Hounslow is closely related to Acton in structure, and takes the latter’s simple block construction into the third dimension. Three variants – open, solid and shadow – can be freely mixed in one setting for effect. Originally designed solely in the italic variant, an upright was added by request. In the old Amsterdam neighborhood of 'De Jordaan', you will find a canal called Bloemgracht (Flower Canal). For many years, a coffee store called Schildmeijer could be found here. Their paper coffee bags and advertisements sported a hand made font which I have tried to recreate and the result is Bloemgracht typeface. It is an all caps art deco font, quite angular, but very legible and distinct. Bloemgracht comes with extensive language support.

In the years 1937 and 1938 Paul Renner drew these both styles of the Ballade font family. Now freshly redesigned and extented for contemporary use, both styles have reappeared. These fonts contain the historical long s, which can be reached by typing the integral sign [ ∫ ] or by turning the round s into the long s via using the OT feature historical forms. It is also recommended to activate the OT feature discretionary ligatures.

Lively, friendly and fun. Blackcurrant is derived from a poster campaign Rian Hughes designed for the youthful Japanese woman's outfitters, Yellow Boots. The original logo formed the basis of the Black version; the narrower Squash version was added fro the commercial release. The lower case was added two years later due to popular demand. In 2010 the font was further accessorised with extensive ligatures, made possible with the then-new Opentype technology.

Fledermaus (meaning 'Bat' in German) was a cabaret theater from Vienna. The original Jugendstil decor was designed by Josef Hoffman and several posters, advertising performances, were designed by other members of the Vienna Workshop. Fledermaus font was based on a 1907 poster by Bertold Löffler. Since only a few glyphs were available, I designed the missing ones myself. The lower case consists of small caps and the font comes with extensive language support.

Inspired by a biography of Coco Chanel and trying to capture the quintessential mood of classical fashion elegance, Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini designed Coco Gothic looking for the effect that the first geometric sans typefaces (like Futura, Kabel or the italian eponyms like Semplicità) had when printed on paper. Diaria started as a project in Typeface Architecture for Master in Advanced Typograghy at EINA, Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art de Barcelona, a course tutored by Laura Meseguer and Íñigo Jerez Quintana. Later it has developed into Diaria Pro, an extensive typeface including Cyrillic script, small caps, and various OpenType features. Diaria Pro is a low-contrast serif typeface designed as a primary text face for the newspapers. Its large x-height and static exteriors allow comfortable reading in narrow columns, and calligrafic counters as well as dynamic serifs add humanist detail to overall perception and incline contrast axis without affecting interletter counterforms. Besides extensive language support, Diaria Pro includes various OpenType features: ligatures, discretionary ligatures, small caps, 6 sets of digits, superiors, inferiors, fractions, ordinals, upper-case punctuation, and some language-specific features. Guilloches were – in the old days – used to make the falsification of banknotes more difficult. The engraving of these intricate lines was done by a highly specialized mechanical machine, which was operated by an equally highly specialized engraving artist. Once the settings for a specific curve were changed back to zero it was very difficult, if not impossible to set them back to the old design. I have designed a useful set of Guilloches that join to form ribbons that create a kind of op-art 3d effect. Under the keys A-U and a-u you find joining pieces. Under the keys V-Z and v-z I placed start- and endpieces. 0-4 are different lenght straight extensions and 5-9 are not quite so straight extensions. All other keys are corner pieces that can be used as stand-alones or put in rows to make for superb decoration.
