Designed with a flat brush and inspired by the modern fraktur from Rudolf Koch, Berliner Fraktur is composed by broken strokes, adding a handmade feeling to this geometric kind of calligraphy. Dessert Script is a display font in one style based on flat brush calligraphy. It combines the smoothness of contours, overall dynamics of text setting, open and friendly nature. Dessert Script is good for short inscriptions, greetings, food packaging and menus. The typeface was designed by Alexander Lubovenko and released by Paratype in 2015.

Artime is a dynamic display font based on strong graphic elements with rectilinear forms. Artime came in two style forms; a solid one called Flat and a decorative form with crisscrossed of vertical lines called Deco. Artime comes with Open Type features and interesting ligatures. Both forms are ideal for creating logos and headlines.

HU Cheonggye KR is a typeface for titles with thick strokes and wide flats, mainly produced with a retro feel. In order to bring out the characteristics of the retro typeface, a difference in thickness between horizontal and vertical strokes was applied, and obtuse right-angled serifs were applied. This font contains Korean characters.

The main 20-th century handwritten display font in the USSR, usually performed with a flat brush or a wide poster pen for all kinds of signage during 1920-1990s. Zedou was inspired by old Art Deco flavoured signage from the former French colony of Madagascar. It has a mechanical yet organic feel to it, and consists of four display weights covering Latin Pro.

Crayon En Folie ('Pencil Madness' in French) is a straightforward pencil font, created with an extra thick black pencil. Use it for books, posters and packaging. Comes with a coloring box full of diacritics.

An old printer's advertising cut for Red Star Oil Stoves yielded a typeface that was both vintage and somewhat techno at the same time. Originally drawn as a slanted logo, the individual letters had an array of chamfered, angled and flat sides combined with a bold outline. This font is available in both vertical and oblique versions.

Abel is a modern interpretation of the condensed flat-sided sans serif. Originally used for newspaper headlines and posters, this style can also be used for text on the web. Its angled terminals and spiked stems give it enough style to be unique at display sizes, while its mono-weight still works well at smaller text sizes.

Although the model for Arts District JNL was a set of wood type, the design influence is clearly from the Art Nouveau era. Note the combination of unusual flat and curved sides on many letters. Decorative, yet legible; Arts District JNL works well with any period piece or as a pleasant alternative to traditional headline fonts.

Bitstream developed Ang Thong for the Microsoft Windows operating system. The font is encoded with a Microsoft defined Thai character set, Thai Code Page 874. The font includes Thai glyphs and Latin glyphs from Dutch 801. Ang Thong (basin of gold) is a province in central Thailand which consists mostly of flat agricultural land used for growing rice.

Theatrics JNL gives a rounded corner treatment to Prismatiq JNL; which in turn was modeled from lettering found in an early 1900s French lettering book displayed at an online image sharing site. Limited character set.

Souplesse (flexibility in French) is a nice, uncomplicated typeface; happy beyond words, yet with a bit of a bite. The glyphs have a rough edge, yet remain very legible. Souplesse comes with a bagful of diacritics.

Faux is false or phony in French and Decaux is a spoof spelling of Deco, thus "False Deco". Faux Decaux JNL will still fit your Art Deco revival project and blends well with complimentary font designs.

A ‘Brochette’ in French is a skewer. I used to be a tour guide and some years ago, I guided a couple of tours in Mali. Every night at dinner we had the choice of a ‘Brochette de Capitaine’ (grilled Nile perch on a skewer) or a ‘Brochette de Bœuf’ (grilled beef on a skewer). Of course, every night the Brochette came with French fries and ‘petits pois’ (peas). It was really nice, but after 4 months of eating Brochettes, I longed for something different! Brochette is a very nice rounded font. It comes with curls, swirls and swashes.

This set of initial letters was inspired from French renaissance decorated letters. It is a typical pattern, one among dozen quite similar, but this one was in use in Paris, unchanged, for centuries, and was still in use in the beginning of 1900s. This explains the difference between I and J, U and V. These characters were engraved years after the original set. Our font was inspired from a late 1800s publication. It can be used as well with Humane fonts (like our 1543 Humane Janson or 1592 GLC Garamond) as with modern fonts like our 1820 Modern or 1906 French News.

Zydeco JNL gives the 'Latin' style spur serif treatment to Jeff Levine's Halavah Twist JNL, for a new and fun typeface named after the Louisiana French-Creole music popularized by accordion player Clifton Chenier in the 1950s.

Originally released as Éclair by the French foundry Deberny, Peignot & Cie., this face is pure Art Deco in motion. Both versions of this font support the Latin 1262, Central European 1250, Turkish 1254 and Baltic 1257 codepages.

The grandeur of what was Miami Beach had its golden years peak in the 1940s. One of the grande dame hotels that stood at Collins Avenue and 23rd Street was the Roney Plaza; built in the 1920s and demolished around 1969. An online auction offered a pair of gummed labels provided by the hotel to be used by their guests for shipping souvenir packages back home, thus also giving the hotel a promotional plug. Jeff Levine not only created two typefaces from this hand-lettered label - Old Miami Beach JNL and Old Miami Beach Nights JNL (a solid black version), but painstakingly recreated the look of the label for the promotional flag and banner for the fonts.

As as a computer programmer, it is my job to stare at screens of text all day. For my first font, I completed a simple monospaced font, Debug, based on my own handwriting. Mickey Mono is much more ambitious: I wanted a humanist design - something with organic curves. It had to be clean and fresh. It had to have the advantages of Debug, like distinctive numerals (to distinguish between 8 and 3) and huge punctuation characters (so I could read complicated Perl one liners). Mickey Mono would be a good friend to me as I struggled through difficult coding tasks. It has a wide range of Latin Extended characters and diacritics, so it can speak French, Portuguese, and Ruby. Veteran designer Bo Berndal has created Cartesius, an oldstyle serif typeface with roots in the 16th and 17th centuries, France and Venice. Bo Berndal: "Rene Decartes, the great French philosopher, was invited to Sweden in the 17th century, when the country was at the height of its power. In the university city of Uppsala he used the Latin name form Cartesius. The typeface that carries his name is inspired by letterforms from the 1600s, but upper case letters are of pure Roman type". Cartesius holds up well even under less than perfect circumstances, and is suitable for magazine and book design. It comes with a full range of styles, including small caps. Swedish type foundry T4 premiere new fonts every month. Cartesius is our fifth introduction.

Robeaugo is pronounced as “ro-bo-go”. The name is originated out of the 3 words: robo, beau (French) and go. It’s a mix of Art Deco with round shapes and is best used in headings and logos.

Simple Ronde is conceived for young pupils. This upright script is based on the french use at primary schools. A large set of ligatures make the links between characters more natural, especially with o, b, v and w.

In the 1946 French lettering book “100 Alphabets Publicitaires” (“100 Advertising Alphabets”) is a hand-lettered “Western” font called “Italian". This served as the basis for Cattle Town JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

NATH !* Is a peculiar typeface. It’s design came by the fascination of Optical Illusions and 3D on a flat surface, like with Holborn and Powerplay. Inspired by a handwritten Cyrillic placard seen in a book about the Soviet Union, Statue of Liberty's Underwear was envisioned as having been written with a very thick pen with a flat tip held horizontally. Additionally, the letterforms were sculpted to resemble lettering common in early 20th-century Russian constructivism pieces. A Cyrillic alphabet, or "azbuka", set was included in the font.
