Museum Fournier is inspired by a set of Rococo capitals designed by Pierre Simon Fournier le Jeune circa 1760. The matrices are part of a set imported to Sweden by J.P. Lindh in 1818 from Breitkopf & Härtel in Leipzig, Germany. They are now in the Nordiska Museum in Stockholm. Type designer Torbjörn Olsson has expanded the original 31 lead matrices in the collection to 55 characters. Please note that the font contains capitals only, no lower case letters and no figures either. Museum Fournier is an OpenType creation, for both PC and Mac. A FEW THOUGHTS Indie is a trendy script, result of the wide range of possibilities that can be achieved using a pointed brush. (1) “You Only Live Once” say The Strokes, (to me, symbols of indie music) so, what would represent that sensation of volatility better than a brush? As you may already know, this time inspiration came from hipsters and indies around us: We may sometimes criticise them, we may sometimes want to be like them, but the truth is that the universo gráfico they generated these past years is gigantic, full of colour and variations. (2) Brush lettering and Sign painting are fields I've been fond of since I started as a designer. Nowadays, these styles are getting a lot of attention and maybe it’s due to the undeniable mark of life that is materialised when using a brush. This tool is so expressive that shows the passions and fears of the artist, and materialises that idea of “living the present”, so popular in this era. When you see Indie, you think of skaters, rollers, surfers, hiphop dancers, street artists, summer, and why not? California beaches. So if you feel life is only one, it’s high time you got Indie into your fonts' collection! STYLES Indie comes in 4 styles plus another one which consists only in capitals. Indie; Indie Shade; Indie Shade Solo; Indie Inline are all open-type programmed and have exactly the same glyphs and metrics, so you can combine them without probem. (I.E. If there is ever a need for a heptagonal font, that is, a font based on a seven-sided polygon, Heptagroan may fit the bill, unless the need is also for true lower-case letters. Heptagroan is caps only, though some of the caps on the lower-case keys differ from those on the upper-case keys. Heptagroan is monospaced and is available in two weights.

A long-set aside Art Deco typeface design begun (but not completed) may or not have been from a vintage source, but its roots go well back into Art Deco lettering. Taking the existing letters and thickening their weights, removing the counters and ending up with a completely new, solid alphabet design resulted in Deco Redux JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Don't be afraid to taste something sugar free - most times you will be surprised how good it tastes! My Sugar Free font may not look as very much at first glance - but play around with the Regular and Italic versions (and notice the 4 different versions of each letter, that automatically cycles as you type!) and you will see how lively the font is!

Futureboy is my ALL-CAPS worn comic font. At first glance it may look monospaced, but it's not! Despite its worn look and jumpy baseline/x-height, it is surprisingly legible. BlusterLeft and BlusterRight are distortions of the font ConcavexCaps. Both are caps only, but some of the shapes on the lower-case keys differ from the corresponding shapes on the upper-case keys. They family was named Bluster because I thought they have a wind-blown, flopping-in-the-breeze look. Others may see them as spooky or eerie, something that could be used for Halloween.

Alma may appear slightly weathered, but still maintains a sharp and determined face. The casual strokes are at times pointed, yet ultimately playful. The Zheldor typeface was designed specially for the Railroad movie credits, but wasn’t used there. As a result, here comes an original type product that fits nicely into the urban environment. This vigorous, twitching and deconstructive font works well for emotional large-letter designs and non-too-serious teenage style headings. But however extreme it may seem, Zheldor also has a simple and friendly feel to it.

Based on William Caslon’s design (c1720) which was itself based on Dutch Baroque typefaces. Querino Script is an extra-bold script font, created by Måns Grebäck during 2018 and 2019. It comes as a regular, upright version and as italic. Also check out its sister typeface Querino Sans. Delphin is a calligraphic font with upright capitals and slightly inclined lowercase. Delphins ascenders are tall and a number of letters have tails which descend below the baseline. Delphin is a useful face in advertising for short texts and display. Bugleboy started as a digitized version of "Wood Grotesk," a 1970s film typeface by LetterGraphics. It started with a bare bones character set which we added swash alternates for Capitals, Stylistic Alternates for a Unicase look, and crafted a Sans version without serifs. It's nice when a font provides old style figures, small caps and alternate letters. But what if my typesetting program doesn't support Open Type features? The solution may be old-fashioned, but it's effective: the variants are placed in separate font families: Standard, Old Style Figures (OSF), and Small Caps (SC). Any word processor can handle it. HGB Info SC adds real Small Caps to HGB Info.
