Boston is a slightly rounded-edged typeface, which is inspired by “Trenda”—a geometric sans serif based on the uppercase of “Trend”(a Latinotype font, released in 2013, that was very well received). This new typeface comes with a wider character set that offers a complete family of uppercase and lowercase in different weights. Boston is a versatile, easy-to-use, functional display font with a strong personality, especially its uppercase, which makes the designer’s work easier. Boston’s lightest and heaviest variants are ideal for display use while its middle weights work well with short and mid-length texts. This typeface has been designed especially for corporate projects, logotypes and publishing. Boston comes in 8 weights, ranging from Thin to Heavy, and includes matching italics as well as small caps and alternates. The family contains a 634-character set that supports 206 different languages.

The first purpose of this typeface was to provide an original and systematized style of calligraphy adapted into a modern digital font. The forms are inspired by some illustrations created for a tarot card game, itself inspired by the work of Colombian literature Nobel prize winning author, Gabriel García Márquez, "Cien Años de Soledad". Early versions of this font were made in 1997, but recently in 2009 it was substantially improved. Macondo includes several cap swashes and other stylish alternates. Macondo, as original typographic proposal was selected at Tipos Latinos 2012 Biennial, now the complete set of extended range for this typeface is prepared and improved to be commercialized. The new Macondo Pro can be available with extended capabilities of OpenType, as old style numbers, Swash Caps, slashed zero, some end-position lowercase, fractions, super and sub numbers, some stylish lowercase and discretional and/or contextual ligatures. The Bix Bats symbol family was developed in 2003 by Argentinean designer Victor Garcia to complement his display text font Bix Plain. Bix Bats contains four different symbol fonts. Most of the characters in these fonts have their lower halves reversed out. Typing a line of text in these symbol fonts, or mixing these symbol fonts with Bix Plain, will create a very interesting text effect: the bottom half of your lines of text will be reversed out, on top of a colored bar. This font has sort of a rustic an ancient look, like stone carvings... Inspired by the lettering on a perfume, Halmos extrapolated a complete uppercase alphabet, and he also created a matching lowercase. This font has that grungy, gritty look, and combines it with some elegant swirls. Weird and wonderful. I just loved the design idea behind this font, but the original font had a lot of ugly artifacts - so I have completely redrawn ALL the letters, before expanding the character set. I loved the look of this font so much that I couldn't resist reworking it - although it probably had the most basic character set I've ever used as a starting point.
