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, and Wijdeveld created his typeface by assembling bits of standard brass rules. This version features several of the meanders typical of Wijdeveld’s graphic design in the dagger, double dagger, ASCII tilde and ASCII circumflex positions. The inspiration for this font made its first appearance in the 1897 American Type Founders specimen book, under the name "Lithotint". As the name suggests, the original was tinted gray (diagonal lines formed the body); this version is solid and spooky, too. The font contains a few ghostly graphics, including ghosts at the bracket positions, a haunted house at the backslash position, and a scary backdrop at the ASCII tilde and ASCII circumflex positions. Tucked inside the November 5, 1927 issue of a German signpainters' trade paper was a single sheet headed Der Schilder und Schriftenmaler, which featured an alphabet called "Neue Fraktur". An exuberant (if somewhat unconventional) combination of Art Deco sensibilities and blackletter forms, the font retains its freshness, even today. Included in this version are Deco bishops fingers at the bar and broken bar positions, and a styling, horn-blowing herald at ASCII circumflex and tilde positions. Westside was designed by Adrian Frutiger in 1989 and is a kind of wood type. It is reminiscent of dusty streets, Wild West heroes and swinging saloon doors. The origins of this kind of typeface can be found in the early 19th century. Called Italian or Italienne, these typefaces quickly became very popular. The Iberian scripts are the Paleohispanic scripts that were used to represent the extinct Iberian language. Most of them are typologically unusual in that they are semi-syllabic rather than purely alphabetic.[1] The oldest Iberian inscriptions date to the 4th or possibly the 5th century BCE, and the latest from end of the 1st century BCE or possibly the beginning of the 1st century CE. The characters in this font do not contain all the characters of the Iberian script. If there are friends who need all the characters, contact me so that I can install the font on the system.

Architype Crouwel is a collection of typefaces created in collaboration with Wim Crouwel, following his agreement with The Foundry, to recreate his experimental alphabets as digital fonts. Crouwel's most recognized work was for the Van Abbe and Stedelijk museums (1954 –72) where he established his reputation for radical, grid-based design. Stedelijk first appeared in the seminal Vormgevers poster, commissioned by the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam in 1968. Crouwel created a rigid grid system across the poster of 57 vertical by 41 horizontal lines, also forming the basis for the construction of the letterforms. Although all hand drawn, the resulting typeface had a machine-made appearance. This striking black and white poster with its visible grid became one of Crouwel's most iconic designs. Architype Stedelijk now re-creates these letterforms as a single alphabet typeface in a digital font.

I bought a pineapple the other day, because my kids really like pineapples. Ok, ok, it may not sound like something special to you - but keep in mind that pineapples in Holland are an expensive fruit. We mostly get the canned ones (which I don’t like too much). Anyway, when I was slicing up the pineapple, I thought I should name a font after this bizarre, but tasty, fruit. And so I did. Pineapple Daydream is a handmade serif. I am not sure how to classify it, but I am sure you’ll figure that out. Comes with a plantation of diacritics.

Adrian Frutiger came up with this unusually purposeful and strong design in 1981 for Linotype. Early humanistic typefaces of the sixteenth century, especially Jenson, served as models for Breughel. The right sides of the stems are vertical and at right angles to the baseline while the left sides of the stem curve into the serifs, making the typeface look as though it slants to the right, and giving it a sense of movement and liveliness. The ductus of the broad-edged pen is reflected in the flow, rhythm, and texture of text set in Breughel, but at the same time this design has a regularity of form that is typographically solid. Breughel is an ideal typeface for the designer with skill and vision. Use it to create innovative publications, posters, and advertisements.

Pompeijana is a part of the 1990 collection Type before Gutenberg 2’, which includes twelve contemporary typefaces each representative of a particular era. Pompeijana is Adrian Frutiger’s contribution to the project Type before Gutenberg’. He based the forms of this capital typeface on the writing of the Romans in Pompei. The decorative look of the alphabet is achieved by purely graphic means, placing the emphasis of the top and foot of the letters with heavy horizontals and diamond-shaped serifs. Frutiger completed his typeface with the weight Borders, a font consisting of numerous ornaments true to the style of the alphabet. The ornaments can be combined to form different borders and offer an optimal addition to the elegant Pompeijana. Pompeijana is best combined with modern sans serif typefaces.

I started designing Volupia in 2004 and the main goal was to create a very casual font with some characteristics than we can find in some old commercial advertisements. After designing the basic character set I decided to go OpenType because it would allow me to go deep into the script, correcting the balance of the spaces and the kerning, along with the possibility to create Ligatures and Swashes. The result is a typeface ideal for use in very big sizes. Volupia includes Small Caps, Ligatures, Fractions, CE Characters, Swashes and Alternates. The ligatures and the ending swashes allow the user to make the text more calligraphic and personal.

Doretypo was born accidentally, during the design of a poster for a jazz festival in Rome. I was going to realize a typesetting, but I could not find the right character and decided to draw the letters I needed, starting from the first letter of the headline, capital M. I was looking for a lettering able to evoke musical notes, where each letter could be linked to the following one, to the previous one, to the largest at the top and the smallest at the bottom. From this idea doretypo came to life gradually. In the beginning there were a few medium capital letters with very few glyphs, but given the good results I decided to decline in light and bold, integrating minuscule letters, for a whole of 374 glyphs. Today doretypo OpenType is a family of fonts with three weights, 374 glyphs, supporting about 57 languages, ligatures standard, plus a new “NY”. Moreover, each glyph can be used individually to create textures and graphic symbols.

After several months discovering and developing the traits and personalities well balanced typefaces such like Frutiger and the other identical typefaces, Catesque was born as the new typefaces. The vocal flourish yet harmonious shapes not purely geometrically, it has imperfect rounded characters such as “O” “C” and “G”. Torjus is so rigid and stiff typeface. While designing a more dry and stiff handwriting typeface, I tried to remove the Bezier curves. Duktus is a script typeface with a 1940’s flavour. It is a delicate script with letters not quite connected, having large, flourished capitals and small lowercase with long ascenders and descenders. It has a crisp, precise appearance, but is not rigidly formal. The design was inspired by the typeface Donatello by Wagner & Schmidt in 1935 and published by Società Nebiolo, Torino. Fellbaum Grotesk is a condensed typeface with both grotesque and cursive/humanist attributes. Fellbaum Grotesk Regular presents a clean, “grotesk” exterior, while the Italic version features faint slab-style flourishes. These characteristics, combined with a subtle stroke contrast and slightly extended x-height make for a distinct, and artisanal appearance. The family was inspired by the condensed & sterile, yet quirky, sans serifs found on a lot of vintage apothecary labels & municipal street signage.
