Harri –“stone” in Basque language– is a display font based on the peculiar letter forms used in signs and fascias all over the Basque Country. This idiosyncratic lettering style, very often used as an identity signifier, evolved from ancient inscriptions carved on gravestones which can still be found in the French part of the Basque Country (Behe Nafarroa, Lapurdi and Zuberoa).Harri takes some of its more significant features from those engraved letter forms, but also from the current overemphasized shapes derived from them, while keeping in sight their antecessors: the Romanesque inscriptions and ultimately the Roman Capitals. Gerard Unger once said “the black version of a font is a caricature of the regular”. This may explain how the odd heavy shapes in use in the Basque Country today might have evolved from their engraved roots, which are already an interpretation of Romanesque and Roman letter forms. This evolution is echoed in Harri through its weights, from the clean formal Roman-inspired light to the extreme expressive Basque-style extra bold.

It sounds funny, but it can have serious consequences in people’s lives and their relationships. T. D. Jakes deals with the subject effectively in his DVD, He-Motions. We guys need to find our way out of the cave. Our women need to recognize what is going on and gently help us emerge from the cave. Men and women were certainly never meant to be identical, but it would be useful if we could learn to communicate our feelings in more healthy and effective ways. Brazilian designer Eduardo Omine designed his Beret family of typefaces in an attempt to create a warm counterpart to the clean, minimalist sans serif of the 20th Century. The most individual characteristics of Beret are the terminals at the ends of its vertical strokes. They are slightly bent", simulating a subtle flare. PF Libera was designed at a time of leisure with no particular intention for commercial use. In fact it was offered in the beginning as a freeware. In 2001, designer Charis Tsevis was convinced that it may have some commercial value, so Parachute obtained the rights to sell this typeface. At that time, we did not even imagine what would follow. Since then, PF Libera is one of our most successful typefaces. We have seen it being used in very diverse applications. This is a free abridged edition of the full-featured Gutenberg B and Gutenberg C fonts. Hello, friends! I have a good news! At last I have finished working on my Antique Initials color font. Wow! It was a long and hard work because every initial is unique. I sketched each letter of the font very scrupulously from scratch. Each letter is uniquely designed and has a unique flower pattern in the background. I used a pale old color palette to color these letters. There came out two font variants: a black and white and a nice colored one. Cypher is a techno looking font that attempts to employ the Gestalt principal of closure. It may, at larger sizes look like some sort of code or a bunch of dots and dashes, but when viewed at smaller sizes it falls together into legible words. This font family was first inspired by an experiment to try to make a legible upper and lower alphabet with the smallest grid possible that would still describe the letterforms. The original conclusion was that it could be done in a 3x6 grid. This made a fun design exercise, but it makes a lousy font. The grid was expanded a bit for aesthetic reasons to a 3x8 grid, But not restricted so severely and so occasionally goes wider than 3 for the certain letterforms. From this a whole family of widths and weights was born, and rather than simply obliquing for italics, a true italic of sorts was created. Pacific Clipper has its roots in an old 1930s showcard lettering style. An extra bold version of this sign painter’s relic is shown in Carl Holmes' wonderful book on lettering. It may be described as what happens when Rudolf Koch's Kabel Heavy meets ATF's Novel Gothic. Also known as Sam’s Tune, Pacific Clipper’s noteworthy features include wedged crossbars in the capital A, E, F, and H. Overcurving is present in the capital B, D, P, and R while vertical strokes in the lowercase b, d, h, k, l, and t are chopped off obliquely. Rig Shaded is an award-winning 3D type family with a geometric sans serif at its heart. As its name suggests, Rig is designed as a framework to support a range of striking 3D effects. It has four versatile weights including a unique ‘zero’ weight. Each has two grades of distinctive halftone shading, Fine and Coarse, which emphasises Rig’s solid appearance. Rig developed from my quest to find ideal letter shapes for a shaded typeface while retaining their geometric principles and legibility. One of the most unusual sets of antique stencils spotted for sale online comprises a set of twenty-four classic logos of early 20th Century automobile companies. For whatever purpose that is now lost to time, these stencils represented the logos of many of America's finest auto manufacturers; most now just historical memories. The logos were painstakingly redrawn, maintaining the distinctive look of the hand made cutting, although it was an exacting process - some of the images were taken at an angle, and a bit of artistic license had to be used as a compensatory factor.
