Mr. Jenkins is designed to fill the void between the crazy, wacky and reckless comic style fonts, and the standard boring but very readable sans-serif typefaces. It makes for a distinctive bold headline, but is also quite legible at small sizes. It’s just off kilter enough to not take itself too seriously. A deceptively care-free font, each character was carefully drawn. The spacing and kerning of each letter and letter combination were painstakingly considered. Particular attention was paid to maintaining consistent optical weights and a spontaneous appearance. Mr. Jenkins is inspired heavily by humanist sans-serif faces such as Myriad and Lucida Sans, with its open apertures, and low contrast but almost calligraphic line weights. The lowercase a is single story in the italic face, but two story in the regular face. It contains uncommon features amongst many “quirky” fonts, including a full set of latin accented characters, lining and proportional figures, math symbols, standard fractions, foreign currency marks, contextual alternates, and even a few ligatures.

Glyphic Neue was inspired by the Op Art style of lettering in the United States that ran rampant in many photo type houses in the 1960's and 1970's. The Glyphic Series from the Franklin Photolettering group was an influence and spring board for this family of fonts, hence it's name. But Glyphic Neue departs from its unicase Franklin influence in several ways. Firstly the designer created both upper and lower case forms. The lowercase has been designed with barley protruding ascenders and descenders and with an x-height equivalent to the cap height, so that upper and lower can be exchanged indiscriminately for a quirky effect. Some of the letters take a cue from the original Glyphic series but many have been redesigned entirely to fit the designers vision. The italic forms differ enough from the upright version making it almost an entirely different display alphabet. Glyphic Neue is a versatile family of 6 fonts -- 3 widths, each with an accompanying italic that look equally at home when used on a party flier or a sports team visual identity.

For this Byzantine Empire calligraphy font, I had to work for 2 weeks and 3-4 hours a day and search the internet. It made me very tired, but I finally finished it, and it was good. Changa is a layered font intended for titles or short texts blocks, with its short ascenders and descenders and a set of lowercase letters inscribed within a square. The uppercases case gains slightly more in height and develops its morphology in a single height in order to make it possible to create text composition with minimum line spacing. Its counter-shapes are rectangular, featuring small curvatures in opposite vertexes which accompany and break the shapes, thus evoking a modern style.

Darker Marker is just what the name suggests: I found a very big fat marker in a local stationary store, bought it, came home and went to work on this font. Darker Marker is a very clear, very easy to read marker font. It is all caps, but upper and lower case differ and can be interchanged. Darth Vader would have said: “come to the dark side” and I believe you should. Darker Marker comes preloaded with all the diacritics you need.

Korey Sister is a beautiful brush font, a contemporary approach to design, this is intentionally made by hand to make it more natural and attractive when used in your design. In hardware stores across the country are display racks with letters and numbers silk-screened onto self-adhesive aluminum "parallelograms". These handy and durable items have graced countless mailboxes, office doors, hallway signs and automobiles for years. My fellow font designing buddy [Harold Lohner] suggested that I make a font based on this form of lettering as a counterpart to my Mailbox Letters JNL (also based on self-adhesive signage product)... and now his suggestion takes shape as a digital font... Luminum JNL.

Aquinas is distinguished by the contrast between its upright, generous capitals and its narrow, slanted lower case letters which look almost like italics. The combination of these so different alphabets creates an opportunity to give texts an unusual yet elegant look. Aquinas is suitable for both running text and headlines and should be used in point sizes of 10 or larger. The lyrical and sophisticated feel of Aquinas makes it a particularly good typeface for poems, songs and other artistic texts.

Linotype Balder is a part of the Take Type Library, winners of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contest. Designed by Lutz Baar, Balder is reminiscent of advertisement and poster typefaces of the 1950s and 1960s. It is composed of only capital letters, making it perfect for initials and headlines. Balder looks as though it were written with a broad tipped pen. Its light serifs at the tops of the characters and the slant of some of the strokes give Balder a dynamic feel.

I really don’t like candy. In fact, I even hate the smell of candy! But… You can wake me up for caramel in any form or shape! When I was a kid, we used to get a tin of wrapped English ‘quality’ toffees for Christmas. My favourites were the big, flat chewy caramels in a bright purple wrapper! Chewy Caramel is a happy handmade font, ideal for book covers, candy wrappers and labels. Comes with double-letter ligatures for the lower case.

Decour Soft is the rounded-edged version of Decour. It is a slab serif humanist low contrast typeface. The overall design also features strong curves, making it a very friendly face. The font retains the original elegant features of Decour—based on Art Deco design—such as high contrast between upper and lower case characters.
