Bex Script is a riff on traditional French script forms: the Bâtarde, the Ronde, and the Coulée. It has two versions: First, there’s La Belle, a straightforward, lovely interpretation of the script form, suitable for things like invitations, poetry and branding. La Belle’s evil twin is La Bête, a more whimsical (and considerably more hairy) version, great for anything that requires an elegant-but-beastly feel. Bex is surprisingly versatile! With three optional capital forms (Swash, Caps, and Small Caps) all taller than the x-height, Bex has a variety of voices. A full small cap set and a full set of Swash Caps, plus a large complement of alternates, initial forms, terminal forms, and ligatures makes it customizable and… well, FANCY! Additionally, both versions of Bex Script have a set of ten ornament glyphs. La Belle has a combination of fleurons on a culinary theme and symbols of France. La Bête has ten pseudoheraldic beasts that would feel at home at the top center of any whimsical letterhead. NOTE: A few years ago in Paris, I was lucky enough to stop at the Librairie Paul Jammes in St Germain-des-Prés, where I bought a turn-of-the-19th-century signature from a Type Specimen of the printer Joseph Gaspard Gillé. The irregularity of his script types — particularly the ones at smaller sizes, like the Cicéro — was very intriguing. They seemed to blend the Ronde with some elements of the Bâtarde and Coulée. And they, along with the work of French master penman Louis Rossignol, gave Bex Script its initial form.

Metaphysica is an unorthodox futuristic typeface that provides otherworldly zest without overly compromising typographic aesthetics. Combining weird angular beams and junctions with soft and round forms, Metaphysica finds the middle ground between sci-fi futurism and friendly legible sans.

It's been a while since I named a font after a sheep, so I figured it was about time. The Blue Sheep, or Naur (Pseudois nayaur), is actually an existing species of sheep. It is found in the Himalayas and is a major food for the very rare snow leopard. Peter Matthiessen wrote a book about it called The Snow Leopard. My Blue Sheep font is not rare, nor threatened. It is an uplifting text font. It is very legible and fun to use and will keep you bleating for more. Comes with a flock of diacritics.

XyloScript is my first script with a woodcut look to it. Still, it is very elegant. Xylo is Greek and means “wood”. This script is another one I designed in the tradition of the 18th-century English calligrapher George Bickham and the 19th-century American calligrapher Platt Rogers Spencer. I like it, your very crafty Gert Wiescher BTW if your font manager tells you that the font is corrupted, just ignore that! This script is very complex and that’s causing some font managers to say the font is corrupted. I have tested it and it works fine!

A one-time co-worker of mine sometimes used a fanciful inkpen-style script in display-lettering situations. I liked it a lot. "Phil," I says, "why not do the whole alphabet, maybe a few little dingbats, and I'll make a font." Well, one day he presented me with a stack of posterboard; he'd done some letters, all right -- hundreds of 'em. I managed to boil these down into a typeface called Treefrog, a name that seems to match its organic jumble, its tall x-height, its left- and right-leaning stems, its thick and thin strokes. Full release has many dingbats.

Kuunari is structured square sans type family of 42 fonts. It has three widths and 7 weights in both upright and italic versions. Rahaf is my little daughter's name; the word 'Rahaf' means kindness, sensitive and loving in Arabic. Thus, HS Rahaf is an Arabic display and text typeface. It is useful for headlines, books cover and other graphic projects. It gives the feeling and impression of hand-lettering. So it can be used for text when hand writing is needed, like in caricature texts and children stories and books. HS Rahaf is characterized by simplicity, clarity of reading and beautiful flaunt. It contains many ligatures which increase and modify its beauty. The font supports Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Kurdish and Pashto languages.

I came across an article in which the author warned about the growing pile of technojunk. It appears we throw away 50 million tonnes of unwanted gadgets EVERY YEAR - and, yes, that number is growing as these are the figures for 2012. 50 million tonnes - just think of that! The new font I was working on had a squarish look - almost computer like, so I decided to call it technojunk. Hopefully you won't throw it away… Technojunk is a 3D font, every glyph was drawn by hand. It is fat, fun and very useful. Try it out!

Centrale Sans Condensed is not just a "squished" version of our Centrale Sans family, it's designed as a stand alone typeface with the family characteristics in mind. It bears all the qualities of the normal width being even friendlier because of the closer relation it has with the humanist model. The condensed width is with 15% narrower than its normal sibling, which makes it precious space-saving tool. Centrale Sans Condensed also have 9 weights from Hairline to Extra Bold plus their matching italics. Rock and Cola's design is clearly inspired by the sinuous shapes of the world's most famous drink's logo. It however does not pretend to copy it faithfully or to serve as a platform to generate the logo itself. Rock and Cola is a very elegant Script font with great weight and contrast. This humanistic sans serif distinguishes itself by its Japanese calligraphy influence. Being written with a felt tip rather than with a brush, its Japanese connotation is remote and non-dominant, thus providing excellent readability and a charm of its own. Parametra is a very elegant and modern typeface achieved by the strong form reduction of the individual characters and at the same time harmonizing them by given parameters. It is something of its own, but quite legible and well-suited for small text. Also, Parametra and Bohemian can be mixed perfectly since their proportions and dimensions are the same.

Typewalk Mono 1915, the vintage typewriter grotesque that is branded by history. It is a tribute to the European sign painter and lettering tradition of the early 20th century. Typewalk Mono 1915 also speaks in the proto-rational and graphical language of the Werkbund Objectivity which was used around 1915. It works great for cultural, editorial and branding purposes. It is versatile in small printing sizes and works great on the web. Speaking with its unique voice. Typewalk Mono 1915 is the debut release by Sven Fuchs and was designed between 2012 and 2016. It has 8 distinctive weights from thin to bold.

Since I have my new logotype people are asking me about the typeface it is based on. But it did not exist and I did not believe that it would actually work. I still love my logotype and so I went on to try to make it work as a font. After many different versions and some doubts I am glad to present Jocham. It is the first typeface with my name. For an obvious reason. There is only one weight with an italic. I tried different weight, but they were all not as strong as the final.

Argos, a type face with a strong personality. A rounded serif type family which uses exclusively modern design elements. Good Song is a cursive font based on the USA's teaching script. It can be written in Carolinian, Sioux, Oʼodham, Southern Athabaskan, Hawaiian, and Samoan from USA. It can also be written in Dutch, Maltese, Aymara, Mapuche, Rapa Nui, and other languages. This font family is cute. The style is wide and rounded. It has wide and open loops. The strokes are drawn with a round cap tool, with no contrast. It is cursive and connected. The form is upright. It is easy to read in the USA. Part H has capitals with High starts. Part L has capitals with low starts.

Peter started as a sketch in the static sans-serif tradition of Helvetica®. Then slight references to the calligraphic origin of type were added, giving it a more distinct character. This neo-grotesque sans has rational and clear basic letterforms, while in its details it unfolds attributes of humanist type. As a neo-grotesque sans it claims a very modest design, yet being a bit wider than its relatives and offering the warmth of humanist drafts. Zim is a bold, earthy font, named for the Great Zimbambwe ruins (a World Heritage site). Its solid silhouette represents the timelessness of this ancient structure. Bannock Brae Gothic is a sans serif typeface. It is an original creation of Steve Jackaman (ITF) and was created for the Red Rooster Collection in 1999. The typeface was loosely inspired by a typeface from an old obscure wood type specimen book from the turn of the 20th century. Due to its turn-of-the-century roots, Bannock Brae Gothic has an informal 1920’s art deco look. It finds an ideal home in lighthearted projects concerning crafts, food, festivals, and music, but its alternates still give it the flexibility to showcase a classic and timeless feel in any project.

Where Modern is too fragile and Century too boring, Hercules comes with its elegant forms and, at the same time, with sufficient firmness to be usable for longer texts. In its heavy, bold designs it approaches Falstaff, while in the light ones it has some features which are taken over from Didot or from Modern. The text designs have been corrected for small sizes. The range of its use is, therefore, quite extensive - from dictionaries and technical literature through magazines to art posters and advertising materials. Suitable combination: Splendid Quartett (especially recommended), Excelsor Script, Plagwitz, but also Zeppelin and Compur.

Bogue is a soft serif type family of 8 weights and matching italics. The soft forms gives it a friendly and approachable character with a hint of retro feeling. Bogue comes with a lots of stylistic alternates that makes it very versatile in various uses like logos, editorial design, branding, web design, package design and much more. You can use it to create short powerful phrases and headlines and also use it in longer text like lead paragraphs and body texts. So if you are looking for a versatile soft serif font with a friendly character you have found it!

Jessie Neue in a new Serif typeface inspired by popular '70s fonts mixed with grotesque touches. It has ligatures that make it more elegant and grotesque elements that give it a modern look and make it more versatile. Jessi Neue has a great performance in large body texts and also in high impact headlines. The family has four weights and also a variable version to give more creative freedom. It has 667 characters that covers the following languages: Basic Latin, Western European, Central European, South Eastern European, Vietnamese, Pinyin and Basic Greek. The italic version will arrive soon.

Steradian is an exploration of the geometric genre and although it has a geometric base, the widths between letters are not much different across the weights. That is due to the process, in which the proportions of the heavier weights paved the way for the lighter ones. It also has a series of details that make Steradian stand out and gives it a special touch. Some of its main features are the double-story ‘a’, its closed apertures and some of the capitals have a distinct personality (such as the G and Q). EquipCondensed is the matching complement for Equip and EquipExtended . With its 16 fonts it extends the Equip family to 48 styles. It not only works superbly as a contrasting face for the ‘normal’ Equip but due to its moderate width, it also performs brilliantly as a space saving typeface. EquipCondensed is very well suited for ambitious typography. The EquipCondensed family comes in OpenType format with extended language support. I needed a name with ‘brush’ in it and most have already been taken, so I did a little digging and found out that Purshia tridentata, a flowering plant native to the mountainous areas of western North America is called bitterbrush. It is also known as antelope brush, quinine brush and buckbrush - but I settled on Bitterbrush. There’s nothing bitter about Bitterbrush. It is actually a very sweet hand brushed font. It comes with ligatures for double letter combinations and a truck load of diacritics. And (something I am very proud of): it supports the Vietnamese language!

Habano is an eleganty flowing bold script with some very surprising traits. Taking its roots in both the art deco style and the kind of lettering used for pop culture, its minuscules are classy yet obedient, and its majuscules and figures are playfully round and memorable. This contrast in character between cases makes for an appealing display face that can turn simple words into images that are hard to forget. Once again, the unique lettering talent of Angel Koziupa makes itself evident through an alphabet that leaves the memory of its soft touch for long after it is initially perceived.

Keyboard is a condensed and elongated Egyptian font family with thin serifs and a large x-height. Its original design was created in 1951 by Stephenson Blake. International TypeFounders, Inc. gained exclusive licensing rights to the Stephenson Blake Collection, and then Paul Hickson (P&P Hickson) and Steve Jackaman (ITF) created its digital form in 1994. Keyboard excels in display and subhead sizes, and brings a formal feel to any project. Its condensed nature gives it great visual density in the bolder weights, and the lighter weights allow it to retain legibility at both small and massive sizes.

Cardillac, named after E.T.A. Hoffmann’s literary figure, refers back to classical Didonesque, yet presents unique details which set it apart from historic models by adding a new flavour. Its clarity, noble appearance and cool elegance predestine it for magazines and newspapers. The Cardillac Family consists of 14 styles, provides many features which allow its application for ambitious typography. It comes in OpenType format with extended language support. All weights contain small caps, ligatures, superior characters, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals, matching arrows and alternate characters.

We just had the Eurovision Song Contest here in Holland. I quite like to watch it, as it is usually a freak show of kitsch, political incorrectness and often really bad music. But it is a laugh and this year was no different. It inspired me to create this particular font with this particular name. Sing Along is a happy, wobbly, kitschy font that comes with a bit of ‘over-the-topness’, a few personality issues and an unsteady gait. Needless to say, it is politically incorrect, but that, my friends, is not necessarily a bad thing.

I have no great love for walls, especially when they are built to keep people out. When I started working on this font, I realized it looked a bit like protest graffiti, found on… yes, walls. Down The Wall is a great little font: it is handwritten, messy and in your face. It has no real baseline and glyphs jump all over the place. Use it for book covers, posters, album covers - anything really. It certainly would look good on a wall too! Comes with a whole bunch of diacritics, so whatever you have to say, the world will understand.

Hand-hewn along the banks of the mighty River Raisin in Southeast Michigan, this heavy block typeface is the perfect addition to any design project in need of a stout, yet fun typographical treatment. Before this font made its journey into the outside world, it began its life as a 4B pencil sketch on cheap inkjet printer paper, as many of my projects do. This typeface, not unlike me, doesn't waste its time with finesse, or convention, and truly doesn't mind being a little bit on the thick side. There is a time for refinement and propriety, but this ain't it.

Feel the funk with the retro-inspired Valeson. This groovy mix of the ‘70s and ‘80s has an upbeat rhythm of its own that will make your project boogie. It’s loads of fun with its swashy, calligraphic twist. Push it to the max with plenty of weights. Denser weights are brawny and robust, fantastic for headlines, while medium weights are swell for short bits of text.
