Based loosely on Clarendon, Turpentine Kisses breaks all the rules of the classic serif fonts. It's jumpy and bouncy with a clear handmade look. It's playful yet legible, and full of personality. Bloody Nose, from Mabry Creative, is an original decorative font with embedded OpenType features. Consisting of hand-scrawled characters, the font is set in all caps and features ninety-eight glyphs with six alternate versions of each. The alternates automatically and randomly cycle through for a more authentic handwritten effect. Bloody Nose was created using an eyedropper to apply red ink to Bristol board. The natural running and pooling of the ink as it absorbed into the board inspired the font’s title.

Mainsail is a handwritten brush script font. It is casually written with dry brush pen, so it has this nice texture and flow. Mainsail has lots of alternates to make it look more like real handwriting; four sets of lower cases and two sets of upper cases. Mainsail is great option for logos, headlines and packaging. Now here's a font that won't spoil anything! It's my ALL CAPS brush font with slightly uneven and quirky lines. Just enough to make font look lively and fresh, but not overdoing it. Reliable was drawn with a somewhat dry brush, and then carefully made into a font. Many times, when a new creative process is starting, it is triggered by an everyday action or item. In this case, the looks of a lady’s watch inspired Michael Herold to create his new typeface LUX. The sight of the chronograph sparked associations of the 1950s in Mr. Herold: While this decade was predominantly dominated by brush and feather scripts, there was also a bloom of strict and modern architecture. This special mix of strength and retro style is exactly what Michael Herold is trying to capture in his LUX. The result is a typeface which is perfectly suitable for use on book covers, posters and claims – thanks to its striking impression. The name LUX, Latin for light, is inspired by the high bright-dark contrast within the individual characters. A Donkeyman is a person who is in charge of a ship’s engine room. I didn’t know this, but when I was looking for a nice name for this font, I sort of stumbled upon it. Donkeyman font is quite a useful font: it is a handmade, all-caps font that comes with two sets of alternate glyphs. The alternates cycle as you type, creating a ‘random’ effect.
