After inventing a new metal typecasting procedure that allowed for the production of more detailed typefaces, the famous German typefoundry D. Stempel AG developed Kuenstler Script in 1902 - 1903. In 1957, Hans Bohn added the heavy Kuenstler Script Black weight to the family.
