This is my new, completely worked over and fine-tuned Bodoni Classic for Europe (no Greek and Cyrillic). I have added a set of elegant Swashes (B) and 2 alternating uppercase swirly Initials (C) as well as two lowercase end-letters (D). The fonts A and B have extensive kerning, which the initials (C) don't need, they are aligned to replace the standard capital letter. The lowercase end-letters (D) are aligned to replace the standard lowercase letters, so you might need to add a blank after the swirl. Morocco is a round, curvaceous font from Swiss designer Michael Parson. Many of the letterforms in Morocco are inspired by the Modern Greek alphabet. Five of the lowercase letters have additional ascenders/descenders that are not typical in the Roman alphabet (h, n, s, u, x). This experimentation continues into the uppercase as well; many capital letters in this font have been bequeathed with ascender or descender-like elements, and some capital letters, like the Q", only come up to the x-height of the lowercase letters. This experiment in type design is one of ten from Parson that has been included in the Take Type 5 collection from Linotype GmbH."

YomTov is a whimsical hebrew font. Traditional in design with a free spirit and slightly bounced. Hebrew alphabets contain 22 Hebrew letters along with five final letters which are automatically activated when used in Applications such as Apple Pages® and MicroSoft Word®. The Hebrew Letters do not contain cantillation marks very much used in everyday modern Hebrew. Designed with acomplete latin font that mirror the Hebrew letterforms. Latin lower-case letters have been replaced with smaller caps. So I made five rather odd characters for a logo for a friend… Then I thought I'd fill a couple of spare hours expanding it to a single alphabet… And some considerable time later I ended up with a whole font with full punctuation, a bunch of alternates, pretty broad international support and some OpenType features to keep things varied… There are elements of Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Lego, circuit boards and Ceefax, Memphis lamps and lab clamps, hieroglyphs, googly eyes and who knows what else… Intricate, insane, highly irregular, but somehow it hangs together… Throw down a few letters nice and big when the fancy takes you…

TT Octas is a narrowly proportioned font family built upon the principle of octagonal forms: all circles in this font family are actually octagons. The origins of Bookman Old Style lie in the typeface called Oldstyle Antique, designed by A C Phemister circa 1858 for the Miller and Richard foundry in Edinburgh, Scotland. Many American foundries made versions of this type which eventually became known as Bookman. Monotype Bookman Old Style roman is based on earlier Lanston Monotype and ATF models. The italic has been re drawn following the style of the Oldstyle Antique italics of Miller and Richard. Although called “Old Style,” the near vertical stress of the face puts it into the transitional category. The Bookman Old Style font family is a legible and robust text face.

Prelo was designed to be a neutral, highly readable typeface, for identity, editorial and information design. With nine weights and nine true italics, from Hairline to Black, Prelo is a workhorse typeface, full of OpenType features such as Small Caps, Tabular Figures, Central Europe characters and Historical Figures, among others. Like other DSType fonts, most of the diacritics were designed to fit the gap between the x-height and the caps height, avoiding some common problems with the accented characters. The curves are soft and smooth, providing legibility, even in very poor conditions and the neutrality allows this typeface to be used with any serif companion.

Draughtwork is a special decorative font designed to have the look of a work in progress, showing the process of constructing letters using a ruler and a compass on a grid. It's in the tradition of our very popular Roughwork font, but more detailed and with additional features. Unlike Roughwork, Draughtwork includes a full upper and lower case character set plus some special alternate character variants. Developing Draughtwork was a monstrous task. The complexity of the 9x9 grids with each character were a challenge to the rendering capacity of Fontographer and required an extraordinary amount of fine tuning - but the result was worth the effort.

Named for the island that I had the pleasure of calling home for four years, Samui Script is a lovingly made, hand-lettering-style, script font, with a bouncy baseline and exuberant character. Taking mid 20th century commercial lettering as its inspiration, it is no revival, or pale imitation of past forms. This font can be as contemporary as you need it to be, or as retro, or somewhere in between. The Daytona™ typeface family grew out of a desire to provide improved fonts for use in televised sporting events. Jim Wasco drew the design as sturdy squared letters based on humanist shapes and proportions. Letters were kept narrow for economy of space, and inter-character spacing was established for easy reading. While televised sporting events may have initially been his target, the design considerations he incorporated into the Daytona family also enabled it to perform well in a variety of other video and on screen environments. Someone recently pointed out that May and June are the wedding season months, and that while we have some excellent fonts for non-traditional weddings (celtic and renaissance styles work well), we don't have a straightforward, elegant engraver style font. That's the kind of shortcoming we can remedy, hence our Belphebe font, which is in the tradition of popular wedding invitation fonts like Rook, but has some antique characteristics which are in the Scriptorium tradition. The kerning on this font was a real challenge, because we wanted all the characters to fit together for a flowing, hand-lettered look, but the results are worth it.

Stubby Rough is a display type family with 4 styles, inspired by the vernacular landscape. It was made for titles, headlines and also packages, posters and everything that provide space for a rude, fat and widish type. Nonetheless it can be a type for text if you are looking for an informal shape, with eleven styles mixing from a narrowed thin to a sloppy ultrabold. Stubby has a tight spacing looking to fit in squeeze places, trying to simulate some real spirit of the botecos from Brazil, always serving very cold beer in stubby brown bottles. Stubby Rough is a distressed version of the original Stubby.
