Film-P2 is an Ultra Condensed sans serif display typeface designed by Bartosz Panek. It is the follower of the geometric 'Film Poster' (https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fontsphere/film-poster/) which was inspired by futuristic movie posters. In Film-P2, the letter design is more neutral, the font is more versatile, but no less expressive, which was one of the assumptions of the project. This allows many different application possibilities. In titles, headings, longer text compositions, bold and custom juxtapositions, and in many different formats. The differences in the width of the letters in the narrow, regular, wide versions are not significant, they are fairly balanced, but they give a lot of variation depending on the method of application and design characteristics, e.g. text size, background type, etc. The entire Film-P2 family offers many creative possibilities in graphic design, branding, printing and website design. The font SweynheymPannartz is strongly modeled after an example Conrad Sweynheym and Arnold Pannartz used in their early printing venture in Subiaco, Italy which began around 1465. Their efforts were supported by Pope Sixtus the IV after they enthusiastically printed more books than they could sell. They not only brought printing to Italy, but also developed the first Roman style type. Morris Fuller Benton designed the serifed Clearface typeface for ATF in 1907. He liked the design so much that he also created a flare-serif variation, Clearface Gothic, soon after. I had a totally different name assigned to this font at first. Then, while drifting off to sleep one night during the creation process, my sleepy brain said, "You know, BLORP would be a great name to go with these letter shapes." KD Hachure is a display, geometric font with layering possibilities. Combine the two layers to achieve different color combinations or use them separately to achieve a completely different look. Kerning is optimized so that all latin letters are connected. With the default leading 120%, descenders connect with the top of accents. Set the leading to 100% manually if you want to connect descenders with the top of uppercase or ascender letters.

Squeezing yet more life out of the Revla skeleton! This is Revla Round, a child-friendly version of Revla Sans, completely overhauled so there's no chance of cutting yourself on any corners. Every rounded terminal and corner has been painstakingly drawn, rather than using a round-corners filter. Eyebel was an attempt to form letters as simply as possible using only straight lines but still have them legible. The family is low contrast and has a boxy look. Eyebel-Ruff was formed by randomly moving control points. None of these faces have any curves.

What does a 1932 movie about a love affair between a circus' trapeze artist and a sideshow "little person" have to do with the 1960s counter-culture? They both share some commonalities. The title card for Tod Browning's "Freaks" inspired the lettering design for Hippie Freak JNL. It's in a retro style that was embraced by the youth movement that had its epicenter in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco. Circus performers with birth defect abnormalities were displayed in what was referred to as "freak shows"; while young men with long hair and beards who sought peace, love and an end to the war in Vietnam were commonly referred to as "hippie freaks". As the saying goes "the more things change, the more they stay the same".

This typeface comes from a self initiated project called Sápmi, which aims to contribute to keep a group of minority languages alive through solving issues in the education environment. This re-thought edition takes the name of Aanaar and joins our library with a bigger character set and two new weights which complete the typeface providing a big typographic palette as well as adding stylistic two-story a and g for more advanced readers as well as to enable the typeface to be used in other environments. The typeface was originally designed for children’s text books. Analysing kid’s typeface design, we identified some important problems and solved them within the boundaries we had. The main concern in a typeface which will be used by children is letter recognition, as they have not yet fully develop their reading skills. For example, letters like “a” and “g” share a very similar structure in this particular kind of typefaces, where the only distinctive part is the descender of the “g”. It is known that the lower part of the letter is the less important feature when reading, therefore we decided to make a clear distinction between them by having an “a” with a spur on the top right. This also helped distinguishing “a” and “o”. Children typefaces usually have one story “a”, making “a” usually too close to “o”. Additionally we moved the joint in “a” upwards and narrowed very slightly the “a” to make sure they cannot be mistaken. More generally, the x-height is fairly tall and the typeface has a bit of movement which give it a good rhythm helping moving along nicely when reading. Aanaar consists of 5 weights (Light, Regular, Medium, Bold and Black) plus two Italics (Light Italic and Italic).
