Romanovsky is the font developed on the base of samples from the catalogue of Osip Lehman foundry in Sankt Petersburg. Original Latin design that was used for Romanovsky can be found in Feder Grotesk by Jacob Erbar. The current digital font is not a scanned version of Lehman’s samples but a newly drawn typeface that differs from the original in many details. Romanovsky is a sans serif typeface with narrow proportions and noticeable contrast. It will be good for headings and display matters. Character set covers languages of Western and Central Europe and Cyrillic-based languages. It also contains around 20 ligatures of uppercase letters for the most frequent combinations. Designed by Vasily Biryukov. The bold weight was developed together with Olexa Volochay. Released by ParaType in 2013.

Cascadeur was born from a type design study and went a long way to its final form. Deva Ideal was inspired by women’s beauty. It didn’t come only from the desire to create a new typeface. It also seeks to materialize beauty in a visual form. Instead of imitating the shapes of the female body or other formal attributes, Deva Ideal is an abstract expression of the women’s beauty. This is the redrawn and expanded version of an alphabet Rebecca Alaccari made back in 2009 as a bespoke font for a tourism agency looking to recapture the appeal of New Orleans after the hurricane Katrina disaster robbed it of its core industries. The brief back then was to "revive the unique spirit of what always made Nola great for new adults, which is the excellent combination of history, romance, food and music." No word of a lie, the brief actually contained "new adults." Storyville contains two interchangeable sets of forms drawn in the doodly, loose and organic way now conspicuously popular with today's young designers, almost every one of whom thinks they will get to design something for a boutique coffee bar somewhere. Well, this whole thing perhaps means freedom, youth, fun, happiness, good stuff like that. But just in case, a little caution doesn't hurt: Use this font only if you know what you're doing. We don't want to go back to the 1990s. Please. We were nearly done for by that exposure the first time around. The ligatures feature in this font does some pseudo-randomization, so the forms in doubled letters don't repeat. Serious fun can be had by also applying the stylistic alternates feature, or picking a letter in the middle of a setting and disabling the ligatures feature. Or various sequences of all that. If you don't like any of that stuff, just forget about it. Uh, wutever.

Our Binder Family is a revival and expansion of Binder-Style, a typeface designed by Joseph Binder and released by D. Stempel AG in 1959. It originally was a single weight. In later film type adaptations, a bold style, and an outline with drop shadow style were made available. Plastilin type family of two weights obtained its name due to the soft, curved, stroke terminals of characters (J, K, L, R and others) and the little pointed serifs, as if extruded from stroke plastic mass. The character set has a lot of additional Latin and Cyrillic ligatures, as well as several alternate letter forms. Plastilin was designed for ParaType by Oleg Karpinsky in 2005. It is for use both in display setting and short text passages. In 2008 the author added two weights (Light and Black) and improved letterforms of some characters.

Basile is the conclusion of a process that began with the learning of italic handwriting in a roballos-Naab studio course. In this workshop I developed a variation of chancery handwriting which had a more pronounced wider than its historical model. While making the digitalization, the forms were modified to obtain a similar spirit to the one in the handwriting, but thinking about the text in small sizes. Also incorporating three sets of forms enlarged the family: italic, swash and extra swash. And the addition of initials and terminals sets.

Matthew Carter’s Miller is a seminal reinvigoration of the 19th-century Scotch Roman, serving forthright, authoritative body copy and headlines since 1997. The inspiration source for MFC Gilchrist Monogram is an extremely ornamented letterset from a vintage embroidery publication from the early 1900's. A set of self-adhesive poster board letters once made by the E-Z Letter Stencil Company and sold under the name "Quik Stik" was the model for School Project JNL. Ironically, the line was discontinued because they did not stick very well - the weight of the cardboard caused the letters (which used a rubber cement type of glue) to pull away from the surface they were mounted to. Unlike vinyl self-adhesive letters (which were formulated for indoor or outdoor use) these cardboard sets were relegated to indoors only; further restricting their usability.

The extravagant Odin was designed by Bob Newman in 1972. Its figures display constructed basic forms and when set into words, the typeface builds closely set lines. The strong serifs catch the reader's eye and draws it horizontally across the page. The forms of the capital letters are particularly distinctive. In the upper third, the stroke beginnings seem to form a roof over the body of the letter, fragmented by a fine white line that lends them independence and dominance. Odin is best used for headlines in display point sizes.

Suppose you were at a sandy beach and you wanted to write a message by making footprints in the sand. You might end up with letters much like those in Barefoot, a typeface made with bare feet. It is all caps but most of the letters on the lower-case keys differ from those on the upper-case keys. It looks best at large point sizes where the details of the feet are clear. Art Nouveau typeface "Gaisma" ("Light" in Latvian) contains characters for all the European languages, Cyrillic and modern Greek as well as a huge set of contextual and stylistic alternates and historical characters to replicate the texts of the era. It draws inspiration from Vienna Secession movement and Nordic National Romanticism. The work on the design started as drawings of several characters for the graphic standard for the Jugendstil museum in Riga.
