Flight is the work of British calligraphic artist Timothy Donaldson, whose specialty is the experimentation with different design tools. REALLY fat faces seem to be popular these days, so here's my take on one. The strokes have been expanded to the brink of illegibility, but the letters remain distinguishable, especially in context. Alf Becker was a talented sign writer and a prolific contributor of unique alphabets to Signs of the Times magazine. Aeris™ typeface is a contemporary book face created by the American designer Tom Grace. It combines the proportions and rhythm of a sans serif font with the high contrasts and flexed strokes of script faces, while the open counters also ensure optimal legibility.
