Barbieri is a casual sans type family, based on a German lettering style from the 1960s. The original hand-drawn alphabet was used in a rather peculiar edition of Der Barbier von Bagdad, an opera composed by Peter Cornelius. Our efforts to identify the cover designer have been, so far, unsuccessful. As fans of informal typography and popular lettering styles, we thought these few thin letters deserved a re-incarnation as a complete type family. Andrés Torresi and Marta Sánchez Marco were in charge of the production work. Now Barbieri has 6 weights suitable for packaging, posters, and music covers. It resembles a certain 'Americana' spirit, though with a Germanic twist.

As "Zenith" means, in an astronomical context, the highest point reached by a celestial body, my new typeface raises its drawing for carry it to the highest expression. In an effort to design a singular graphic and visual letters system, the contrasts and proportions of “Zenit” boosts up and are squeezed as much as possible, resulting in a very particular aesthetic, while still maintaining a certain grotesque reminiscence. Benchmark2 is a super cool serif font developed from the popular original Benchmark font. This version has been remastered in the latest font developing software and now the new version includes a lot of additional characters that are not available in the original. The original font has been used worldwide, used in Hollywood films and in products in popular clothing lines. The font works well in a variety of themes including tattoo, rebellious, street, western and vintage, to name some. The font was initially designed for use on Baseball jerseys in an effort to developed ways of creating new looks in the field of sports related graphic design.

The font SweynheymPannartz is strongly modeled after an example Conrad Sweynheym and Arnold Pannartz used in their early printing venture in Subiaco, Italy which began around 1465. Their efforts were supported by Pope Sixtus the IV after they enthusiastically printed more books than they could sell. They not only brought printing to Italy, but also developed the first Roman style type. This font has over 600 defined glyphs to cope with modern needs, and also the ability to use several abbreviations common to that period. It also has an alternate minuscule “k” more modern in appearance for those that find the original too unusual.

Conceived as an exploration of geometrical type designs of the early twentieth century, Canaro was — in its first design stages — heavily rooted in that time period. During its development and the effort to give it a modern appearance, it turned into a contemporary font with a strong historical background, defined by legibility and functionality. In addition, the lack of spurs provide a unique but unobtrusive character and support the contemporary impression. Typographic features like alternative glyphs, ligatures, oldstyle numbers, arrows, fractions and other special characters, round up the family. Canaro is available in nine weights plus matching italics. Ranging from sharp and elegant thinner cuts to sporty and athletic heavy weights.

The Trellis font family was an effort to combine my love for Art Nouveau and storybook lettering. The capital letters are intricately illustrated and fully appreciated when magnified. Trellis is a font family decidedly decorative and ready for greeting cards and holiday cheer. I was inspired by Storybook caps for the capital letters, and wanted to combine it with some lettering from early 20th century posters. What are its main characteristics and features? Leaves intertwined and growing out of the ends of the capital letters. Although it's highly decorative, it remains legible. Usage recommendations - Holiday Greetings, scrapbooking, personal seals since the capitals are quite attractive.

Draughtwork is a special decorative font designed to have the look of a work in progress, showing the process of constructing letters using a ruler and a compass on a grid. It's in the tradition of our very popular Roughwork font, but more detailed and with additional features. Unlike Roughwork, Draughtwork includes a full upper and lower case character set plus some special alternate character variants. Developing Draughtwork was a monstrous task. The complexity of the 9x9 grids with each character were a challenge to the rendering capacity of Fontographer and required an extraordinary amount of fine tuning - but the result was worth the effort.

Android is an experimental 3D shadow outline font developed by the American type designer Alex Kaczun. The unique lighting created by the beveled edge in combination with an outline font was particularly difficult to create. But the result was worth the effort. Android makes for a powerful headline display that virtually pops off the page. There is a true three dimensional quality to this innovative new typeface. Use the regular Android when setting tight leading for smaller point sizes, and use Android Tall which has taller capitals for larger headlines. By experimenting with Type Effects in Illustrator or PhotoShop you can achieve some spectacular additional 3D effects.

Huxley Alt is just that — an alternative to Huxley Vertical by ATF. It represents one of my earliest efforts. I liked the crispness of Huxley Vertical, but wanted a lowercase and with some modulation of the strokes as in Empire, also by ATF. Huxley Alt is the result. Highly condensed. Cleveden was inspired by some lettering sighted on a neglected and somewhat tarnished brass plaque, affixed to an elderly office building. The elegance and character (somehow playful and formal at the same time) of the letterforms shone through the tarnished state of the plaque. As an aside the brass plaque in question was on the former business premises of a long established firm of accountants. We suspect the ethics of that profession would preclude us identifying which one. Our efforts to identify their engraver have proven unavailing. Cleveden is a family of four typefaces, Regular, Bold, Capitals and Capitals Bold. HS Albasim A is an Arabic display typeface. It is useful for headlines, books covers and other graphic projects. It is a collaborative effort, as "HS Albasim A" first letters were designed and drawn by Basim Salem Al Mahdi from Iraq and then developed and digitalized as a typeface by Hasan AbuAfash from Palestine. The font is based on the simple lines of Fatmic Kufi but was it distinguished by two main ideas: First, it contains a nice serf in the vertical strokes of its letters. The second, some of storks in its letter differ in the thickness instead of being similar, as it is in the Fatmic Kufi style. The font contains only two weights: regular and bold. Both of them support the OpenType features of Arabic, Persian and Urdu.

Aphrosine is a font based on pointed pen script. A huge lot of alternatives and smart OpenType features allow it to look almost indistinguishable from real live handwriting. Aphrosine is something between handwriting and calligraphy: it took too much effort for being “just handwriting” but lacks seriousness and regularity comparing to true calligraphic fonts. That’s why it was called after a peculiar character from a children’s book: a witch who was very fond of dressing, makeup and writing letters. Aphrosine has three faces. But unlike most other type families, the glyphs from one face do not match exactly the glyphs from another one. The faces are based on writing with different nibs but by the same hand. The type is designed by Alexandra Korolkova and Alexander Lubovenko and released by ParaType in 2015.
