Neuarc Font Family This is the 20th font family of CozyFonts Foundry, established 10 years ago in 2012 with the release of Aladdin Bold. Neuarc is based loosely on arcs and curves, hence it’s naming. The Parliament typeface was designed by Jonathan Hoefler beginning in 1995. A burlesque typeface in the Regency Blackletter style, Parliament was inspired by the ‘Four-line Pica Black No. 1’ typeface of William Caslon Jr (1821), whose enigmatic design for the letters E, G, I, N, V and Y hinted at a broader ambition to modernize the arcane shapes of the gothic alphabet’s capital letters. Dionisio, a CastleType original, takes its inspiration from one of the overlooked treasures of the CastleType library: Ransahoff. The latter is extremely condensed and very elegant. I particularly like its hairline slab serifs and cross-bars. I decided to use it as a starting point for a new design, but to make the proportions more classic and to make it more sensuous with gentler curves and bracketed cross-bar serifs. The result is very Bodoni-like, but less extreme and more contemporary looking. Meanwhile, Dionisio maintains a hint of Ransahoff with condensed letterforms and very fine serifs. Dionisio brings together the best of both, making it the perfect choice where a slender, sophisticated typeface is needed. Dionisio is available in two widths: normal and condensed, five fonts each. Geronimo is a rough poster script done in the spirit of brush calligraphy experiments conducted by American calligrapher and historian, Professor Alexander Nesbitt. This particular approach to brush script uses a pointed brush. Although Nesbitt considered the pointed brush corruptive and not at all suited to present day western letter forms, he put forth that with enough control of the brush (keeping it upright, maintaining stroke evenness, etc) even an unexperienced letterer can easily draw current day letters, though the result will always show characteristics of the letterer's own handwriting. “Blackduck” font is a typical Gothic, usually named “Blackletter” . This typeface was born with the name of “Textur” and developed from Carolingian cursive. It was used in the middle age as sacred script, became increasingly narrower, his vertical lines were emphasized and his strokes very compacted to save space. Along the time the early German print typefaces derived in others styles that were more readable such as Schwabacher and Fraktur, very popular in Germany and sometimes associated to the identity of the country. The font "Blackduck" was inspired mixing carefully the last two “Blackletters”. We try to joine some characteristics of both to reach good legibility without loosing the strong impact and powerfulness of the shapes. Some minuscules like the “o” “c” “e” “d” are rounded on both sides, while both strokes join in an angle at the top and at the bottom. Some other lower cases are formed by an angular and rounded stroke. This font contains a full set of OpenType features; swashes, stylistics alternates, old style figures (Arabic numeral were carefully shape integrated), ligatures and some extras ornaments were added to help in your design. "Blackduck" includes diacritic signs for Central European languages.
