Designed between italic and script styles Airco is a typeface designed between italic and script styles. The letterform finish is rounded. Designed ultra slanted (27°), the shapes evoke a fast and assertive movement. The result is a human typeface, dynamic, that will visually work well in technology and sport, without ever being dry, rigid or dehumanized. The structure of the letters is influenced by Renaissance italics, at the difference that in the case of Airco, the lowercases and capitals are visually homogeneous thanks to the giants lowercases. In fact, the default numerals can be used in capital as well lowercases settings.

A pure neo-grotesque typefamily inspired by the first typographies' old wooden characters, and by the marks soft and sometimes imprecise these left on the paper. All typographic elements are also influenced by the Cyrillic alphabet letter-form. -- HT Pavla Prospekt is inspired by ancient wooden typefaces and eastern-style letterform. This reference gives the letters unusual but characteristic proportions. The visual effect of the diffusion of the ink imprinted on the paper, which gives softness to the forms, is also very influential. Chunkfeeder was inspired by the many vernacular forms of lettering created for high speed printing and electronic displays found in our modern techie world such as postal packing slips, airline tickets and informational video displays. Many of these type of fonts are designed by engineers and interface designers who presumably do not have a background in letterform design and consequently these glyphs have many quirky idiosyncrasies. In keeping with it's mechanical inspiration, Chunkfeeder is a monospaced font, much like an OCR type font. Marian Churchland was born in Canada in 1982, and was raised on a strict diet of fine literature and epic fantasy video games. She has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (English Literature and Visual Arts) from the University of British Columbia, and has been doing professional illustration work, including book covers and magazine articles, since she was 17. Last year, she became the first woman to solo-illustrate a CONAN story, and this year she’s illustrating three issues of ELEPHANTMEN for Image Comics.
