Gridlock tries it's best to fit as much info as possible in a small space neatly in line and with the subtle curves and smoothness of bent steel. The inspiration for Gridlock actually came accidentally after designing some lettering for a self-promo project and it needed something that just was condensed with visual appear. So imagining about how condensed fonts feel, I imagined them being squished together just like cars in traffic are forced to work together to make it to their end destination.

Modica is a strong and agile Geometric Sans type family comprising 18 fonts. This typeface began life as “Meccanica” – a quirky, heavy, engineering typeface, that later evolved into the more conservative “Technica” type family. The inspiration source for MFC Spindler Borders is a collection of border treatments revived from the “Catalog 25 TYPE FACES” by Barnhart Brothers & Spindler. The border designs were recreated from two different border sets, “Classic Art Borders” and “Classic Black & White Borders”. Inspired in the world of the fast-food, my aim with Burger was to achieve a sexy slab serif font. Since it's not very common to see slabs with swashes I consider this project as an experiment with interesting results. In order to mantain an even weight on the written word, all the glyphs including the swashy ones had to look like compact blocks: This makes the font work much better used with almost no leading, as seen in posters above. Despite the formal look of its genre, this slab serif is also very playful and unique. (Maybe unhealthy food deserves better fonts already, right?) Taste Burger, come on, give it a try! On a more personal note: Why I made this font? Some months ago I started the gym and with it, an strict diet to see some results faster... Maybe my temptation is being, in Lacanian terms, "sublimated" by making delicious and unhealthy fonts.

Apparently, Lexicon is the most expensive font in the world. ‘Skiart Lexiconic’ has been on a long growing path getting to where it is now. This font family was originally inspired by the san serif font ‘Skia’, by Mathew Carter for Apple. ‘Skiart’ was designed to feel more like a serifed font, but without any actual serifs. It took a small step between sans serif and serif fonts. Next on the path towards a serif font came Skiart Serif Mini, with tiny serifs added. This was a true serif font, although they were subtle. Then came ‘Skiart Serif Leaf’. and now... We present to you... DT Skiart Lexiconic. Having evolved from the Skiart family, we chose to give it the serifed styling of Lexicon.
