Naveid Arabic is new version of Naveid with the addition of Arabic glyphs, for Arabic, Urdu, and Farsi. Basic form for arabic font is refers to the arabic kufi style, with combining the cuppped serif on top and the tinny Subtle Flaring on the terminal, to harmony with Latin.

Class, with a punch. It's rare to find fonts that are refined without being too delicate, stylish while still being bold and impactful. Guildhall is a heavy rectangular flared serif in face widths with matching italics. Suitable for film posters, rock concerts and band logos, beer labels, packaging and magazine headlines.

Zerno is a glyphic typeface with geometric roots. Its symmetrical flared serifs are reminiscent of stone carving techniques. With weights ranging from Thin to Black, it is versatile enough to be used in any environment - from screen to literal stone carving, as well as from posters to body copy that stands out.

Pseudonym is a low-contrast, subtly-flared serif available in four weights across three styles in both roman and italic. As with all of my typeface designs, I am creating fonts that I would use myself for branding purposes—typefaces with style and purpose that are intended for use in creating logos and distinctive branding typography. I wanted to create a typeface that had incisive flared serifs combined with the strength and solidity of modern grotesque faces. The result is Pseudonym, which I feel has great presence, style and legibility. Although I must admit, I had to tone down the flared serifs during the design process in order to achieve that :) I’m sure you will have great fun playing with some of the Open Type features that I’ve added to Pseudonym. There’s a full set of true small caps with their corresponding diacritics and figures. There are also a number of discretionary ligatures, these are chosen from the glyphs palette in your layout app to replace pairs of standard characters. You’ll also enjoy making use of the catchwords – these have been created to harmonise with each style, again, giving you more flexibility and scope to create some innovative typography. Finally, there are some alternate characters for /C/D/O/. UUeirdie is weird. The Condensed-Light style was derived from the star-serifed font Asterx by replacing the star serifs with a rounded flare serif. Widening that style resulted in UUeirdie-Regular and the bold was then constructed to complement it. The warped version was a result of play with a font distortion program. Although the glyphs have sharp corners, they do not have straight lines. The UUeirdie faces are rough, irregular, and maybe a bit creepy.

Emeritus is born from the carved letters found on buildings and monuments in Washington, DC. Muscular and low contrast but with assymetrical flared serifs that soften its stately presence. Small caps, inline caps, chiseled characters, and multiple weights and numerals offer an array of typographic voices. Notably academia, military, monumental, automotive, logos, signage, and so on.

The hand lettered film credits for 1937’s “Make Way for Tomorrow” were done in a sans serif design with an ever-so-slight flare and a slightly semi-calligraphic look. A revival of sorts, Freaky Frog BF is modeled after an 1887 design from Central Type Foundry, called Grimaldi. Much warmth and charm have been instilled into the original design through among other means, reworked contours and serifs. Contours are smoothened, liberated from its roughness, while serifs have become somewhat concave. Verticals and horizontals appear to "swell" owed in part to flared shapes. The overall effect, I believe, is one of pure typographic endearment.

The six typefaces of the Kyhota group all have an “Old West” look to them. KyhotaOne has very thick slab serifs compared to KyhotaTwo. KyhotaBarbed is more condensed than either and has little barbs on the verticals, something that was a feature of a number of nineteenth century typefaces in this style. KyhotaFezdaz is condensed, without barbs, and with the slab serifs replaced with a flare serif. KyhotaBigBottom and KyhotaBigTop play with the weighting of the serifs, with one (either top or bottom) very thin and the other very thick.

Thunderbird is an old American-style typeface. It is based on the kinds of big wood type that were popular in old Wild West advertising, which is evident through its ornate serifs, and the pointy flares that pop in and out of the centers of each stroke. Thunderbird is an all caps font and is best used in very large sizes.

Soulfinger PB is a another frisky offbeat typeface from Pink Broccoli, this time inspired by a vintage paperback cover of Patricia Highsmith's "A Pleno Sol". Soulfinger is a flare serif with just enough visual dance to it without going off the rails. It's simply a celebration of the original vintage paperback titling, letting it's freak flag fly, so to speak.

The PL Westerveldt font has a late twentieth-century style, with flared strokes. Use PL Westerveldt for display and short texts.
