Noir et Blanc began as a proposed logo for a new Broadway production of Moulin Rouge and ended up as a challenge to find how bold a stroke weight could still be beautifully legible. Now that it is complete, we hope it will have the chance to become noir et blanc et rouge partout.

Upperclass was a font I created back in 1995. I had a brainstorm about the uppercase letter “A”. I noticed that the cross bar for the letter A is always toward the bottom, what if I moved it toward the top. The result is a unique font, a great addition to your font collection.

Guglia is an extra textura typeface ispired by the gothic architecture shapes and in particular to his vertical extremization based on a rigid scheme, like the calligraphy of that period. To honor its 25 years existence, we celebrate this happening with a brand-new font, ‘America Line’. A tribute to Wim ten Broek, the multi-talented Dutch Graphic Designer. As early as the 1930’s before the Second World War, Wim ten Broek made the famous posters for the Holland-America Line. The influence of A.M. Cassandre here in, is clearly recognizable. Wim ten Broek also worked for HAL with large surfaces and fixed lines in which primary colors dominate, accentuated with shadows acquired by spraying technique. He also made graphic works for, among others, the World Exhibition in New York, the Dutch railway company ‘Werkspoor’ and the royal Dutch steel factory ‘Hoogovens’. His drawings and lettering gave me a love for the trade and naturally gave me a completely different view on fonts. That’s how I slowly but surely made my way to the trade. Based on the letters I had at my disposal from the Holland – America Line poster, I started to complete the alphabet in the same style as the original text. I digitized everything in order to acquire a usable and modern font. Sharquefin is a round, constructed display face, which contains shark fin-like elements that rise out from part of its letterforms. Gary Tennant, a designer from the UK, designed Sharquefin especially for fun uses, like party flyers.

BR Sonoma is a new geometric grotesque built for the 21st century with a finely tuned modern aesthetic. BR Sonoma builds on the foundations laid by the classic Swiss grotesques such as Helvetica and Univers but combines their features with a stronger geometric base usually found in other early classics such as Avant Garde, Futura and Avenir.

Eshajori is an elegant and soft serif font. The primary challenge in designing this font was finding a balance between complexity and simplicity, while ensuring it could be used on both computer screens and in print. Another challenge was achieving harmony between the characters, punctuation, and numerals, creating a visually appealing and playful visual vocabulary overall.

'Old letterHand' is a very legible handwritten script font, created with a fine brush pen. The font was made with old style lettered ads in mind but it is has a modern look. It features a couple of ligatures, alternate characters and a few swashes for you to play around with. Related fonts are fourHand and blackHand.

Gafata is a font designed for small sizes in medium-long text, mixing elegance and readability causing it to have great applicability in books, magazines and web pages. In the process of finding the finest legibility, particular features emerged making this whimsical sans serif different from the rest, creating an original mark to the text its applied to.

ITC Temble was designed by Andreu Balius and draws influences from the European mediaeval period of King Arthur. ITC Nora was designed by James Montalbano when he was on a 1930s sign-lettering kick, poring over showcard manuals to find inspiration for new typeface designs. A few letters led him to create this informal, goofy" script, which falls between the many formal scripts and the completely extravagant. ITC Nora displays a free-flowing openness and elegance."

Based on a mid 20th century retro typestyle, Average Joe is anything but average! You might even find that it breaks the rules and is somewhat of a rebel.
