This font is a collection of sketched spruce trees. Some are filled outlines, some are bare trunks and branches, and some are rough squiggles. Each can be used individually to suggest a tree, and the different shapes can be layered in different colors, to suggest texture, or snow cover. There is also a glyph of a mountain range, for a horizon behind your forest.

Meyer Two captures the early Hollywood flavor and nostalgia of silent-film intertitles. From 1922 through 1928, Mergenthaler Linotype cut five fonts to Louis B. Meyer’s personal specifications. Meyer Two, drawn in 1926, curiously combines Cleland’s ATF Della Robbia capitals of 1902 with lowercase and figures from ATF Post Monotone No. 2, also from the same period. Meyer Two was revived, with a Condensed added, by David Berlow; FB 1994

Old Claude was drawn by Paul Shaw to simulate an old cut of the classic (Claude) Garamond type designs of the 16th & 17th centuries. The pronounced rough edges and coarse letter shapes create the effect of letterpress printing with old foundry type onto handmade paper. The companion Old Claude Expert includes small caps and old-style figures. This "antiqued" design works equally well for both text and display.

Tecna is a modern sans typeface with straight cuts, rounded angles and curved thinnings at the endings that make the letter shapes fresher. The rounded characters are squarish giving to the layout a very structural appearance. Its wide proportions give big impact to the texts. The font, Madame, first appeared in a sample with similar fonts, presented by the Fonderie Typographique Française in the 19th century. An image spotted in an online auction online of a 1940 Milton Bradley child's activity set consisting of wooden letters formed the basis for School Activities JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. Although the basic characters feature chamfered corners, the nature of bending the steel rule dies to form the letters to be cut from the wood provided rounded edges as well, creating their unique look.
