Choc font is the work of French designer Roger Excoffon, based on the traditions of Japanese brush calligraphy, thick yet graceful. Choc light font was designed by Phil Grimshaw, who had to redraw many times in different weights before finding one that worked as a text face and remained true to the original.

An original calligraphic typeface blending the penmanship of French royalty with smooth, modern strokes. The result is a classical flowing design. Includes many accented characters from the Latin-1 Supplement set and others as well as kerning pairs for a tighter look in applications such as Word for Windows that support font kerning.

Many great lettering examples were found in the 1939 French publication by Georges Léculier, "Modèles de Lettres Moderns" ("Models of Modern Letters"). The kerning is perfectly balanced. It is made with a chisel-tipped marker determining its thick, square, flat stroke.

Egyptian Ornamented is a decorative font based on the shapes found in a French Clarendon. Serifs are chunky and bifurcated, and “spurs” have been added to the strokes. This font emits the feeling of Old West wanted posters, rodeo broadsides, etc. It was first introduced by William H. Page & Company in 1870.
