An ad in the April 19, 1919 edition of Motion Picture News for the (now lost) silent drama "Josselyn's Wife" featured some wonderfully stylized Art Nouveau hand lettering. Primarily a condensed character set with rounded serifs, there are a number of letters that take liberties in both width and character shape. Jana Thork is a synthesis of stone engraved capital letterforms and uncial and half-uncial calligraphic styles. The idea of the typeface designer Ricardo Esteves was to seek for the limits between our uppercase and lowercase mental concepts. This family can be useful to compose titles, short texts, labels and letterings that need to look attractive to the eye. The family includes Regular and Bold styles, so it can be used in graphic designs that need more complex hierarchic relations or greater visual impact.

Whitehaven is the spirit of the Art Deco movement made into a very solid and blocky Sans Serif font. The name owes its inspiration to Whitehaven Mansions, a block of flats where that greatest of 1930s detectives, Hercule Poirot lived. Unlike those glorious fonts-of-old, Toppler contains a complete repertoire of symbols, dingbats and Latin Extended-A accented characters, as well as a proper lowercase, careful spacing and tasty kerning. Based on the 1922 Klingspor model by German designer Rudolf Koch, this hand-drawn quill roman has an informal and curiously delicate appearance. The typeface was known in Germany as Koch Antiqua and in the rest of Europe as Locarno. Eve, as it was called in the United States, continues to enjoy great popularity in advertising and book publishing circles. Although ITC Styleboy has a retro feel, it isn't based on any earlier typeface. As far as inspiration goes," says designer Chester Wajda, "I'd have to say comic strips of the '20s and '30s, and silent-film marquee lettering from the '20s - with a hint of a Chinese brush?" He originally created the typeface for a children's book he was working on. "I wanted it to be fun, but still somewhat formal in its underlying structure," he says. "It's largely based on right and 45-degree angles, with slight tucks inward on the stems and bowls, and a few flourishes here and there." Styleboy's top-heavy look is most noticeable in the caps, but it's exaggerated too in the "8" and the lowercase "g." Styleboy is Wajda's first typeface design."

Baumfuss and BaumfussTwo are unpolished, crude typefaces with small flared serifs and very few straight lines. They are a bit heavy to be easily readable at smaller point sizes. Baumfuss has a high x-height, while BaumfussTwo has a more conventional x-height.

Velvet is a heavy rounded block retro face inspired by the typeset album cover of the protopunk rock band The Velvet Underground’s debut. Stylistically, Velvet’s extreme angled terminals exude a sense of tension and irreverance, contrasting the smooth rounded block letter forms.

A set of vintage wood type printing blocks yielded the alphabet which was to become Chamfer Serif JNL. With its heavy vertical serifs and interesting character shapes, the design is unique when compared to the more familiar wood type offerings of the past.

ATC Duel is a strong, extra heavy multi-width sans-serif display font with sharp edges and an extended horizontal span, inspired by the automotive industry. Font contains 500+ glyphs, full alphabet, ligatures, numberals, accents and punctuation. ATC Duel was released in 2016.

FF Good is a straight-sided sans serif in the American Gothic tradition, designed by Warsaw-based Łukasz Dziedzic. Despite having something of an “old-fashioned” heritage, FF Good feels new. Many customers agree: the sturdy, legible forms of FF Good have been put to good use in the Polish-language magazine ‘Komputer Swiat,’ the German and Russian edition of the celebrity tabloid OK!, and the new corporate design for the Associated Press. Although initially released as a family of modest size, the typeface was fully overhauled in 2010, increasing it from nine styles to 30 styles, with an additional 30-style sibling for larger sizes, FF Good Headline. Four fonts — found on a map of America, created by the spanish cartographer Diego Gutiérrez and the dutch engraver Hieronymus Cock anno 1562. From the start of the digitization by Sebastian Nagel in 2005, Tierra Nueva has gone a long way. On its journey of exploration it has grown to four members of a family (regular, bold, italic and script) with an overall count of almost 3.700 characters for different languages and purposes, extensively featured with useful typographic options.
