Teaspoon was originally designed by Haley Fiege as a project-specific font in 2007, then completed and produced by Canada Type for commercial viability in 2008. Though Zigarre can easily be categorized a brush script, Jim Rimmer actually drew it using a big marker. Jim’s original face, inspired by inter-war German poster lettering, was a rough one, with the marker’s juicy ink roughing it out all over the place. The smooth version, Zigarre Script, was produced as part of a major update and remastering the design underwent in 2012. Huxley Cyrillic is based on our Huxley Amore Bold, retaining all the Western and Central European characters of the latter, while adding upper and lower case Cyrillic characters. Huxley Cyrillic, like Huxley Amore, is visually simple and direct and yet sophisticated and unexpected. Those are the qualities that give it such freshness in so many applications. This font is intended for display use. It is highly condensed and is therefore difficult to read below 18 points. It works well at 36 points, but really works best at 48 points and larger. Huxley Cyrillic has 499 glyphs. I think we should have made at least one more!

Ashbury derives its inspiration from 18th century transitional types such as Caslon and Baskerville. It is, however, not a revival but interprets formal aspects in a new and individual fashion. With a flowing outline, it remains warm and pleasant but assertive because of its solid stroke weights. It is very well equipped for a wide range of ambitious applications. Devoid is a sans serif typeface with a no frills stripped down design. The design has all the features of the neo grotesk typeface, horizontally cut endings, modern capitals, oval counters, with a bare bones appearance. The typeface comes in three subtle widths, Devoid Slim, which is spaced most narrowly, Devoid and Devoid Set, which have a wider letterspacing. There are regular, medium and bold weights with accompanying italics. The vertical metrics align across weights and widths, this allows for optical size adjustment as well as adjusting for same size text fit. Dutch designer Pier Taylor designed the typeface in 2020 for use in catalogs, lists and registers.

I wanted to make a font that resembles that feeling of not really knowing what you get served, but you got a feeling that it is something good! 100.000 years ago years ago, a group of mad scientists from the far away planet ZyrXX, encountered the earth and just waited to conquer the planet. Their masterplan was to use electronic brain waves to manipulate our minds. Sounds cheesy and comic, right? Well, that is the true story about this font. The font was built using a grid (hence the name!) and all I had in mind, was a mixture of old sci-fi movies and computer graphics from the 80ies. I did my best to recall and re-create this - I will let you be the judge to decide whether I succeeded! :)

Ames’ text is designed for use in its own right and also as a complement to our Ames’ Roman family. Ames’ text is a ‘New-Style’ Didone family offered in three weights and three widths. It is designed to embody clarity combined with contrast between horizontal and vertical strokes, but with sufficient stroke width in both directions to display well at small point sizes. All typefaces include small capital forms, new and old style numerals (and ‘small capital’ numerals for consistency). Grobek is a serif typeface inspired by Garamond and American Typewriter fonts as well as classic 15th century typefaces. They are revivals from type crafted images and they are monospaced, easy to use and to kern the way you wish.
