Elongated Roman is a Didone-style serif typeface. It was originally designed in 1950 by typographers at Stephenson Blake. After International TypeFounders, Inc. acquired exclusive licensing rights to the Stephenson Blake Collection, Steve Jackaman (ITF) digitally revived the typeface in 1997 for the Red Rooster Collection. Much like other Didone typefaces, Elongated Roman’s strong contrast between thick and thin strokes and hairline serif design strengthen its elegance as a “modern face.” Unlike other Didone typefaces in the Red Rooster Collection, Elongated Roman was designed with display size in mind thanks to its strong variance in stroke weight.

This American original was designed in 1901 by Frederic W. Goudy for the American Type Founders in Jersey City. Copperplate Gothic is an all caps font which looks like a sans serif at first glance. But closer examination reveals tiny, pointy serifs which almost seem to round off the letters. Designers rely on this font’s lofty and sublime impression and it is often seen in advertisements, but it has also made a place for itself in private and business correspondence and corporate design. The AB and BC designations in the style names refer to the relative sizes of the capitals and small capitals.

The three fonts in the Prescott series are re-creations of 19th century favorites with an Old West flavor. The town of Prescott was the capital of Arizona Territory from 1864 until 1912, when Arizona was admitted to the Union, and the capital moved to Phoenix. In 1986 Page Studio Graphics started its digital foundry in Arizona. The fonts are thoroughly pair-kerned, including all accented characters. Auto-kerning should be turned on in your application program. The font packages include both TrueType and PostScript versions, and are available in either PC/Win or Macintosh format. Toms Finger Family fonts is a hand drawn sans serif series containing Regular weight (Toms Finger), Bold weight (Toms Thumb), and Light weight (Toms Pinky). The letterforms of Lucien Bernhard's stylish, if somewhat anorexic, Bernhard Fashion were beefed up and complemented with thick-and-thin stroke variation to create this elegant family, available in normal and bold weights. Additionally, Bernhard's variant forms have replaced several of the letters which commonly appear in other revivals. The Postscript and Truetype versions contain a complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252); in addition, the Opentype version supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages as well.

Isbellium retains the large x-height, open character, wide stance and elegance of Americana, but with a quieter voice and polite authority. Isbellium is a display face with broad Latin support along with small caps, fraction support and other typographic niceties are included in the ten font family.

Salto was developed by Karlgeorg Hoefer and introduced in 1952 by the foundry Gebr. Klingspor in Offenbach. The capital letters were drawn with a brush, the lower case with a broad-tipped pen developed by Hoefer especially for the task. Salto reflects the Zeitgeist of the 1950s, appearing frequently in advertisements during the years of the Wirtschaftswunder. The font’s extravagance and dynamic quality arise from the contrast between the strong, zestful capitals and the more reserved lower case letters.

Magola is a creamy flavor font family whose purpose is to season with emotions the reading of words and phrases formed by puffy glyphs coated with a caramel of empty spaces external and internal. Independently or in groups, members of the family serve to decorate and organize packaging or advertising material in letters apparently crafted for food or entertainment contexts. Its starting point was to draw letters like a ballon fish evolved into a black version with empty areas and microscopic contrasted with colorful inflated and filled areas.
