TA Regresso PRO graphic presentation at Behance TA Regresso PRO font is inspired by Didon and Bodoni fonts. A combination of a little Bodoni and a little Didon elements and a unique style and Text, Display, Subhead and about 80 styles, it is a font that gives the user a choice. TA Regresso font supports Greek, Hebrew, Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. After starting work on the font since February of last year, the font is ready today with constant revisions. Being open to learning, I sought help from experienced designers. I must mention that Yulia Gonina, the founder of Schrifteria Foundry, also helped me a lot to make Regresso good. With her knowledge and advice, the flaws in the font were eliminated. By the way, Viktor Baltus also helped me with his valuable advices. I did some research about the alphabets of the supported languages so that Regresso is good. I paid a lot of attention to the correct design of the letters. When did it start. One day I was designing some stuff for a fast food café. By style the Café was made as an old Soviet canteen. So I had to do a special accent on this in menu, advertising posters and other print products. I decided to do this by interesting old school font. There are many cool retro fonts on the Internet, but not one of them satisfied me on 100%. The next step was to look at the old posters and find some inspiration. So I found some cool pictures with exact letters that I needed, but there were no typefaces to buy so that I can print some text with this exact letters. That's why I decided to do such typeface for my own. You can use this typeface in the field of nutrition, and it also will suit for cinema posters.

I am a HUGE fan of Bernard Cornwell’s ‘The Saxon Stories’. Ever since a television series has been made, the series of books is also know as ‘The Last Kingdom’. I have read them all, at break-neck speed and I can’t wait for the next book!! Wintanceastre (Winchester) is based on a 10th century Latin manuscript. I have tried to stay close to the original letters, but since Latin does not have all modern glyphs, I found myself designing the missing ones. So, before you scold me for having made a font that is historically inaccurate: it was never meant to be an exact replica, nor would anyone want an exact replica, as it would be useless for modern texts and designs. Wintanceastre comes with a whole bunch of ligatures and alternate glyphs. Use it for any design that needs a little ‘Dark Ages’ look!
