  1. Prismatic Spirals Pro by MMC-TypEngine, $182.00
PRISMATIC SPIRALS PRO FONT! The Prismatic Spirals PRO is a Decorative Type-System and ‘Assembling Game’, itself. Settled in squared pieces modules or tiles, embedded by unprecedented Intertwined Prismatic Structures Design, or intricate interlaced bars that may seem quite “impossible” to shape. Although it originated from the ‘Penrose Square’, it may not look totally as an Impossible Figures Type of Optical Illusions. More an “improbable” Effect in its intertwined Design, that even static can seem like a source of Kinetical Sculptures, or drive eyes into a kind of hypnosis. Prismatic Spirals Pro has two related Typefaces both more basic or easier to use versions, the Default Family plus its “bold” braided version Prismatic Interlaces… PRO provides a more advanced, complex, and twisted Design, plus requires to be typed alternating caps. Instructions: Use the Map Font Reference PDF as a guide to learn the 'tiles' position on the keyboard, then easily type and compose puzzle designs with this font! All alphanumeric keys are intuitive or easy to induce, you may easily memorize it all! Plus, often also need to consult it! *Find the Prismatic Spirals Pro Font Map Reference PDF Here! (!) Is recommended Print it to have the Reference or open the PDF to also copy and paste, when consulting is required or when it may be difficult to access, depending on the keyboard script or language. The 2 glyphs sets are separated in colors for facilitating. Also use the Map Font with key captions or switch to it for ensure that the characters are alternating between both uppercase and lowercase letters as other Keys as numbers, marks, and punctuation along the strings, holding Shift one by one or actually two by two. As a Tiles Type-System, the line gap space value is 0, this means that tiles line gaps are invisibly grouted, so the user can compose designs, row by row, descending to each following row by clicking Enter, same as line break, while advances on assembling characters. Background History: The first sketches of my Prismatic Knots or Spirals Designs dates back then from 2010, while started developing hand-drawn Celtic Knots and Geometric Drawings in grid paper, while engage to Typography, Sacred Geometry and the “Impossible Figures” genre… I started doing modulation tests from 2013, until around 2018, I got to unravel it in square modules or tiles from the grid, then idealized it as fonts, along with other Type projects. This took 13 years to come out since the first sketches and 6 months in edition. During the production process some additional tiles or missing pieces were thought of and added to the basic set, which firstly had only the borders, corners, crossings, nets, Trivets connectors or T parts and ends, then added with nets and borders integrations. Usage Suggestions: This type-system enables the user to ornate and generate endless decorative patterns, borders, labyrinthine designs, Mosaics, motifs, etc. It can seem just like a puzzle, but a much greater tool instead for higher purposes as to compose Enigmas and use seriously. As like also to write Real Text by assembling the key characters or pieces, this way you can literarily reproduce any Pixel Design or font to its Prismatic Spirals correspondent form, as Kufic Arabic script and further languages and compose messages easily… This Typeface was made to be contemplated, applied, and manufactured on Infinite Decorative Designs as Pavements, Tapestry, Frames, Prints, Fabrics, Bookplates, Coloring Books, Cards, covers or architectonic frontispieces, storefronts, and Jewelry, for example. Usage Tips: Notice that the line-height must be fixed to 100% or 1,0. In some cases, as on Microsoft Word for example, the line-height default is set to 1,15. So you’ll need to change to 1,0 plus remove space after paragraph, in the same dropdown menu on Paragraph section. Considering Word files too, since the text used for mapping the Designs, won't make any literal orthographical sense, the user must select to ignore the Spellcheck underlined in red, by clicking over each misspelled error or in revision, so it can be better appreciated. Also unfolding environments as Adobe Software’s, the Designer will use the character menu to set body size and line gap to same value, as a calculator to fit a layout for example of 1,000 pts high with 9 tiles high, both body size and line gap will be 111.1111 pts. Further Tips: Whenever an architect picks this decorative system to design pavements floor or walls, a printed instruction version of the layout using the ‘map’ font may be helpful and required to the masons that will lay the tiles, to place the pieces and its directions in the right way. Regarding to export PNGs images in Software’s for layered Typesetting as Adobe Illustrator a final procedure may be required, once the designs are done and can be backup it, expanding and applying merge filter, will remove a few possible line glitches and be perfected. Technical Specifications: With 8 styles and 4 subfamilies with 2 complementary weights each (Regular and Bold) therefore, Original Contour, Filled, Decor, with reticle’s decorations and 2 Map fonts with key captions. *All fonts match perfectly when central pasted for layered typesetting. All fonts have 106 glyphs, in which 96 are different keys with 2 versions of each of both caps and shift keys, plus a few repeated for facilitating. It was settled this way in order for exchanging with its Prismatic relative fonts which has only 48 different keys repeated twice. Concerning tiles manufacturing and Printed Products as stickers or Stencils, any of its repeated pieces was measured and just rotated in different directions in each key, so when sided by other pieces in any direction will fit perfectly without mispatching errors. 2. Bayer Sans by Victory Type, $20.00
Bayer Sans, is based on the typography of the Austrian-born artist Herbert Bayer. Bayer worked as a teacher and graphic designer at the Bauhaus, a revolutionary German art school, during the 20's. His specialty was commercial art and he had many "radical" views on typography and its interaction with society. Bayer felt that written language should be merely a graphic version of spoken language. Thus, he advocated a single alphabet without majuscules and miniscules. Bayer's designs are simple, geometric letterforms that lend themselves to lowercase form. This font, based on the typography of Bayer and his students at the Bauhaus Werkstatt (studio), was digitally modeled by Noah Rothschild. Bayer Sans features a complete character set including European characters, alternate letters with adjusted widths and designs and ligatures. Included are the "f" characters and a special linked double-o.
  3. Andorra Script by Hanoded, $15.00
Andorra Script is a hand written font - it is very legible, quite elegant (in an informal way) and useful. Andorra Script comes with all diacritics.
  4. Adage Script JF by Jukebox Collection, $32.99
A warm script font with a down-home feel. Digitally revived from a vintage photo-typesetting face. The character set has been expanded and modernized.
  5. Lettering Pen JNL by Jeff Levine, $29.00
The rounded hand lettering for the circa-1920s sheet music title "I'm On My Way Back Home" inspired the font design for Lettering Pen JNL.
  6. DT Meman by DT Foundry, $25.00
Meman is a practical sans serif that was enthusiastic about adding details to have more personality compared to a neo-grotesque typeface. The typeface was crafted between the concepts of mechanical oval forms and serpentine curves, with the help from open terminals, contrast joints. These 2 concepts are very different, but they balanced each other to help remain the neutral feeling as a whole. Many details are optimized so that on small scales, Meman has nothing special. But when use on bigger scales, letters are revealed to have been dived in visual flourishes, such as the "e". Also, to avoid broken fragments and remain neutral, some details were converted to alternatives. Meman has 9 upright weights (from Thin to Black), and some OpenType features like fractions, ligatures, custom decorative icons, and alternatives for "A", "E", "V", "Z", ... or "a". There are more than 660 glyphs, which support a wide range of Latin languages, including Vietnamese. For usability, the typeface was balanced and versatile, it can be pinned up as a headline or logo, and can still blend in a small paragraph.
  7. Menhart by Monotype, $29.99
Czech designer Oldrich Menhart (1897-1962) devoted his life to making letters. He was a calligrapher, lettering artist, and typeface designer with over twenty faces to his credit. The Monotype typeface, Menhart, was the second of his designs. Menhart began work on the design in the early 1930s and turned over his final artwork to the Monotype Drawing Office in 1934. The first size cut was 14 Didot (Didot points are the traditional European system of type measure, and are roughly equivalent to the point system commonly used by today's digital fonts). The 14D font was followed by 18D and 24D, indicating that the design was considered most suitable for display work. However, a 10D size was later cut from the same master drawings at the request of a Monotype customer. Menhart's design was light and open, with an even color and a slight squareness" to its round shapes. Because the Czech alphabet has 15 accented letters, Menhart included these diacritics as an integral part of his design, not as an afterthought. As a result, accented copy set in Menhart has a cohesive quality rarely seen in other typefaces. Monotype's new digital release of Menhart is the first revival since the hot metal fonts were cut. Menhart Display is based on the original Monotype drawings, while a slightly heavier, re-spaced version has been created for text sizes. Both versions offer the full capabilities of the OpenType format, such as the automatic insertion of old style figures, ligatures and small caps. In addition to English, the extended character set supports most Central European and many Eastern European languages. One of Menhart's lifelong goals was to share the richness of his Czech culture by drawing typefaces that uniquely served Czechoslovakia literature. In his words: "I believe that a Czech style of type comes above all from the spirit in which it was designed, which gives it its 'signature,' and not so much from decorative composition, and even less from the geographic location of its creation." The typeface Menhart is a tribute to his values. Now, Menhart Pro and Menhart Display Pro capture the unique personality of this timeless design while greatly extending its range of use. "
  8. Passport48 by Coniglio Type, $19.95
Passport48 exclusively in otf. opentype format, originally debuted in 1997 as Passport, close to the beginning of the indie typographer boom. Almost 25 years have passed since it was introduced at MyFonts as PS1 and later in 2003 in TT TrueType.** It was designed by Joseph Coniglio of Coniglio Type as a revival. Historically, Passport was digitized from a shiny black enamel 1948 Royal Silent Deluxe portable. Kept on the ship of merchant marine, Captain John O’Learn, it was a salty manual typewriter with no intrinsic value as a collectable, even though it is awash as a work horse and a fine communicator of it’s time.. **NOTE: Little Passport family leaves the nest: The old weight variations, styles and formats have been eliminated to allow the original face to be stand alone, on its own attributes. For those purchasing their first typewriter fonts and to our diehard collectors as well, Passport presents a friendly new port-of-entry. A simple set, that is freed of many of the normal distressed points and paths that had made most “typewriters” authentic looking, but difficult to print and manipulate in layouts back in the day. It’s smooth nature comes from its impressions struck directly onto a piece of carbon paper bypassing the silk ink ribbon and going directly from metal to carbon paper transferring to a piece paper with very little tooth. Examine the glyphs to be certain you have what you need from this minimalist set, Passport48 is intended for ease of use and affordability. This is a warm font in a cold cruel world and a real port in the storm! It is versatile in today’s layouts with 24 years of worldwide sales. …Please enjoy the fruits of its travels, hoping your destinations and explorations into graphic design and letter composition are happy ones. -Joe Coniglio, the Pacific Northwest (2021).
  9. Acton by Device, $29.00
Acton is a deceptively simple, grid-based design. Though derived from a 2 by 3 arrangement of blocks, it uses white spaces to allow for more complex shapes – for example as the R – where the underlying 3 by 5 arrangement is apparent. It also departs from this strict grid-based logic for characters such as the the T, L, f and r, whose cross-bars are shorter than they would otherwise be in order to promote optical evenness. No elegant solution could be found for the V, which in geometric fonts can appear very similar to the U, lacking as it does the cross-bar that can differentiate a square A from the capital form of the n. However, the resultant diagonal retroactively proved useful on the lower-case e and a, characters that otherwise would have more uninteresting design solutions.
  10. Bell Gothic by Linotype, $40.99
C.H. Griffith was commissioned by the American telephone company, Bell, to design a typeface which would be particularly suited to small, compressed sentences and inferior paper quality. The font was intended for use in the company’s telephone books. Griffith had already had experience with the conception of newsprint fonts and was interested in legibility issues. In 1922 Griffith created the Legibility Group, which contained particularly legible fonts predestined for newspapers. Bell Gothic has all the typical characteristics which optimize a font’s legibility. The modern heir of Bell Gothic is Bell Centennial, designed by Matthew Carter in 1974 in celebration of the Bell Company’s 100th birthday.
  11. Obschepit by Zaporozhan Dmitriy, $15.00
When did it start. One day I was designing some stuff for a fast food café. By style the Café was made as an old Soviet canteen. So I had to do a special accent on this in menu, advertising posters and other print products. I decided to do this by interesting old school font. There are many cool retro fonts on the Internet, but not one of them satisfied me on 100%. The next step was to look at the old posters and find some inspiration. So I found some cool pictures with exact letters that I needed, but there were no typefaces to buy so that I can print some text with this exact letters. That's why I decided to do such typeface for my own. You can use this typeface in the field of nutrition, and it also will suit for cinema posters.
  12. Kontrast Grotesk by DizajnDesign, $55.00
Kontrast Grotesk represents a contrast in type design based on a different principle. It was inspired by W. A. Dwiggins and his experiments with the stroke variations. Contrast in this typeface is created not only with the influence of the writing tool (the thickness of horizontal strokes in relation to vertical), but by setting the primary and secondary construction strokes of the characters (e.g. glyph “E”). The grotesque types are usually with no or minimal contrast. Having the contrast has created a new and original look of this typeface without compromising the legibility. The fonts are designed for fluent reading on the screen. A little wider proportions are specially welcome with no need for saving a space as it is in printed media. Kontrast Grotesk family consists of five weights, with italics, small caps and italic small caps. Fonts contains a range of opentype features.
  13. Linotype Maral Armenian by Linotype, $104.99
Linotype Maral is based on an historic Armenian typeface which was originally designed by Henrik Mnatsakanyan. Hrant Papazian has revieved and digitized this four weight type family . Armenian keyboard drivers for Mac OS 9 (and under) as well as for Windows are included when any of the Linotype Maral fonts are purchased. These drivers must be installed before the fonts may be used properly. Linotype Maral will not function properly under Mac OS X, unless you are using the OpenType-format version, which does not work under OS 9! The Linotype Maral family includes four fonts: Linotype Maral Regular, Linotype Maral Oblique, Linotype Maral Bold, Linotype Maral Bold Oblique. The Armenian language is written with its own script. This script and its language are written and spoken in the Republic of Armenia and by the Armenian Diaspora. The Armenian alphabet first appeared around 406 A.D. Its creation is attributed to St. Miesrop Mashtots (died 441), but it is most likely an independent modification and extension of the Greek alphabet created by Gregorian denomination.* * (Source: The book Schrift- und Buchkunst, by Albert Kapr [Leipzig: 1982], references Quadra della storia letteraria della Armenia by Ph. 14. MVB Solano Gothic by MVB, $39.00
MVB Solano Gothic Bold was originally designed as a display face for the City of Albany, California (located on the San Francisco Bay facing the Golden Gate Bridge and bordering Berkeley). Named for the City’s main street, the typeface needed to work on signage in proximity to early 20th Century buildings, and in contemporary settings. Rather than creating a neutered design to cover all bases, Mark van Bronkhorst chose to develop a simple, strong, condensed face that would offer flexibility of style by providing both retro and more contemporary forms. Solano Gothic has since been expanded to a family offering five weights from Light to Bold. The basic fonts provide upper- and lowercase forms, with figures designed to harmonize within upper- and lowercase settings (the standard figures are not full cap height). The same figures are provided with Small Caps, and align to small cap height. For all-cap settings requiring figures and monetary symbols of full-cap height, there are the “Cap” fonts. An alternate tabular “1” is provided in all fonts so that both fitted and tabular settings of figures are possible (access to alternate characters subject to system or application support).

  17. Henriette by Typejockeys, $-
The redefinition of a classic In the 1920s the Viennese government decided to standardize the street signs across the city. A typeface was especially constructed for the purpose. It was available in a Heavy and a Bold Condensed version, to support short street names as well as longer ones. As the years went by, the typeface was adopted and redrawn by several enamel factories. These adaptations lead to variations on the design, and to the fact that there isn’t a Viennese street sign font but 16 – in part severely – different versions. Henriette is not a digitization of any of those versions; rather, it is influenced by all of them. The italic versions are completely original and designed to accompany the Roman.

  19. Petroglyph by ParaType, $25.00
PT Petroglyph™ was designed by Ekaterina Kulagina and licensed by ParaType in 2002. The type was created on the basis of petroglyphs (rock-carvings) that are known in 77 countries. They remained in a form of geometrical drawings in the caves of North Spain and France. Scientists claim that the radial spread-out of circles or center-pointed circles that are usually depicted show the development of solar symbolism at that period of time. We know for sure that such mysterious signs as drawings carved on rocks already existed 40 centuries ago.
  20. LTC Goudy Sans by Lanston Type Co., $24.95
Goudy Sans Bold was originally designed by Fredric Goudy in 1922 as a less formal "gothic" and finished in 1929. The light was designed in 1930 and the Light Italic in 1931. Alternate letterforms are included in these three Goudy designs which are digitized true to their original design. In 2006, designer Colin Kahn drew "LTC Goudy Sans Regular" which is a medium weight version intended for text purposes. Kahn has also designed an experimental "LTC Goudy Sans Hairline" which has a skeletal almost mono-width stroke and results in a surprisingly elegant display face.
  21. Klex Plus by Ingo, $42.00
A calligraphic alphabet in bold/light brushstrokes Actually, a typeface like this one should be written with a wide brush; this one was written with a thick, pointed brush. Thus were created the round or misshapen ends of the stems, and the sometimes excessively pointed ends of the hairlines. For each character of KLEX, the large brush was dipped in the ink anew. Using this method, the forms turned out very soft, in spite of their geometrical rigidity. The individual characters are heavy, simple, and monumental, so that they are also suitable as initials.

  28. MyCRFT by DM Founts, $28.00
MyCRFT was designed as a custom heading typeface for Drew Maughan's IhNohMinecraft project. ABOUT THE PROJECT Beginning life in 2015 under the name Mascoteers, the project was an ensemble of small-scale characters built from LEGO elements. The challenge was in creating the different figures with the restrictions of existing LEGO elements, while being recognisable as individual characters. The project was initially well received within the LEGO community and with the general public, but was eventually ignored and even ridiculed in favour of LEGO's own BrickHeadz theme, launched in late 2016. It was rebranded IhNohMinecraft as a response to the deliberate cries of "Ih dih Minecraft?" since BrickHeadz' launch. The project has no relation to the popular game. ABOUT THE TYPEFACE The motivation to create MyCRFT was as part of establishing IhNohMinecraft as its own project, by giving it a new visual identity. The typeface could be described as a cross between the ones used for Gears Of War and Overwatch. I liked the boldness of the former, and the italicized straight edges of the latter. MyCRFT was intended to be used in its Black Italic form from the beginning, and was designed around the letters from the word MINECRAFT. Where I couldn't decide on specific characters, I've included the designs as alternative glyphs. I've also included the old "square" Mascoteers logo and the newer "head" IhNohMinecraft logo. MyCRFT is paired with Kanit on the official IhNohMinecraft web site. Let me know if you discover a better pairing! PROJECT LINKS View the IhNohMinecraft "reveal" playlist on YouTube. 29. FS Lola by Fontsmith, $80.00
L-O-L-A Like the subject of the Kinks’ song, FS Lola is a little bit of both – a font with a rare combination of masculine and feminine. The font was inspired by the song, which itself was inspired by the night the Kinks’ manager spent dancing drunkenly in a Soho club with a beautiful woman... Or so he’d thought, until her stubble started to show halfway through the evening. Masculine/feminin Phil Garnham’s experience in designing FS Lola was similar to the one related by Ray Davies. Setting out to create a sans serif font, he realised along the way that he was actually dealing with a semi-serif. He went with it, though, and produced a font with the best masculine and feminine qualities: hard edges and corners tempered by shapes of softness and generosity, the outcome of what Phil calls an “organic” design process. “Initially, my designs were very graphic and hard but not very distinctive. By printing and redrawing the letters in pencil I achieved a softer and friendlier alphabet with a strong personality.” Broad Lola, as you’d expect, is very broad-minded. Available in five weights with italics – and fluent in central European languages – FS Lola offers a confident combination of feminine softness and male steeliness to any kind of design. As the song says, “It’s a mixed-up, muddled-up, shook-up world... except for Lola.
  30. Sánchez Niu by Latinotype, $-
Sánchez Niu is a redesign of Sánchez—one of the first font families by Latinotype designed in 2011. In the typedesign industry the terms ‘nova’, ‘neue’, ‘next’, ‘new’ are often used to refer to a typeface that has been modified in different ways: redesign, technical readjustments, greater number of characters, etc. At Latinotype we are now starting to use the word ‘niu’ to refer to these kinds of typefaces. Niu is an adaptation of the original word ‘new’, i.e., we have adapted this English word to the phonology and spelling of our own language but keeping the original meaning. Race mixing, diversity, change and adaptation are part of the essence of Latin American culture and, at Latinotype, we are all constantly expressing these elements in everything we do. Latin Power! This new version includes improvements that make it work well with longer text. Such improvements have not had a major effect on the look of the font, though. We have adjusted the original proportions and added a number of new characters as well as OpenType features such as small caps, oldstyle figures, tabular numbers and stylistic alternates. Sánchez Niu contains a set of 720 characters that support 219 languages. The font is well-suited for long text, headlines and logotypes, and it has been optimised for web usage. Sánchez Niu comes with two free fonts—Regular and Regular Italic! Corrections, digital editing and review by César Araya, Rodrigo Fuenzalida and Alfonso García.

  32. Planet Express by Estudio Calderon, $29.99
Family type designed by Felipe Calderón. This type is a display with a modern style and a different and innovative concept. The development of this type was a challenge because it was set out from the begining as a script font with ornaments and complements, where the round shapes do not have prominence in the result. Planet Express is an interesting job from the aesthetic point of view, it works for big scale texts and contains little shadow-cuts in each character to give it more personality and stand out among other fonts from this gender. I hope this new project works to solve issues in design. Planet Express is composed of Regular & Italics, it has 250 intelligent ligatures to produce the best signs in big scale, it is perfect for branding and works very well with the geometric complements. It is designed with programming in opentype: Ligatures, Discretionary ligatures, Stylistic Alternates, Stylistic set 01, Stylistic set 02, Stylistic set 03, Stylistic set 04, Stylistic set 05, Stylistic set 06, Stylistic set 07, Stylistic set 08 & Stylistic set 09, multiple language support and a complete set of extras like arrows, catchwords, flags, emblems, hands, fleurons & crossed elements. Planet Express can be used in different ways, each character pretends to cover the needs in any circumstance where it is used. It is funny to write words and play with the complements. It also works with current concepts in graphic design like sports, cars, hip hop, music, social network, skateboarding and more. Everybody can use this font, it works with different languages like italian, french, portuguese, danish, german and so forth. See specimen and samples here. Enjoy it!
