My Dizzy Edge font is really not that dizzy! Actually it's quite steady and legible - super good for packaging, greeting cards and perhaps even commercials for toys, candy, t-shirts, movieposters...yep, that list is long! What's more interesting is that the font as got 6 different versions of each letter - at first glance, the letters don't vary that much, but a closer look reveals the sometimes grungy outline of a pen! But theres more!!! Dizzy Edges comes with multi-language accents!!! What's not to like!!!

Salacious is my soft/rough all-caps font, inspired by both comics and grafitti. The weight and width of the letters varies a bit. Not in a disturbing way, but more in a lively and organic way. I've added 5 (slightly) different versions of each letter (which automatically cycles as you type!) The letter shapes are a bit rough, due to the fact that they are handmade, and all corners are rounded, which gives a nice soft look!

Kevin Curtis runs a site called Damosel's Printer's Blocks, specializing in rare an unusual examples from the years when letterpress was the main source of printed material. He graciously provided the source material for Print Damosel JNL. The collected images represent a varied cross-section of ornamentation, embellishments, attention getters, decorations and whimsical illustrations.

A poster for the publication “The Quartier Latin – A Magazine Devoted to the Arts” featured the magazine’s name in a light Art Nouveau serif style. The Quartier Latin was published between 1896 and 1899 by the American Art Association of Paris. This is now available as Nouveau Meadow JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Sully-Jonquières is Mendoza’s most original calligraphic alphabet. It was commissioned by the French publisher Henri Jonquières. Its characters are based on the shape of cursive letters. Kate’s ring, the Queen’s carriage, crown, skyline, cityscapes, cars, double-decker bus, castles, bridge, tea items, flag and more.

A 1940s ad flier for the Los Angeles restaurant “Lucca Paris Inn” had its name hand lettered at the top of the page in a condensed Art Deco slab serif with some stylized characters. Given a more uniform look, the end result became Dining Out JNL and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Use the [ and ] key to create a unique flag ending on your words. Use alternating lowercase and uppercase with the Bounce version to create a bouncy look. To create a solid space instead of an empty space, use the bar key | which shares a key with the \ backslash on my keyboard. Your keyboard may vary.

Be Bright is a sweet elegant handbrushed calligraphy font. It has a varying baseline with separate swashes that can be applied to the beginning and ends of all lowercase letters. Painted on paper, then scanned, vectorized and carefully made into a font. Be Bright includes several ligatures and international support for most western languages. For the separate swashes font, type lowercase a-z for the beginning swashes and end swashes (access to the glyphs panel is not available, just add swashes manually). The result of a study into the Paris Metro system; Metro Sans is a Grotesk typeface with personality. It bridges the gap between the stern terminals of a Swiss Neo-Grotesk, and the smooth curves of a modern day Geo-Grotesk. The two combine to give a versatile typeface that works well in both body and display weights.

A set of rubber stamp letters, figures and punctuation used for marking electrical or communications equipment [and made in Japan] is the basis for this serif typeface. Varying widths and some letters in more of a block style than rounded are typical of Japanese packaging text from the 1950s and 1960s. Available in regular and oblique styles.

The hand lettered film credits for 1937’s “Make Way for Tomorrow” were done in a sans serif design with an ever-so-slight flare and a slightly semi-calligraphic look. Unusual in both style and varying character thicknesses, the lettering has been digitally redrawn as Retirement JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A quirky and unusual Art Deco monoline typeface can be found within the pages of the Esterbrook Drawlet Pen instruction book [circa the 1940s]. Drawlet was the direct competitor to Speedball Lettering pen nibs. This unusual type design of varying width and character shapes is now available digitally as Oddly Deco JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

Hand lettering found across the sheet music cover of 1931's "Bend Down, Sister" [from the Eddie Cantor film "Palmy Days"] covered a couple of varying Art Deco styles; both made with a round-tipped pen nib. Deco Pen JNL combines the best of both styles into one design that's available in both regular and oblique versions.

My goal in designing Zentral was to create a distinctive sculptural font intentionally in Regular and Italic only. I believe Zentral Regular and Italic has the latitude and flexibility needed in most type scenarios without having to resort to multiple weights. Zentral Regular upper/lowercase provides a very pleasant contrast and can be varied by using Zentral Regular capitals. Zentral Italic is ideal for creating emphasis of words, quotes or phrases. This combination provides maximum impact and readability. Zentral is a contemporary font ideal for branding, packaging, advertising, editorial in print and e-print applications.

This family was inspired by the set of fonts used in Paris by Ponce Rosset, aka “Faucheur” to print the account of the second voyage to Canada by Jacques Cartier, first edition, in 1545. It is a Garalde set, the punchcutter is unknown, certainly it was not Garamond himself. In our two styles (normal and italic), fontfaces, kernings and spaces are scrupulously the same as in the original. This Pro font covers Western, Eastern and Central European languages (including Celtic) Baltic and Turkish, with standard and long-s ligatures in each of the two styles.

Foundry Flek and Foundry Plek are created on the same dot matrix grid system. Each family includes: light, regular, medium and bold weights – with a selection of dot patterns that can extend the grid vertically and horizontally. The underlying matrix common to each weight allows experimentation with overlays, and mixing weights produces varying effects. Foundry Plek used conventionally works well for serious correspondence, with a 'typewriter font' effect. Foundry Flek has an integral dot matrix grid as a background. Georges Peignot designed Cochin based on copper engravings of the 18th century and Charles Malin cut the typeface in 1912 for the Paris foundry Deberny & Peignot. The font is named after the French engraver Charles Nicolas Cochin (1715–1790) although its style had little to do with that of the copper artist’s. The font displays a curious mix of style elements and could be placed as a part of the typographical Neorenaissance movement. Cochin is especially large and wide and was very popular at the beginning of the 20th century.
