Eckhardt Relaxed JNL was modeled from an example of a casual, hand lettered alphabet from a page of a vintage textbook. Tautier is a display font based on the specimen of Enge Mediaeval-Antigua, published in 1900 from the Bauer Type Foundry. It is intentionally redrawn to keep its overall narrow proportions. Based on the existing basic alphabets, Tautier is redrawn to appear more classical and friendly, as you can notice in the rounded corners around the beaks, as well as the lachrymal terminals in lowercases. Calypso I (Italian) draws its inspiration from type founders' plentiful show-off-letters, which were typical on title pages and lithographs in the early 19th century. It borrows luscious details from these but inherits a stiff modern backbone from its parent, Calypso E (Egyptian). Within the Calypso type family all fonts share the same dimensions and work together consistently. Calypso I supports many languages and includes, for example, four sets of basic numerals, circled numbers, alternative characters, case sensitive forms and dingbats. The font DXAngelusMediaval was developed on the basis of the Angelus Mediaval font, which was issued by Russian type foundry from the beginning of the 20th century (type foundry of G. Bertgold, St. Petersburg and Moscow, before 1904). Probably, the font is a reworking of the DeVinne font (1892 (?), Designer Nicholas J. Werner) of the American Central Type Foundry. For the reconstruction, we used examples of font prints: Cyrillic from the catalog "Art Fonts", 1929, Latin part - Chicago font, from the catalog "La Fonderie Typographique Francaise" (FTF) 1924. In addition, in the font are available Digits of the old style and ligature.

Binny Old Style is based on type designs originally cut in Scotland about 1863. Binny Old Style shows the influence of the types cut by William Caslon but was an attempt to make a modernized version by eliminating some of Caslon's more archaic features. It was cut by some American foundries at the end of the nineteenth century and by Lanston Monotype for mechanical composition, in 1908. Binny Old Style was named after Archibald Binny, a Scotsman who established a type foundry in Philadelphia in 1796. The lettering for Stencil Box JNL was found on the packaging of a children's toy stencil set circa the 1940s. Popular for years, Pencil Stencils were a series of "connect the line" stencils where a series of dashed lines were traced from the cutouts and the lines connected to complete pictures of animals or other subjects. Although the packaging itself was often updated to reflect the current times during the life of the product, it was this hand-lettered example of stencil-meets-Art Deco from the 40s that proved worthy of saving as a digital typeface.

Maggot is crazy geometric display typeface. First 36 characters were designed during #36daysoftype 2021. Each letter of the typeface fits into a square composed of 49 modules. Maggot contains 112 letters - Basic Latin, Western, Central and South Eastern European diacritics. Each character that contains a mark has two versions: regular, where the mark is above or below the height of the character and alternate, where character with mark is the same height as characters without marks. Maggot is a display typeface, it works best as short inscriptions, for example on vinyl and book covers, posters, T-shirts, packaging.

The Eixample project is inspired by modernist signage of various examples found in the Eixample neighbourhood in Barcelona. The name of each subfamily is related to its location or to specific elements of the original sign. In 2003 we photographed a sign with the word GLACES painted on a refrigerator, on which, over the years, we have speculated on how to manage the concept of double vertical modulation. This model has been expanded and the original idea has been developed in three variants that oscillate between monolinear and high contrast. In order to increase its versatility, the character set includes small caps.

The famous lettering “Capital Trajana” (inscription at the bottom of the column that bears its name erected in the year114 A.D.) is usually identified as the classic example that defines Imperial Capital forms. However, much earlier, there were already countless examples of Greco-Roman epigraphy of excellent execution, as evidenced by the monumental inscriptions from year 2 b.C. sculpted in the Portico di Gaio e Lucio Cesari in front of the facade of the Basilica Emilia, in the Roman Forum, erected by Augustus, dedicated to his two grandchildren for propaganda and dynastic needs. A narrow, modern Slab Serif. JOSEFOV is directly derived from the sans serif text font ”Hedwig“. Therefore, of course, it pairs best with “Hedwig”. The basic thought was to create a font with heavy rounded serifs in the style of ”Clarendon“ but which hardly reminds one of that particular font. The form principle of rounded serifs is applied whenever possible — for example at the points where the individual strokes of the characters join one another. JOSEFOV seems very technical, very constructed (and truly is). In order to soften up the rigid impression, the serifs are applied at some points contrary to the tradition handed down, as with the upper case A C G K M V W and the lower case a b d h i j k l s t. Historically there is no example of the laterally oriented serifs of capital and small s (S) and C G. On the other hand, the double-sided serifs on the stems of b d h k l appear at the beginning of modern times in the very first serif types from five hundred years ago. Broadside Text is a companion to Broadside, and is optimised for use at smaller sizes. More open counters, more generous letter-spacing and additional fractions increase legibility. The original Broadside family is suitable for headlines and larger sizes, and also comes with condensed and extended versions.
