This family was created inspired from the first font carved and cast in France, for the Sorbonne University’s printing workshop (Paris). The characters were drawn by Jean Heynlin, rector of the university - inspired from Pannartz’s - and in all probability was carved by Adolf Rusch. It has only one style, in one size (about 14 Didots points). We have added the U, J, W and Y, some accented characters and others not in use in the original, but the standard and historical ligatures and the numerous Latins abbreviations are these of the original font. Lively, friendly and fun. Blackcurrant is derived from a poster campaign Rian Hughes designed for the youthful Japanese woman's outfitters, Yellow Boots. The original logo formed the basis of the Black version; the narrower Squash version was added fro the commercial release. The lower case was added two years later due to popular demand. In 2010 the font was further accessorised with extensive ligatures, made possible with the then-new Opentype technology.

Kowalski2 is a decorative, serif, hand-drawn font. Nazhdak is a handwriting sans serif of three styles sketched with a felted pen and digitized afterwards. Designed in 2001 under the impression of Erik van Blockland's FF Kosmik typeface. Nazhdak is searching and investigating boundaries between regular and irregular typefaces. In spite of ragged letterforms and general laxity the face is rather good for small sizes, and in large sizes it completely shows its crude fascination. The main destinations are small informal text compositions and display typography. Nazhdak was designed by Zakhar Yaschin and released by ParaType in 2009.

Rhaetic or Raetic (/ˈriːtɪk/), also known as Rhaetian, was a Tyrsenian language spoken in the ancient region of Rhaetia in the eastern Alps in pre-Roman and Roman times. It is documented by around 280 texts dated from the 5th up until the 1st century BC, which were found through northern Italy, southern Germany, eastern Switzerland, Slovenia and western Austria, in two variants of the Old Italic scripts. Rhaetic is largely accepted as being closely related to Etruscan.

Thirty years after its first appearance, Jovica Veljović has produced ITC New Veljovic Pro, a completely revised edition of his first typeface, ITC Veljovic (1984). Prof. Veljović has tapped into all the experience he has garnered over the past decades; by carefully adjusting the proportions of the characters he has provided the new typeface with a more harmonious presence. The serifs have been subtly curtailed and the letters made slightly more condensed. Some new features of ITC New Veljovic are the double-story “g” with its completely closed loop and the more open forms of the “c” and “e”. In the italic variants, the latter is much rounder. Thanks to Veljović’s outstanding work, the optimized ITC New Veljovic can now be used in all contemporary applications. The new Condensed style saves considerable space when it comes to setting longer texts. The Display versions show off the striking, crystal-clear shapes of the design at their best in larger point sizes.

New Age Gothic is an original design by Alex Kaczun. It is a contemporary gothic design based on generous proportions and clean crisp lines. Ideally suited for easy reading and long lines of copy. The concept for the design came from a previously successful font family Contax Pro. Alex felt that the skeleton for Contax Pro was ideally suited to modify the design into a true gothic companion typeface series. Numerous modifications where made to the body proportions, stems and shapes. Serifs where added reminiscent to Copperplate Gothic to solidify the overall design. The result is a truly unique modern gothic font. Unlike other typefaces, New Age Gothic incorporates uniform stems throughout the capitals, lower case and figures. This gives the design a uniform appearance in overall color and strength. There is a perfect visual balance between inter-letter spacing, stem weights and proportions. The large Pro font character set, which supports most Central European and many Eastern European languages, also include small caps to compliment the old style figures. As a result, the design is ideally suited for display copy as well as text composition. In the near future, Alex plans to expand the typeface to include a broad range of weights along with italics.

ArchiLogo is not a regular outline-font. It has a stencil element to it and it’s a kind of indirect, because the font is basically the space between the lines. You have to read between the lines, so to speak. It’s like one of the key elements in architecture: the space between the walls. Here’s where type design meets architecture! The new version, ArchiLogo 3.0, has been improved slightly and 13 glyphs have been added to a total of 85 characters. It is still a free font. Goudy Forum is a revival and dramatic expansion by Tom Rickner, type designer at Ascender Corporation, of Frederic W. Goudy’s 20th typeface design, "Forum Title". The Pro font began twenty years ago while Tom Rickner was a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Tom printed a type specimen using the Forum Title foundry hot metal types. Then in 1993 Tom began to digitize the font from that specimen while working as an independent type designer. Fifteen years passed before Tom dusted off the digital data and began working in earnest on font with a full Latin 1 character set. Steve Matteson, type director at Ascender, encouraged Tom to take this font further still, and soon the glyph repertoire and feature set blossomed to a robust Pro font with a myriad of advanced typographic OpenType features.
