With all of the stencil fonts created by Jeff Levine from various vintage sources, you would think everything had already been covered. Not so. Along comes Amateur Stencil JNL. Modeled from a child's stencil set from the late 1950's or early 1960's, it vaguely resembles Futura, but its irregular widths and semi-stencil appearance sets it off greatly from that classic typeface.

Halavah Twist JNL is a casual serif font designed by Jeffrey N. Levine and modeled after an early-1960s display font that was quite popular in its day. General Chang JNL is one of a number of fonts redrawn by Jeff Levine from the creative output of the late Alf R. Becker. Becker's alphabets were a monthly feature of Signs of the Times Magazine from the 1930s through the 1950s. Gutta Percha is a font for golfers. It takers its name from a hard, resilient natural substance that comes from the sap of trees grown in southeast Asia and which was used for the hard core of golf balls well into the twentieth century, when it was gradually replaced with synthetic material. It therefore seemed an appropriate name for a font using the image of a golfer of the 1920s. The letters are from our font Besley Clarendon, reduced to 70%. That means that Gutta Percha set at 40 points will have the same size letters as Besley Clarendon set at 28 points. However, it should be noted that the two fonts have different baselines. If you use them together you will have to manually adjust the vertical alignment. Gutta Percha is obviously a very specialized font, both because of the subject matter and because the uppercase is designed for use as dropped caps. There may not be many uses for it, but when it is right, it will be really right. Whether you are publishing a book about the history of golf or a clubhouse bulletin, Gutta Percha will surely be noticed.

Maybe I should have named this font “Communist Block”. But it also works well for Colonial-style tavern signs. It’s square, geometric and rigid, and is the perfect thing for totalitarian themes. Bielik was created for a comic book that I’m working on. Main goal was to achieve random character of texts, so I made three glyphs for every letter, even for diacritics. Firstly I was drawing using brush pen with ink, so thickness of letters was really various. I decided to implement this style into a font. So that is how Bielik came into the world. This is good choice for comic books, children books, display designs and much more. Bielik is a polish word for Haliaeetus albicilla.

I would like to invite you to a party, wedding, birthday, event, gameshow, baby shower, housewarming ... ehh, what I mean is: this is an invitation to (almost) anything! As you may have read, “Indbydelse” is danish and means “invitation” - why? Well, because these four fonts have enough power to create an exciting invitation! Use them as single fonts, combine one, two, three or all four - that’s totally up to you! They all got multilingual support as well as contextual alternates with several different versions of each letter!

Croog is a rounded geometric monoline typeface, built in three weights with true italics. Inspiration for this typeface was derived from FF Roice, with desire to create typeface less spicy or unconventional in appearance and more neutral, calm and friendly to use. Squarish in proportions, monoline letterfoms gain more readability by having short rounded serifs and terminals. The typeface is ideal for use in display sizes, though is quite legible in text. Croog is released as OpenType single master with a Western CP1252 character set.

Pich is a typeface that imitates vivid and free hand-drawn lettering. Each lowercase letter has three alternates and Contextual Alternates feature substitutes them producing random-like effect. Also you can choose required letter from the Glyphs palette. In addition to this Pich has a set of ligatures (both Latin and Cyrillic). All these features allow Pich to look hand-crafted, unique and natural. The font was initially created for Pichshop company. Pich was selected among Top-100 of Russian design (2010) according to the Kak magazine.

New Clear Era is part of a large ongoing project investigating classicism and legibility. The regular version is the base font. Numerous permutations will be performed on this underlying skeleton. Also investigated are the ideas of an extended type family, and trying to understand what makes a contemporary legible, serif typeface. The Mix versions combine characters from the Roman and Display to make quirky fonts that can be comfortably used for setting text. Mix One is the most quirky; Mix Three is the least.
