This font contains every variant found in the Hebrew Bible such as the “mutilated” Waw in Numbers 25: verse 12, the small Heh in Genesis 2: verse 4 and the Nun Inversum before Numbers 10: verse 35 and after verse 36 and elsewhere as well as certain oversized consonants such as the Shin with hireq from the beginning of the Song of Songs.

Eckhardt Showcard JNL and Eckhardt Showcard Two JNL are drawn from more lettering found in an old sign painting book. Jeff Levine has continued naming a series of fonts for the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr. (1929-2005) who had owned Allied Signs in Miami, Florida from 1959 until his passing. Al was a talented lettering artist and a good friend to Jeff.

ITC Kokoa is the work of German graphic designer Jochen Schuss. Schuss found the seeds of inspiration on a trip to Ghana and expanded and experimented with the idea on the computer. It includes an array of symbols and borders to complement its stylized letters. ITC Kokoa retains a touch of its African roots but is overall a modern, funky font.

Town and Country JNL features a mix of block-style characters along with rounded ones found so often in the Art Deco fonts of the 1940s. Modeled from the hand-lettered title on a piece of sheet music from that era, this unusual coupling of two distinct design styles works despite it breaking all of the obvious rules of typography.

Each font from the TT Ricordi family was drawn by a separate designer and has its own story. With that, all three fonts are close in thickness and similar in their character compositions and are featured in the uppercase set and the small capitals set, which replaces lowercase characters. The fonts have the broad support of Latin languages and support basic Cyrillic. The project originates from the pre-coronavirus tourist trips to Italy, during which our art director Yulia Gonina has accumulated many photographs of historical inscriptions and tablets. Many of these inscriptions had interesting character or unusual character shapes. We wanted to work with them, to try to reinterpret them, and, if possible, make them ultramodern and accessible to the modern font user. The fonts from the TT Ricordi typeface turned out to be quite display and contemporary, but at the same time, they retained subtle references to historic inscriptions. The fonts fit perfectly both on the covers of book classics and in glossy magazine layouts. They can also be used in posters and packaging, or as the main expressive element of company branding. In addition, all three serifs from the TT Ricordi font family go well with functional sans-serifs such as TT Norms Pro or TT Commons. TT Ricordi Nobili is a display serif with a rich Roman ancestry and contemporary world views. It stands out from the crowd with its subtlety and elegance. The font was drawn by Anna Tikhonova and was inspired by an inscription carved into the stone floor of a cathedral in Florence. Because people walked over the inscription, some of the letters got thinner and worn out over time. It is this feeling of disappearing or flickering elements that we wanted to capture and implement in the project. The TT Ricordi Nobili has high contrast, even though the font itself is quite thin. The serifs in the font are not massive at all, but at the same time, they are display serifs. There is a certain tension in TT Ricordi Nobili, and the viewer perceives this tension. We can say that behind the external classic facade lies a rather modern plot. The font has a large set of discrete ligatures which allow to create interesting combinations and expand the capabilities of the font. There are 709 glyphs in the TT Ricordi Nobili font, and a whole set of useful features, such as: aalt, ccmp, locl, numr, ordn, tnum, pnum, case, dlig, ss01, ss02, ss06, ss07, ss08, ss09, ss10, calt. TT Ricordi Todi is a wide serif with a classic base and a contemporary nature. The font turned out to be refined yet sharp, and in places even pushy and aggressive. The font was drawn by Yulia Gonina, and the project was based on plaques with engraved street names from the small Italian town of Todi. The main challenge was to decipher the characteristic features of the signs and emphasize them in a modern way. In addition, it was necessary to draw a Cyrillic alphabet that would not be inferior to the Latin alphabet in its expressiveness. The TT Ricordi Todi has fairly wide character proportions, and there is practically no contrast in them. The main feature of the font is the combination of smooth round shapes with deliberately squared shapes. In addition, the font is characterized by crisp and sharp character details, exaggerated ascenders and descenders, and muted contrast. Among the interesting font peculiarities, you can choose between the characteristic long descenders and ascenders and their more tempered versions, you can find a stylistic set with triangular dots, alternative versions of the EF characters and two letter ? shapes, round and squared. TT Ricordi Fulmini is a fashionable contemporary serif firmly holding on to its historic roots. The font turned out to be like a thistle flower: bright and catchy, but still subtle and delicate. TT Ricordi Fulmini was drawn by Marina Khodak, and the initial inspiration for the project was the inscription on the altar from the National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia. As the font was pulled into “contemporaneity”, it was completely transformed and revealed its new side. The main catchy detail in the TT Ricordi Fulmini is the aggressive and rather sharp diagonal serifs. In addition, in the process of working on the font, several graphic solutions emerged, for example, the mono-serifs and the very calligraphic connections of diagonal strokes with their historic spirit. We wanted to keep them, and thus 4 thematic stylistic sets appeared in the font, thanks to which we can greatly change the perception of TT Ricordi Fulmini. In addition, the font has a set of interesting discrete ligatures. Sometimes it's easy to find a name to fit a font design, other times it's a struggle because of the sheer number of digital fonts available and the number of names already taken. Classification JNL stretches a point to arrive at its name. The attractive sans design was found as a hand-lettered title on a piece of vintage sheet music called "My Hawaiian Souvenirs". During the 1940s, the popular mode of travel to other countries was by steamship. Steamship passengers were assigned their accommodations by the type of passage they booked (such as First Class and Tourist), thus they were in various levels of classification. This aside, Classification JNL is a nice alternative to "standard" condensed fonts for design projects.

Leipziger Ornamente is another font inspired by the architecture of my home city. I draw inspiration from various buildings of the 1920s to the 1950s. The majority of motives in this font is adapted from sgraffitto ornaments found on residental buildings in the northern borough of Gohlis. The Leipsic Ornaments offer a delicate range of both floral and geometric embellishment pieces, to create fresh and lively designs from. You can use this font for smart and cool borders, frames and textures as well as for sparkling headpieces or vibrant eye-catchers in magazines, brochures, leaflets or personal stationary. A new font inspired by vintage hand-painted paper signs. The Doorbuster Collection is based on retro hand-painted paper signs primarily seen in grocery stores from the 1920s through the 1970s. We meticulously hand-drew each font, modeling the spacing and uneven baseline found in vintage sign painting. The purposely organic ascenders and descenders, along with a huge set of ligatures/contextual alternates to avoid the same letters repeating when paired, give it a real hand-lettered look. Doorbuster Plug is perfect for both vintage-inspired and contemporary marketing, branding, and packaging designs. It's a classic workhorse font from the 1950s thru 1970s. Think of Garamouche as Garamond's drunken cousin. This font replicates a long lost document ravaged by time and the elements (with a little sloppy printing for good measure.) Unlike the fake bolding option found in software programs, Garamouche Bold is a variant with more appropriate thick and thin features. The "dancing along the baseline" that has made Garamouche a favorite, is also a feature in Garamouche Bold, but the letters align and tilt in on their own terms. Some time ago, my son asked me to name all Seven Seas. I had to think for a bit, because I can think of more than 7 seas (the North Sea, the Caspian Sea, the South China Sea, the Sea Of Okhotsk, etc.), but apparently these are not part of the BIG Seven. It turns out that even oceans count as ‘seas’. Long story short, I created a font, had to think of my son’s question and named the font Seven Seas. Seven Seas is a hand made serif that comes with swashed alternatives for a lot of glyphs.

The source of inspiration for Haute Monde Monogram is the 1934 "Book of American Types" by American Type Founders. Found in that specimen book was a wonderfully elegant traditional smallcap-Capital-smallcap monogram alphabet known as “Elite Monogram Initials”. When drawing a new font, there is a time when the final form is found – almost – but the curves are not slick and clean yet, that's what I call the "raw" form. Raw – no sweeteners added! In this family I redefined this moment in type development for the eternally beautiful "Franklin Gothic". I call the design "Franklin Gothic Raw". This packet is the semi-serif addition. There never was a Franklin-Gothic with serifs but actually the font lends itself perfectly to a slab-serif. I started with adding a half serif and eventually add a full slab-serif later on.

Hammer & Tongs works great for all kinds of branding projects, advertising, websites, packaging, and posters – essentially anywhere you need bold, strong communication. Inspired by the lettering found on military vehicles, this font works great for headlines and is effective for short blocks of body copy. H&T also has a strong retro industrial/athletic vibe and works well for modern-vintage style designs. One of the most enduring type styles of the Art Deco era is Huxley Vertical. Its clean lines and stylish appeal have transcended changing times and tastes. Many typefaces have been inspired by the original, including the model used to create this font. The design was found in the book "Lettering and Alphabets", first published in 1946 by J. Albert Cavanagh. By re-drawing it from scratch, the missing numerals, punctuation, special characters and accents were added. Hagemann JNL and its oblique version are named in honor of one of Jeff Levine's friends within the type design community -- Michael Hagemann of Font Mesa.

Glancias Display is a contemporary typeface for article headings. In order to create a style that merges serif and sans serif and to attemp a minimalistic final appearance, Glancias Displas removed the serifs while remaining the high-contrast strokes which are usually found in a serif font. By removing serifs and cutting stroke ends vertically and horizontally, the font has been built in a modern, sleek, neutral and also concise look. Over 400 glyphs in total including upper and lowercase characters, figures, ligatures and signs are available. Glancias Display covers Latin based languages of North and South America and most of Western Europe.

I remember that my auntie once made a dish called ‘Macaroni and Smac’. It consisted of little ‘elbow’ macaroni, Spam (which in Holland was called Smac), cheese and ketchup. I am sure it didn’t contain on of your five a day, but it was delicious. As far as I know, I have eaten it only once, but it did make a lasting impression! Biscuits & Spam is a handmade ‘Western’ style font, which I found in my ‘unfinished fonts’ folder. It comes with multilingual support, a full set of alternates for the lower case letters and a really happy vibe.

Lavenda font is a result of my two year classic calligraphy studies, and is based on my own handwriting. The overall look is classic, which makes it a match for invitations, place cards or other paper goods where old time elegance is required. With the glyph count just under 1500 the font has many alternates and options which makes it flexible to use. Apart from swashes, alternates and ligatures - number of fancy dingbats is also included. Again, with vast number of glyphs contained should you write in other language than English - Lavenda comes as a natural choice.

I have no great love for walls, especially when they are built to keep people out. When I started working on this font, I realized it looked a bit like protest graffiti, found on… yes, walls. Down The Wall is a great little font: it is handwritten, messy and in your face. It has no real baseline and glyphs jump all over the place. Use it for book covers, posters, album covers - anything really. It certainly would look good on a wall too! Comes with a whole bunch of diacritics, so whatever you have to say, the world will understand.

When I was surfing the internet, with rock n 'roll music. I accidentally found a picture of a hotel sign with a very unique style, namely: Mid-century Modern (MCM). It looks very pretty and charming to me. And inspired me to create Font Family. And I am proud to present the Vallery Hills Font Family. This font is in the Retro style of the 50s to 60s. Okay, here are the specifications. 1. Vallery Hills Schrift There is one unique thing about this font. Usually, script fonts with Retro style always have an angled anatomical shape, but I made this font upright. The goal is to make a difference with other script fonts I've seen. By the way, this font comes in two styles, namely: Regular and Bouncy. Why do I make it like that? Because I want to make this font into two different functions, namely: If you want to make it a Display Font, which is usually used for Headings, then use the Bouncy style. And if you want to use it as Bodytext, then use Regular. 2. Vallery Hills Sherift This second font is a font that is very synonymous with the Mid-century Modern (MCM) era. A very distinctive form of the serif font of that era. Similar to the first font, this font also has 2 styles, namely: Regular and Bouncy. You can combine this font with the other two fonts in Vallery Hills. It could be Title, or Bodytext. And you can also combine two styles, namely: Regular and Bouncy. Try! 3. Vallery Hills Suns Sherift This last font is Sans Serif. Also has 2 styles like his two brothers, namely: Regular and Bouncy. The goal is actually the same. I am sure you are cooler to create a design that uses this font family. Well, there is one advantage of this font from its two siblings, which is that it has a feature, namely: SMALLCAPS. Which will be an option when you are bored with the mediocre shape or style of Lowercase. Try combining the Smallcaps with Uppercase or Lowercase. Must be cool! : D Oops, almost forgot. Shop signs, posters, and book design—this is where we drew the inspiration for our project. TT Backwards consists of two complementary font subfamilies, a Script and a Grotesque, each of them includes 5 typefaces in 5 different weights (Thin, Light, Regular, Bold, Black). TT Backwards Script is a noncontrast almost monolinear solid script inspired by shop signs, poster and book design of the USSR. TT Backwards Script features a large number of Latin and Cyrillic ligatures (more than 70 items), which allows to make the script versatile and sophisticated to the max. And thanks to the implementation of a huge number of context alternates, all lowercase letters are joined softly and without breaks, and they meet the uppercase letters beautifully and correctly. TT Backwards Script supports the following OpenType features: liga, case, ordn, frac, sups, sinf, numr, dnom, tnum, onum, pnum. TT Backwards Sans is a narrow grotesque, which takes us back to the book design of late 70s and early 80s with its ductile characters. It is created considering its use in the small text size. TT Backwards Sans has a number of pronounced peculiarities: high x-height, exaggerated extenders, and big visual compensators and ink traps. Apart from the basic visual solution, TT Backwards Sans contains two experimental stylistic sets, which markedly change the overall visual perception of the text. SS01 alters high-frequency symbols of the Cyrillic alphabet, and SS02 significantly changes the high-frequency symbols of the Latin alphabet. The most important characteristic of this font is that it is really seamless. We've done the impossible: in TT Lovelies Script, even capital letters are connected to lower-case letters without any breaks. The base for our typeface is original calligraphy by Russian designer Alena Korobanova. The beautiful handwriting was painstakingly crafted into a fully functional font. TT Lovelies Script is a very lively and playful typeface with some unpredictable nuances. Turn on the use of OpenType features CALT & DLIG in your graphic editor and use the font to the full. Every lower-case letter has characteristic pen strokes which begin and end a word. The pen strokes are turned on automatically when you accordingly type two hyphens at the beginning and at the end of a word. For instance, type '- - apricot - -' and you'll see the beautiful pen strokes at the beginning and at the end of the word. TT Lovelies Script uses a great number of contextual alternates and ligatures which help maintain the handwritten impression. For each letter, a separate grapheme is created for the end of a line, and we've also integrated the Case Sensitive OpenType feature to make working with upper-case characters easier. A few years ago I've discovered the work of one of the most prolific typeface designers of the Bruce type Foundry in NYC during late nineteenth century. Browsing Julius Herriet's work I found a very unique kind of ligatures in his patented "Old Style Ornamented" type design. Some letters were designed with a little top tail that allowed them to connect to each other. After that, I found that he also designed a single italic weight of the same font 7 years later. Since the beginning of the Opentype days I’ve been deeply obsessed with exploring different ways to build ligatures, so that lead me up to this point where I felt the need to create “Plethora”, this new font inspired by Herriet’s work. Extrapolating weights, adding variable technology and playing with additional interconnected letters and alternates. Definitely, Plethora means a large or excessive amount of something, and this font tries to bring back this abundance of details two centuries later. Available in 9 weights, from roman to italic, and also as variable format, “Plethora” supports plenty of latin languages and is a perfect choice for today’s design tides.

Green Fairy’s characters have been specifically designed to accommodate its loops and ornaments following a modern typeface structure. Green Fairy has four chromatic weights: 1. Green Fairy Full Combo GREEN FAIRY ORIGINS The origin of this typeface is the lettering I designed in October 2015 as part of my illustrated cocktail artwork called “Absinthe. La Fée Verte (The Green Fairy)”. Originally, this lettering only featured eight letters “AB·SINTHE” vector drawn in Illustrator. Right after creating the full-colour artwork, I designed a fountain-letterpress print version of it, in collaboration with Ladies of Letters, A.K.A. Carla Hackett and Amy Constable from Saint Gertrude Fine Printing. At the beginning of 2016 –and thanks to the project @36daysoftype– I found the motivation, and most importantly the deadline, to draw the rest of the twenty-six letters of the uppercase alphabet using Illustrator. I started 2017 having my first two calligraphy courses sold out, so I took this amazing opportunity to devote myself to Green Fairy for a few months. In February 2017, I purchased the font software Glyphs and I started to re-draw all twenty-six letters of the uppercase alphabet again. PRODUCTION PROCESS Green Fairy started being one weight, but quickly turned into a layered/chromatic font. Things were going more or less fine till I arrived to the Dots weight: 1) I started drawing squares following a grid; 2) Then, the squares turned into diamonds following the same grid; 3) Then, the grid wasn’t working so well on the round letters so I tried randomising the position of the diamonds but it didn’t work; 4) So I went back to the grid, and this time scaled down the size of the diamonds creating a visual half-tone effect. I spent over four weeks working on the Dots weight and I felt like I was in the middle of a very long tunnel and I couldn’t see the light at the end. I encountered many other problems along the way but by June 2017, I felt I was back on track again. I kept working, tweaking, re-drawing and re-adjusting, and then the diacritics came on board… And then more re-drawing, re-tweaking, re-adjusting and then numbers… And then spacing, symbols, and currencies… And then more spacing, kerning, contextual kerning for triplets… In September 2017 I told myself “that’s it, I’m going to finish it now!” But guess what? More re-tweaking, testing, hinting, testing, rendering, testing… For those of you not familiarized with typeface design, it is extremely time consuming and it requires a lot of hard work, focus and determination. This project could not have been possible without the help of these generous professionals: Jose Manuel Urós, typeface designer based in Barcelona and my teacher twice in the past; Jamie Clarke, freelance letterer and typeface designer who has released a couple of chromatic fonts recently; Troy Leinster, Australian full-time typeface designer living and working in New York City; Noe Blanco, full-time typeface designer and hinting specialist based in Catalonia; And Nicole Phillips, typographer currently relocating from Australia to New Zealand. This old classic font has an interesting history, it was originally cut with lowercase by the Bruce Type Foundry in 1865 and listed as Ornamented No. 1514. Around 1903 the Bruce foundry was bought by ATF, in 1933 this font was revived by ATF as Caps only and was given the Gold Rush name but was sometimes called Klondike. A similar version of this font with lowercase and radiused serifs was produced by the James Conner's Sons Type Foundry around 1888. In the past other foundries such as the Carroll foundry, Type Founders of Phoenix and the Los Angeles Type Foundry have produced an all caps version of this font. After examining several printed sources of this font from more recent books I found that the original from Bruce's 1882 book was by far the best in design quality, it was also the only printed source that included the lowercase. New open faced, ornamented and distressed versions have been added to this old classic font, there are also many extended characters for Western, Central and Eastern European countries. The Gold Rush Trail OpenType version has alternate double letter pairs included in the font and will automatically be substituted when used in Adobe CS products or other software that takes advantage of OpenType features. Also available is a spurred version of this font listed under the name Gold Spur.

The idea of symmetry came to me when I was lookig for a geometric sans font. None of the things that I found did have the mathematically perfect symmetry. So, I went ahead and created one. I have used complex mathematical equations to get the perfect angle in every letter. Diameter comes with two styles square corner and rounded corner, each with regular and bold weights.
