TapedUp, Tinkerer, and Rumpled are based on the template I used for several letterbat fonts—fonts made of wrenches and bolts, hammers, or paper clips. TapedUp can be thought of as a font made from masking tape, and Rumpled is the same design but the tape pieces are wavy. Tinkerer is the same design but with elements that resemble what might happen if one constructed letters from Tinker Toys. All are caps only, but some of the shapes on the lower-case keys differ from the corresponding shapes on the upper-case keys. The Rumpled family has four members, the regular, an oblique, a shadowed, and an oblique shadowed.

Okay, we admit it! Comicraft's latest offering -- wrenched heavy-handedly from the pages of CHARLEY LOVES ROBOTS – is definitely a little awkward, maybe even loose-limbed and goofy. Those (usually) awfully nice chaps in the Comicraft studio are perhaps best known for their dexterity, their lightness of touch and nimbleness of finger rather than the kind of bungling, graceless, clumsy work evident in their latest digital alphabet. So, yes, MALADROIT is probably the most inept, cack-handed, undiplomatic addition to our catalogue ever submitted by freewheelin' John Roshell (formerly GAUCHE-ell) but might just possibly be the perfectly wrong font choice for your more bungling, inept, incompetent and hamfisted characters.

Rollerscript is, in effect, a more modern version of Olicana whose letterforms were drafted using a nibbed pen and ink. Handwriting tends to change depending on what instrument you're using and with Rollerscript the outcome is decidedly more casual and informal than Olicana, though equally realistic. Pronounced pressure points where characters start, end or join make for a very authentic hand drawn appearance which is enhanced still further through the use of over 100 standard ligatures. Character pairings like ‘tt’ or ‘gg’ in normal handwriting fonts never look natural but in Rollerscript will now automatically change as you type! Rollerscript’s handwriting credentials are given a further boost with the inclusion of multiple underlines and sketched icons, arrows and emoticons. Nosta is a modern text typeface. It was designed to be easily legible and therefore expressly suitable for setting sizeable lengths of continuous text such as magazine articles, books and essays. It achieves this through, amongst other things, finely balanced proportions, optimal character spacing and an adherence to predictable letter forms. Despite this, however, Nosta manages to retain a contemporary look and feel by using a variety of modern type design devices such as the efficacious wedge serif. The italic avoids using too many of the cursive elements that are often found in traditional italics and has only a modest slant, giving it a modern look that does not overly disrupt the text while still providing emphasis. The Mutamathil type family is the mid-size member of the Mutamathil type style. It has only one glyph for every basic Arabic Unicode character or letter. Neon Love was designed originally for a circle coaster design with a quote by the Beatles’ “All you need is Love, Love is all you need”. The inspiration of the lettering was a neon sign style where a cursive script is kind of bended from those glass wires. The idea was to get the overall look and feel of neon signs into a font, as well as creating a good raw material to use for some further photoshop effects to enhance the visual presentation. These fonts just ooze Christmas and holiday spirit from every curve of every letter! If Kingthings Willowless Pro is a Christmas font, well... then Kingthings Willow Pro is a Christmas tree complete with decorations and lights! This font is sooooo ornamented - but still quite readable. I have cleaned up all the outlines, redesigned the F (which looked more like a J), tweaked some more letters and then expanded the font with the usual multilingual glyphs. I loved this font when I first saw it, but was very nervous that it would be difficult to design the accents - but it was a breeze! It has been one of the most enjoyable fonts to rework so far. Genovaite Baroniene is former school teacher and a native of Lithuania who loves fancy letters. When she writes, she likes to add extra flourishes to her handwriting and printing. It simply appeals to her to do so. While living in the United States a few years ago and working in the health care field, she put pen to paper to provide a specimen of her writing from which a font could be developed. The process has taken longer than either of us expected. Now we are finally able to present Baroniene ML, a stylishly unique example of what we call Lithuanian Folk Baroque. Baroniene ML has a total of 362 glyphs, including the Unicode Latin Extended-A glyphs (0100 to 017F), covering the more widely-used Central European languages. To resolve the cedilla/undercomma conundrum, we have chosen to design a hybrid disconnected accent for use with C, G, K, L, N, R, S & T. We hope this solution is acceptable to users of Albanian, Catalan, French, Latvian, Portuguese, Romanian and Turkish. Baroniene ML also comes with four ligatures: gh, Th, th and Ch (167, 172, 177 and 181). Baroniene ML is certainly not the polished script of a professional calligrapher. It is very personal. The human source is still visible in its form. The letter spacing is uneven. Some of the curves are not quite perfect. In sum, the individuality has not been refined out of it. That is why it is so charming. If you want for a font that has a very different look, perhaps Baroniene ML is what you need.

Tiger Rag is the work of English calligrapher John Viner, who was inspired by Japanese calligraphy when creating this dramatic, informal typeface. The font is extensive and flexible, with many alternate characters. Tiger Rag is an excellent choice for casual display typography which should produce a fresh, random effect.
