Mazaeni is a bold serif font family that includes 5 Weight regular to Extra Black which is inspired by something simple, elegant, usable, and versatile. One thing to note about Mazaeni is the letter spacing. Tshikona is casual and vigorous font with a taste of African spice. Although creating an impression of handwritten informality, Tshikona is a carefully crafted font, making it easy to use in any display setting, either for headings or as an informal body font. The line of the letters is reminiscent of the angular, dry branches of trees in the African veldt.

Before 1959, in pre-Castro Havana, Cuba, the preeminent nightclub was the Tropicana. During the regime of Fulgencio Batista, Cuba was resplendent with nightclubs and gambling casinos catering to [mostly] the North American tourists; which brought it the title of the Monte Carlo of the Americas. Although Cuba (and the world as a whole) has changed vastly over the decades, the hand-lettered logo of the Tropicana Night Club has survived, and has been reproduced as a complete digital font called Tropicano JNL (a slight twist to the club's name). At first the font seems to be awkward, crude and amateurish, but in taking a second look, there's a playful charm to it. Additionally, this font can double as a "spooky" font for the Halloween season, monster parties and in other similar themes.

Bivona is a superific, energetic font! Its fun and playful and begs to be included in anything that requires a large amount of zazz. It contains a full Mac OS character set with Latin Support. I have a lot of options to choose from, and it's hard to decide. For example, if I use "Thin" for the body text, I might make the title slightly larger and use "ExLight," and for the headings, I could use "Regular" or something similar. I could also stick to one font weight, like "Light," and differentiate the text using various sizes. This font is designed for enjoying the process of "indecisiveness," so please feel free to wander and deliberate extensively.

strokeWeight is inspired by the aesthetics of computer vector graphics. strokeWeight is the name of a processing programming function to set the thickness of a stroke. The single bezier curve that describes a stem as a centerline with a particular stem thickness represents the basic idea of this typeface. Diaconia Old Style is a new rendition of my workhorse body copy font that I originally designed to use for the body copy of "Printing in a Digital World." I became increasingly upset with the lack of lowercase numbers and true small caps. Diaconia started life as a modification of one of the Dutch Bible fonts I traced. It has changed a lot since then (although I have a hard time telling how much because I have lost the original). The plain and italic work especially well when used in very large sizes as display faces. The other four variants (small caps, heavy, heavy italic, and black) are designed for use in book production. Because I format all my own books, I was able to design fonts that met my needs exactly: lowercase numbers, SMALL CAPS font, Mac Command, Option, and Control symbols, ballot box in the section slot, and several other special characters. DiaconiaPro is the OpenType family of my body copy workhorse. This is the first font family I ever created: classic, elegant, easy to read. 583 characters: small caps, oldstyle figures, numerators, denominators, lining figures, accents and a lot more.
