The typeface was baptized as “Caldense" in order to honor the city of Caldas da Rainha, a small city in Portugal, the typography's birth place. It has three weights, Regular, Demi Bold and Bold and it is a stencil font, sans serif and grotesque. Each character was based on a grid and was built in modules, having round edges and straight finishes. The font is best used in titles.

The Hybi5 font family can be described as a “crossover” between Antiqua, Grotesque and Brushscript with characteristics from all of this genres. My aim was to design friendly and versatile fonts, which can be used for headlines or slogans as well as for some longer texts. To make the fonts useful for as many languages as possible, I added a lot of exotic accents. All styles contain the whole “Adobe Latin 3 (CE)” character set plus a few letters from “Adobe Latin 4”. A lot of ligatures prettify the look of the fonts. Alternate uppercase letters in the script style might do the same. If you are a professional designer, you will surely appreciate the thousands of kerning pairs within each style, which will make your work easier. I recommend to set Kerning to “metric” and spacing to “zero” in your layout app. Back in 2015 I worked on the first sketches of “Hybi5” using Adobe Illustrator. “Fontself Maker”, an extension for Illustrator, was used to convert the drawings into font-files. This tool can only create “OTF” font files. For this reason there are no “TTF” versions. It’s not the first font I have ever made, but the first to be distributed commercially.

Bandung is home to numerous examples of Dutch colonial architecture, most notably the tropical Art Deco architectural style. This typeface was adapted from the finest Art Deco landmarks and signage in Bandung, Indonesia and strongly added native elements of traditional Art Deco typefaces style. The main character is an example of a harmonious mixture between West and East architectural styles, repackaged into the Art Deco type design. With two different styles, it comes as regular and Deco styles, the regular style is constructed with all caps setting, with some different characters between uppercase and lowercase. The Deco style uses more stripes in the right shapes, it was naturally inspired with the most common art deco typefaces. A bold but nevertheless pleasant black-letter font which was released for the first time about 1840 by the Haenel'sche Printshop and Letterfoundery in Berlin. Haenel Fraktur contains a bunch of useful ligatures, and by typing 'N', 'o' and period you get an old style number sign by activating the Ordinals feature.

Auldroon was inspired by the pseudo-medieval fonts that were fairly popular in the late 19th century. Auldroon comes in two variants. Cordel is the first digital typeface created by the founder of Tipos do aCASO in 1998. Its design refers to the unique woodcuts features used to illustrate the covers of old cordeis, pamphlets of Brazilian northeastern popular poetry. This unicase font presents irregular widths and spacing, a caricature of those woodcut graphics.

An original display typeface designed by Andrey Belonogov. It was originally named Rouble and under this name it was awarded a first degree diploma of the Typefaces nomination at the “Graphite” Graphic Design Festival, 1999, and a diploma at the ATypI International Type Design Contest “Bukva:raz!”, 2001. Released by ParaType in 2008.

Richfont Bold is the bold version of my handwriting. I always felt that I had unique handwriting. When I was learning how to design fonts, the first font I made was Richfont Medium, which Bitstream is selling. The Bold version is the perfect companion to the medium version, which is offered at Bitstream.

Based on lettering from Eric Gill for the British bookseller WH Smith, Colins Banks made the Gill Facia family for Monotype in 1996. This lettering from Eric Gill was one of the first alphabets that was used for corporate branding. Gill Facia is an elegant signage face for advertisements and for displays.

Bellucci is the redesign of Ramiro Espinoza's first typeface, Mabella. Being not happy with the original design, he decided to redraw it completely and add 3 new weights. Bellucci is a constructivist, modular, compressed family intended for headlines and posters. The name is an homage to Mabel Bellucci, an Argentinian feminist activist.

Dragonblood is quite an unusual font: it was made with Parker ink and a Chinese fur brush. When all the glyphs had been vectorized, and I saw them in a text for the first time, the only appropriate name I could think of was Dragonblood. Dragonblood comes with a realm of diacritics.

Superstar Grotesk is a free interpretation of the first Cyrillic versions of Royal Grotesk and Akzidenz Grotesk, later the "Roublennaya" typeface is the same irremovable pop artist who lingered in the top of the typographic charts until the digital era, and formed the image of the Cyrillic alphabet in the 20th century.

At first glance Parking Lot Stencil JNL look quite similar to many sans stencil fonts, but rest assured there are numerous subtle nuances that give the typeface its own unique flavor. Zebra was originally designed by Karlgeorg Hoefer in 1965 for the Stempel foundry in Germany. This unique font was designed as a two-color script face and is now available digitally for the first time. Morris Fuller Benton started the Bodoni revival with this version for ATF in the early years of the 20th century. We consider it the first accurate revival of a historical face for general use. Sturdy and a little mechanical in the 19th century tradition, this is the Bodoni series familiar to us all.

There is often a need to have original and personal backgrounds over pieces of design. This is the first dingbats font by Argentina Lian Types. Each glyph was designed to be part of a pattern. However, they could work as separated glyphs to decorate artworks and also to act as punctuation symbols.

Inspired by the mechanical typewriter, Monoela interprets its characteristics in a contemporary way — whether in body text or emphasis. Despite being a non-proportional typeface, Monoela guarantees good legibility, both for man and machine. Matter-of-factly and rational at first sight, Monoela's character becomes visible in striking shapes and unexpected proportions.

Dead Mementro typeface (ex Dead Metro) has simple and strong shapes. It is a little bit narrow sans serif typeface with brutal constructions of characters. The first edition of typeface — Dead Metro — was realised in 1998 as the part of Garbage Type Foundry project. Now Dead Mementro has more characters and styles.

Egyptian Ornamented is a decorative font based on the shapes found in a French Clarendon. Serifs are chunky and bifurcated, and “spurs” have been added to the strokes. This font emits the feeling of Old West wanted posters, rodeo broadsides, etc. It was first introduced by William H. Page & Company in 1870.
