The Irongate Font Family has a retro personality. The common denominators, in all the glyphs, is a blunt center serif. The main top & bottom of each Cap & lower case glyphs have 'fan serifs', yep serifs that fan out. This font's influence is based on a monogram I designed for my daughter's wedding where she described her image of the event being 'Classic with a Vintage Flair'. Irongate can be pictured on many things dated from 1918 - 2018. The font is available in 4 basic weights Light, Regular, Bold & Extra Bold. Albe Sans is a font family that began life when I was struck by a full-color back page ad in a 1935 copy of Better Homes & Gardens. I loved the readability and general cleanliness of the design. This font is drawn from memory after that experience. It is loosely based on Palton for proportion, but heaviily modified (not to mention, Palton is serif): Lower case numbers, Euro, ballot box in the section slot.

We Love Nature Summer Flowers is a picture font inspired by a late summer visit to an organic flower farm in the south of England. The farm specializes in growing local seasonal flowers for lovely bouquets and arrangements. This picture font features 52 hand-drawn illustrations inspired by these flowers. The contemporary flower illustrations can used on their own or in combination with the other illustrations in the We Love Nature font collection to create striking designs.

For our modern/futuristic fonts collection we wanted something truly science fictional, so Dave Nalle designed the Alecto font, an original design with a futuristic look, but some echoes of the type designs and lettering of the Arts & Crafts period. It looks much more modern, but you can see echoes of some of our other fonts like Semiramis in the design. Alecto features multiple versions of many of the characters to make it ideal for designing logos and titles.

This family was created inspired from the two sets of rough initials fonts used by the famous William Caxton in Westminster (GB) in the late 1400’s. As it was normal for the time, there were not any differences between I and J, U and V. It is not a mistake. We have reconstructed the few other missing characters. This font was conceived as a supplement for our 1479 Caxton but may be used with all our Blackletters fonts.

I love riding English double decker buses! I haven’t been on one lately, but for some reason I had an image of a red double decker bus in my head when I made this font. Doubledecker is a bold, cartoon-like, handmade font. It comes in regular and dots, plus a bonus doodle font called Doubledecker Stuff. Use it for any design that needs a tad of loud, a pinch of unusual and a wee bit of polka.

A font by Christian Acker (2003), based upon the practice of the Americana folk art tradition of tattoo design. Throughout the late 19th and 20th Centuries sailors would popularize and spread motifs, designs and styles by carrying this art around the world on their sleeves. A family of four fonts representing traditional styles is now available as a digital font. Piercing is part of a series of typographic experiments from the young Swiss designer Michael Parson. In the Piercing family, which contains three separate weights, Parson has successfully transformed the movements of points and lines into a fabulous display of alphabets. But you can use Piercing as your key to the techno scene: these letters, made up of fine lines terminated by dots, virtually groove with the beat as you set them in text. Like a musical score, they provide a fantastic look just right for your next flyer. Piercing is one of ten experiments in constructed letter design that Parson has included in the Take Type 5 collection from Linotype GmbH."

British designer Bob Newman's Horatio family is a delightful look back into the modernists experiments of the 1920s. This geometric sans serif design was created in 1971, and was originally released by Letraset. We are please to offer the family in digital form, in light, medium, and bold weights. Many designers during the 1920s were interested in reforming the alphabet, and wanted to reconcile letterforms with the machine and manufacturing technology of the age. Herbert Bayer at the Bauhaus was one of many designers who developed a universal alphabet," creating letters using only the simplest of geometric forms. Similar experiments in 1920s-style revivals were also created during the 1970s, most notably Herb Lubalin's ITC Avant Garde Gothic."

An exuberant typeface named "African Queen", designed by Dave West for Photolettering in the 1960s, provided the inspiration for this exercise in typographic minimalism. The result is stark and somewhat raw, with a unique muscular energy...a natural choice for headlines that will attract attention. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin and 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan) character sets.

Eckhardt Casual JNL was modeled from an example of poster lettering found in a 1941 Speedball® Lettering Pen instruction book. The font is named in honor of Jeff Levine's good friend, the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr. (owner of Allied Signs in Miami, Florida until his passing) and is one of a number of releases with a "sign painter" theme that comprise the "Eckhardt Series".

Disclosure is suggestive of low-grade digital output, screen displays, fax machines, or high-speed data transfer. It is missing vertical sections, perhaps due to a faulty print head or signal degradation. It is intentionally monospaced — each letter has the same width, like a typewriter — and unkerned. Suitable for uses where an unfussy urgency and drama is required. Developed from the 112 Hours numbers-only font, Throughput.

This bouncy beauty was inspired by Walnetto Casual, designed by Dave West for Photo-Lettering, Inc. in the 1970s, and takes its name from a mythical West Texas beastie. This version has been thoughtfully designed to use Contextual Alternates to avoid unsightly serif collisions for best possible visual effect. Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

Karaoke JNL is one of the many alphabets created by the late Alf R. Becker that was showcased in Signs of the Times magazine from the 1930s through the 1950s. Thanks to Tod Swormstedt of ST Media (and who is the curator of the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio) for providing Jeff Levine the research material from which this font design was modeled.

With all of the stencil fonts created by Jeff Levine from various vintage sources, you would think everything had already been covered. Not so. Along comes Amateur Stencil JNL. Modeled from a child's stencil set from the late 1950's or early 1960's, it vaguely resembles Futura, but its irregular widths and semi-stencil appearance sets it off greatly from that classic typeface.

General Chang JNL is one of a number of fonts redrawn by Jeff Levine from the creative output of the late Alf R. Becker. Becker's alphabets were a monthly feature of Signs of the Times Magazine from the 1930s through the 1950s. Thanks to Tod Swormstedt of ST Media (who also is the curator of the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio) for the resource material.

Liebling (in English: Sweetheart) was developed according to the sans serif font Mein Schatz with the purpose of having two typefaces which match perfectly. The contrast between thicks and thins was set very low. Just enough to contrast with same-weight Mein Schatz. One of the typeface’s characteristic features, also like its partner, is the availability of ligatures within an expert set. Liebling offers the characters sh, sp, st, ty among others and alternative letters for v and w. The majuscules of the expert set have curved elements allowing the designer to put the typeface to a highly individualistic use for displays and headlines. Another feature of the typeface are two different figure systems. In addition to the old style figures for use in continuous text, Liebling offers regular table figures within the expert set.

The original Graphique Pro was designed by the famous Swiss designer Hermann Eidenbenz in 1945 and included one outline shadow style. His idea of a very narrow, very economic headline font became increasingly more popular over the last decades and since the recent trend of layered fonts his idea is more up-to-date than ever. profonts studio now took the idea of the Graphique Pro to its next level: Graphique Pro Next. The chestnut ("castanea") is one of my favorite trees. I used to collect the chestnuts and made chestnut-figurines out of them, using bamboo sate skewers. Castanea font is a calligraphic typeface with an uneven baseline and some messy characters - not unlike the tree. It is a highly legible, highly enjoyable font and could be used for children's books and postcards. Castanea comes with various alternate glyphs and speaks most Roman-based languages!

Zeta was developed by Roy Cole, the British typographer and book designer. It is his second typeface family, completed in 2006, and comprises six fonts. As with his other typeface families - Lina, Colophon and Coleface - Zeta is a sans-serif typeface, particularly notable for its fluidity and strong legibility. Whilst the proportions of Zeta are derived from classical models, the letter forms themselves are totally modern in concept. For example, when used for blocks of text little line spacing is needed to achieve good readability. Zeta is conceived as an easy reading typeface presenting an up-to-date impression wherever it is utilized. Due to its origins it really comes into its own when used for book design.

A long lost Art Nouveau wood type from the Hamilton Museum Collection evokes the excesses of Victorian design and the equally quirky 1960s Psychedelic era revival of the Victorian type styles. Free flowing organic designs that flourished with Art Nouveau in the late 1800s were directly referenced and further distorted with with phototype in the late 1960s. This design, known as Arabesque, was produced by the Morgans & Wilcox Co. and the Wm. Page Co. as almost identical designs. Both manufacturers were acquired by Hamilton and offered briefly by Hamilton as design #618. This curious wood type defies most of the basic tenets of type design and what comes to mind when one thinks "wood type". Many characters have a lively eccentricity that were all left true to the original design. Additional characters were designed to fill out the standard range of characters found in digital fonts. Tallahassee Chassis JNL was modeled from a toy alphabet rubber stamp set made in Japan and imported to the U.S. during the late 1950s and early 1960s. The lettering style somewhat resembled that found on the side of old railroad cars, buses or trolleys.
