Oxima font family has been designed for Graviton Font Foundry by Pablo Balcells in 2021. It is a technical sans serif typeface with rounded endings that provide a mixture between strong general aesthetics and soft elaborated details. Its strong and industrial, yet legible shapes make it perfect for contemporary and futuristic oriented projects and suitable to be used in any sizes, from headlines to body text and everything in between. Linotype Contacta is part of the Take Type Library, which features winners of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contest. Ralf Weissmantel designed this font to display no stroke contrast at all. Instead of using conventional letter forms, Contacta is a more designed-oriented font, with some characters recognizable only in context, not necessarily at first glance. The technical, unconventional forms look almost like a maze, especially when set together. This font is not suitable for text but makes a unique impression in logos and headlines.

As a follow-up to his popular Chocolate font, Angel Koziupa softens his brush again to produce Felipe, a font made in the memory of his brother. Croog is a rounded geometric monoline typeface, built in three weights with true italics. Inspiration for this typeface was derived from FF Roice, with desire to create typeface less spicy or unconventional in appearance and more neutral, calm and friendly to use. JY Décennie Express was developed as a sans serif workhorse complement to JY Décennie. The basic roman design shares characteristics, and in some cases, characters (e, o, and others) with the serif version, making JY Décennie Express work particularly well with its progenitor. The design is friendly and approachable, as opposed to stark (the effect one usually has with Helvetica and other over-used typefaces). Calendula is a humanistic font with low contrast and one-sided serifs. There are eight styles: four regular of different weights from Light to Bold and corresponding italics. The main set of regular styles is close to upright italics, so the font is percieved as informal and friendly. However, Calendula allows you to combine business with pleasure by switching the stylistic set, and turns into a calm text font with traditional upright forms. The font was designed by Natalia Vasilyeva and released by Paratype in 2017.

Amitié is another typeface design by Ralph M. Unger. With its French origin already hinted at in the name, Amitié comes across as friendly and lively. This design reflects Unger’s interest and love in classical, expressive type with the right sense of style. Amitié is very readable at small sizes, but it can be used as well in headline sizes, e.g. for book title and the like. Miramonte Pro was designed by Steve Matteson in 2006 as a friendly sans serif design suitable for user-interface design, corporate branding and publishing. The hands in this font are the pointing, counting, threatening, signaling, demonstrating and playing hands I use in my own design projects. I have drawn them all with a felt-tip marker, scanned and digitized for use in a font. This picture font is more user-friendly than having single ps-files. A bit of background if you will: In early 2014, some friends from my college days banded together to form their own game company. Their first launch? A current Kickstarter they named SteamCourt. I love Kickstarter. It’s a fantastic platform, a great way for individuals to introduce the public to their visions. I've started a couple of them myself--both including fonts designed specifically for the projects. The first is Chatype, a font created exclusively for the city of Chattanooga. The second: Cabrito, a font developed as part of the children’s typeface book, The Clothes Letters Wear. It’s wonderful to work with so many others who come alongside to help you vision become reality. Naturally, hearing of my friends' project, I contacted them about adding a new face to their venture as well. I gave them carte blanche. They wanted steampunk. It was a great challenge, the result of which is now SteamCourt, an unforgettable display typeface that draws from the mix of Victorian regals, metallic and brass engineering, cogs, clocks and blackletter typography. It evokes a time of skillfully forged metalwork and an era of intrigue and excitement, filled with audacious feats of engineering and innovation and the perilous journeys of the airship. Etelka was designed for purposes of corporate identities, branding, product package design and outside lettering. It works anywhere an extremely legible typeface is needed. Package and label design often requires a wide choice of weights and widths: light and narrowed fonts to fit huge amount of mandatory informations onto a small box, or to squeeze text lines around a bottle, fat and wide styles to emphasize information on a poster or vehicle. The regular styles will serve well for business card, small texts and for your website. Etelka’s design idea is wide, open rounded square. Some details are extremely minimized: lower-case “a, n” or “u” lack their typical spur.
