Manchette Fine is the high contrast cut of Manchette typeface, which was inspired by the hand-written Naskh newspaper headlines during the 60s-70s era in the Arab world. The word "manchette" is a french word, that means headline. It was used mainly by the Egyptian calligraphers and designers. The typeface presents sharp and contemporary details, while taking into consideration the original Naskh rules to echo the elegancy of the hand-written titles. Featuring many opentype features, such as contextual alternates, ligatures, and a small set of stylistic alternates. The typeface also features a dynamic Kashida that can be controlled through the variable fonts technology in the Variable GX file which contains all the weights as well.

ITC Hornpype is the work of California freelance designer Mott Jordan, a cheerful display face inspired in part by the cartoons of the 1920s and 30s. According to Jordan, the typeface's name and three-dimensional quality can be traced to an early cartoon in which a cat blows on a horn with such force that the instrument bulges out. For the three-dimensional look, Jordan added highlights to the thicker strokes to create letters that look as though they were, in his words, squeezed from a toothpaste tube". For many decades, the fashion magazine “Vogue” featured superbly illustrated covers before photography became more commonplace. During the 1930s and 1940s those illustrations were accompanied by many creative styles of hand lettering for its monthly issues. The January, 1930 cover had the magazine’s name lettered in an Art Deco geometric monoline, which became the inspiration for Vagary JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. A vagary [in a simple sense] is when something or someone changes in an erratic or unexpected way (as the wind’s direction or in a person’s mood or whim)… and thus seemed the fitting name for this type style.
