Glass Light was designed in 1912 by Franz Paul Glass for the Genzsch & Heyse foundry. The font is stylewise related to the "Lo types" of the same period. Glass designed a lot of decorative elements to go along with the font. I added Swashes, endletters and smallcaps to the set to make it complete. Since this type of font will probably not be used by many professionals, I did not put all the letters into one big OTF-version since most people don't have OTF-savy software. This family was inspired by the two fonts used by the famous William Caxton in Westminster (UK) in the late 1400s. There is only one (Normal) style. We have added the accented characters and others not in use in the early time of printing, but the ligatures and the few abbreviations for the Old English language and Latin were present in the original fonts. The original cap height is about five to seven millimeters. Decorated letters like 1495 Lombardes, 1512 Initials, 1550 Arabesques, 1565 Venetian, and 1584 Rinceau can be used in complement with this font without anachronism.

The 1934 French publication L'Art du Tracé Rationnel de la Lettre is a vintage guide book on lettering chock full of interesting alphabets that have been an ongoing source of digital type revivals from the designs found within its pages. Monthly Statement JNL is a squared slab serif design with some Art Deco flair; available in both regular and oblique versions. This style of type evokes images of billheads, bank statements and other important documents of the era.

The font Wappenstein was inspired by the carving on a memorial stone located in Paderborn, Germany. The stone was an Epitaph of the Brenkener family, and the carver is known as the “Meister des Brenkener Familienepitaphs”. The carving, dating to 1562, currently is curated by the Erzbischöfliches Diözesanmuseum in the city of Paderborn and was originally in the Brenkener Pfarr Kirche. A Wappenstein is a stone that contains a carving of the heraldic achievement of a person.
