Goudy Modern/Open was designed by Frederic Goudy, who was inspired by the caption of a French engraving. It is Goudy's first attempt at a "modern" face, but with less contrast and rigidity normally found in Bodoni style Modern faces. Goudy Modern was designed later in 1918 after viewing a proof of Goudy Open with the line filled in. Not a true modern face, but still a Goudy classic. The Pro versions include ligatures, varieties of numerals and Central European character sets.

The BD Roylac typeface has its roots in some lowercase glyphs drawn by Jacques Loison in 1972. Some of these characters are included in the use of stylistic alternates. Filed under a retro-futuristic design the font separates two filled shapes by a thin and curvy line; sometimes following to the path leaning readability and sometimes interfere with it. The font is dedicated to the BD fanboy Monsieur «Eric de Broche des Combes» aka «Roy La Combe» to his fiftieth anniversary.

A tessellation is a shape that can be used to completely fill the plane—simple examples are isosceles triangles, squares, and hexagons. Tessellation patterns are eye-catching and visually appealing, which is the reason that they have long been popular in a variety of decorative situations. These Tessie fonts have two family members, a solid style that must have different colors when used and an outline style. They can be used separately or they can be used in layers with the outline style on top of the solid style. For rows to align properly, leading must be the same as point size. TessieOddsNEnds contains shapes that did not fit into the other Tessie fonts: TessieStandingBirds, TessieFlyingBirds, TessieMoreBirds, TessieXtraBirds, TessieSpinners, TessiePuzzlePieces, TessieAnimals, TessieBugs, TessieMiscellaneous, and TessieMoreStuff. Lunanic is a geometric novelty typeface family with a touch of graffiti. The letters are formed from a circle with a notch or nick taken out, a shape that reminds me of a partial lunar eclipse. Half of the family have the nick on the left and half on the right. The faces are monospaced and so tightly spaced that there is no space between most of the letters so the filled styles cannot be used alone without tweaking. There are several ways to tweak them to make them readable: adjacent letters can be colored differently, the characters spacing can be increased, or an outlined style can be layered on top of the filled letters. The family does not have a true lower case. Most of the characters in the lower-case slots are alternates for those on the upper-case keys and they can be mixed in whatever way the user finds best. The family has twelve members: two orientations with three weights each and each of these six has an outline style to go with it. Lunanic is fun, bizarre, weird, and obviously a decorative display font.

Comalle is an organic typeface that rescues some elements of handwritten script, but its stroke does not necessarily answer to a literal calligraphy structure. So Comalle could produce a powerful impact on the page, it was designed with thicker strokes than its counter forms. The objective is that the black of the letter fills the page and causes a fastest visual impact than typographies that balance blacks and whites. One of the most important tasks of the Comalle design was to think of how to handle the unequal percentages of blacks and whites in the typeface. The peculiar thing, is that the precision work of the letter does not make the blacks, but the whites; this is the reason why in one first instance it was very valid to start off designing in a very gross way, nevertheless, the majority energies are put in the details of the design of counter space. From the drained filling concept of forms Comalle was born, a typeface that pretends to enchant with its delicate counter space design and to impact with the heavy outlines which compose its form.

Vacui Inspired by the Latin phrase "Horror Vacui", translating to "fear of empty space", the Vacui typeface ironically portrays the meaning from a different perspective. Originally intended to fill an entire surface, this typeface playfully illustrates an alternate reality, embracing space in a new minimal form. The modern aesthetic utilises white space to suggest the shapes and curves of letters that we are familiar with, connecting the dots on a subconscious level while introducing new breathing room to the flow of characters and phrases.

Golden Ticket is a digitization of hand-drawn poster lettering by Otto Heim from 1925. The regular style is meant to be used on its own, but the other three styles are meant to be used one on top of another in three different colors to create a 3D effect. For best results, put the base style on the bottom, with the fill style directly on top of that in a different color, and the highlight style directly on top of that in a third color.

As recently as forty years ago, computers consisted of racks of vacuum tubes, each rack about the size of a refrigerator, with enough racks to fill a good-sized family room required to do routine data processing. This font is based on a monospaced typeface used on a lineprinter from that time, the Unisys 0776. Although its origins are strictly retro, the face retains a timeless techno edge, even today. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Coche is a different kind of work from Koziupa and Paul. It is a connected script with a strong corporate feeling that aims to fill a gap in modern product branding. The handprinted Geometrix font family is an alternative to the usual distressed typeface. Rather than drawing on a sans-serif style and tearing it to shreds, Geometrix provides an intresting and compelling set of shapes which ties into a nice worn effect. The Geometrix font family consists of two fonts; Geometrix and Geometrix Nero. Geometrix and Geometrix Nero can be used together to create a fill for Geometrix's letters, by layering Geometrix above a differently coloured Geometrix Nero in your image editor of choice.

The hands in this font are the pointing, counting, threatening, signaling, demonstrating and playing hands I use in my own design projects. I have drawn them all with a felt-tip marker, scanned and digitized for use in a font. This picture font is more user-friendly than having single ps-files. Avimode is bold, sharp, and futuristic. An original CubicType design with a design inspired by the holes and tracks on printed circuit boards. Text set in Avimode fills almost all the space available to it, and has small details. During the 2019 "36 Days of Type" we created a leafy letter for each day. After the project finished we decided it wouldn't be the end and translated those letters into a workable font we named "Dias de Follaje". We also added a whole range of additional glyphs to cover the extended Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek scripts as well as filling in the punctation. This font was inspired by the title logo of the TV show The Wild Wild West (season two). The font was named after the train in the TV show. Wanderer is a combination of my Classic Tuscan Rodeo Clown font and a Robust Slab Serif font. Wanderer is available as a stand alone font or with the optional fill fonts. Zart is a heavy yet delicately sensitive display typeface filled with character, a free interpretation of the classical French styles from the late eighteenth century, reimagined for modern use. While it’s vertical strokes carry the typical weight of this style, the thinness of the horizontal strokes is further extended into the characters with the introduction of large vertical ink traps. This allowed us to design slightly narrower letters which, coupled with shorter serifs, result in a overall darker expression, creating really impactful headlines. Initial Seals JNL was created by utilizing the typeface from Gummed Letters JNL and one of the decorative dingbats from Miscellany JNL. On the capital A-Z keys, the letters are black on a white on black seal design, while the lower case a-z keys have a seal version in solid black with white letters. Corresponding blank versions of the seals are on the left and right parenthesis keys, and the period key has a fill oval for overlaying background colors onto the black and white set.

Although brass line rules were a common feature in almost every vintage type catalog, these were recreated from those by the Franklin Type Foundry. Filling the Numerals and all Capital and Lowercase glyph slots are a total of 62 traditional Brass Rule designs, all extendable by combining with other rules, or by extending the pin line by simply typing a dash "-". Chapter 11 is a pseudo-random typewriter font with the ribbon on the fritz. The single font contains four different character sets of varying ranges. If your program supports advanced OpenType features, activate the contextual alternates to see the ghost in the machine while you type. Otherwise, character variations are accessible through any character map or glyph palette, so you can manually mix and match your setting. The BrightIdeas family contains two novelty fonts that have letters on light bulbs. The fonts have some characters on standing bulbs and some on hanging bulbs and these two sets are made to alternate with the OpenType contextual alternatives (calt) feature. To use only one set of bulbs, this feature must be turned off and character spacing adjusted. The family contains a style with clear bulbs and one with filled bulbs. They can be used in layers to add color. Both are monospaced. The characters on the bulbs are derived from the font Myhota-Bold.

The 1930 Geneva Motor Show (Salon International De l'Automobile Et Du Cycle) showcased a lot of new cars, but one item in particular took my interest: the amazing art deco poster announcing the show. Lokomotiv font was based on this poster. It is a very deco-ish font, futuristic, angular, with bold squares, rounds and triangles. As I had to work with just a handful of glyphs, and needed to fill an entire font, I made up the missing ones myself. Lokomotiv, by the way, is German for Locomotive.
