Par Avion's design draws something of its inspiration from the wings of the old BSA Motorcycles logo and was developed in parallel with our Vinea typeface family. “Par Avion” means ‘By Air’ - remember those little blue stickers in the Post Office - for sending Air Mail? We think this typeface design has a lovely streamlined feel of the early jet-era about it.

Ye-As-Ta is a unique interpretation of traditional brush drawn oriental calligraphy. A caps only font, the characters type English style left to right but appear laid on their side. When the text box is rotated 90 degrees clockwise the text reads top right to bottom left, oriental style. A fun typeface, though reading can require a little practice!

Burobu, in case you’d like to know, means ‘blob’ in Japanese. I thought it was quite an appropriate name for this blob-like font! An early 20th-Century French lettering book displayed at an online image sharing site stood out with a hand-lettered version of a classic Victorian font. The lettering - a spur serif top and a split serif (or "Western-style") bottom is the basis for Jeff Levine's Les Folies JNL. All of the nuances and idiosyncracies of hand-lettering are left intact.

Stone skipping creates water ripples. This font expands by the same principle. A small, narrow base growing to the top, right, bottom and left until it reaches the shores. In this case: from the mean line to the baseline and caps height with a max. of three lines. WBP Ripples is a beautiful, friendly looking and playful display font for everyday use.

Demotte is a display face constructed from triangular blocks (wedges) and some circles. It comes in two styles. In one style the triangular blocks point up so that the letters are bottom heavy, and in the other the blocks point down so that the letters are top heavy. Also included in the family is a distorted version of the design.

Alan Meeks designed the Candice typeface in 1976. A groovy swirl of a font, Candice looks like an ice cream sundae topped with whipped cream. Candace is often seen on album covers, and has come to be associated with innumerable party hits from the 1970s. One thing is for sure: Candice is a child of it's times - flashy, lively, and fun!

This sometimes-top-heavy, sometime-bottom-heavy, sometimes-centered typecase is based on an old Photolettering face designed by the irrepressible Dave West, originally called "Nickelodeon". That name was already taken, so I chose another with a nod to the 1953 film starring Leslie Caron. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

Arcadian was first produced in wood type around 1870 by William H. Page & Company. It is a semi-ornamented face based on a French Clarendon, with dots added to the median and the tops and bottoms of the letters. It has a distinctly “Old West” feel, and was likely used to add a little pizzazz to advertising and broadsides of the time.

Naïve Sans is a sans serif handwritten font designed by Fanny Coulez and Julien Saurin in Paris. Our goal was to draw a font with finely irregular lines that give a human and whimsical feeling. We drew five finely balanced weights to assure a good readability whatever the size, with contrasting upstrokes and downstrokes to add an unusual, fancy touch. We also designed five shaked versions with different lowercases and uppercases, to improve your designs and bring a more organic and playful feeling. Garuda typeface, featuring the shape and style based on "Garuda Pancasila", the state symbol of the Republic of Indonesia. Garuda is a mythical bird in the Javanese puppet stories, is very similar to the eagle. At the typeface we can find more ligatures beside than the standard. Within Garuda at least encoded 792 glyphs per weight onto major codepage: win 1252, 1250, 1254, 1257 including Mac OS Roman. It is containing more OpenType features such as swash, contextual alternate, stylistic, figures/number, and a few bit ornaments. The typeface has a pretty good readability and legibility even in small sizes. So it is useful for short texts (text length? Whom fear) for print and screen material. Usage on headlines, posters, titles, or something like that, can utilize ornament lines as a sweetener. An attempt to go back towards the beauty of fine book printing, inspired in Britain's literary classics. Athelas takes full advantage of the typographic silence, that white space in the margins, between the columns, the lines, the words, the lettershapes and finally, within the characters themselves. It is also intended to take advantage of the great advances and technical developments made in offset printing. Athelas shows its best side in finely crafted book editions and good printing conditions. Athelas has a large character set that covers most of the languages that use the Latin script. Although inspired in British literature, this typeface respects the cultural values behind different languages, where diacritic marks have an utterly important role. Lemonite (Regular and Expanded) is a self examination in whether, after five years without attempting to design any new fonts, I was still capable of creation. Lemonite is the result, and even though its plain, it showed me I could still work. I have made two of the face free to anyone who wishes to have a look, so please feel free, no obligations, to take them and use them if you have a use. Why so long ? Well, we do age, and with age comes the usual benefits, like Glaucoma and a touch of Arthritis in the old digits, and that's made computer work a little… interesting for me over the past couple of years.
